As you can see Sunset Caribe is a beautiful place to stay, but the pictures don’t do it justice. Not only are the accommodations as nice as pictured, the staff is even better! Kenya checked us in and made us feel right at home; she served us drinks and showed us around. Chanel was our go-to girl for anything we needed; places to eat, things to see, stuff to do AND she was so personable <3. Elmore at the bar was FANTASTIC! Not only does he make amazing drinks with great detail; he is polite, funny, and a great listener. It was fun watching him interact with all the different people, keep the whole place running smoothly, and carry himself humbly and confidently making us all feel welcome and apart of the good time. Cleaning and maintenance were on top of everything all the time which added to the luxury feeling we had. The security was 10/10. Not only were they well staffed, they are observant and great communicators. We met a tour guide unaffiliated with the resort that we wanted to do a dive trip with and I was a little concerned about safety. Once security realized the situation they vetted the tour guide and ensured our safe return. My overall take: GO! There was no better accommodation out there. The place is 10/10 and really sets the tone for your entire trip; THE STAFF MAKE IT WORTH IT. …
We have been to the island about 7 times but never stayed north. Our unit was lovely with everything you need for a comfortable 10 day stay, high quality furnishings throughout. Staff helped with all of our requests, they were so nice. Highly recommend. Pool and hot tub were huge and well maintained. Bartenders provided great service. Condo had great layout for families! Restaurant across the street does delivery if you don’t wish to cook or go out. Location of Sunset Caribe is near several hotspots such as Truck Stop and Stellas wine bar. There are also 2 Palapa bars nearby with great ocean breezes.
Overall we had a good time, however, there was a couple of things that didn't sit right with us. 1. My husband facial wash came up missing. We spoke to the front desk and never heard anything. We followed up with front desk and they told us housekeeping is an older lady and she wouldn't steal. Mind you we had the face wash in the morning, but by night it was gone. Yes, it is a small cost, but it was the principal of the matter and who wants anything stolen. Hotel didn't try to make us whole. 2. We had 2 tvs one upstairs and one down. We had to call maintenance on 3 occasions to fix the tv. On the 3rd time no one came for 24 hours. When we were on our way out we saw a group of maintenance worker and when they saw that we were about to go to office about the matter for the 4th time, then they all were trying to finally help us.…
I had an amazing stay from start to finish at Sunset Caribe. Kenya and Sheridan made the check in process seamless. The welcome drink was delicious. The loft was absolutely beautiful, spacious, and well managed. 5 stars for the decor, very modern and chic. This was a great addition as a sister hotel to the Grand Caribe. Golf cart rental was easy to follow and convenient. The construction of the pool was impeccable especially with an amazing view while the sun was setting. It was large for a great swim session. I would recommend adding some live entertainment. I have 2 main recommendations: E signatures for contracts versus having to sign and email it over. Makes the process more tedious. Also, since the hotel is still being built out, there should at least be a snack bar for quick bites instead of ordering directly from Rain restaurant at Grand Caribe (that can take a long time) .…
I love staying here. Beautiful sunsets, super clean and soooo modern. The kitchen is stunning and you could make your own food. On the back side of the island so you avoid the smell of sea grass. Centrally located, next door to Truck Stop. Easy ride to town or Secret Beach. Felt very safe with my kids, too and family friendly.
Girls trip by 4 seasoned travelers in July 2022. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2 bath room 205. The unit was modern, very spacious and tastefully decorated with a full kitchen. Huge balcony overlooking the pool. It was even nicer than the official website pictures. The hotel has a large pool that felt like an adults only (quiet) oasis while we were there. The hotel is on the lagoon side so no beach access. But amazing views. And we had access to the pool at the sister property across the street Grand Caribe that had several more pools (including swim up bar) and swimable beach access. Shawne at the front desk was patient and very helpful. There is still construction next door but it didn’t bother us at all. Our snorkeling tour company arranged by the hotel picked us up by boat right across the street. The food at the pool and Rain is good. Get the fish sandwich. You can get better rates on golf carts off property but we still used the hotel option one day for the convenience to go to Secret beach. The only suggestion that would make this hotel even better is if they offered a free shuttle into town and maybe also to secret beach a few times a day. I would definitely stay here again.…
We had a great time at Sunset Caribe. Friendly staff, very clean and great location. Sunset views from our balcony were amazing! We also loved that we could go to Grand Caribe. We will definitely be going back!
What a fabulous place to stay! We had a condo loft overlooking the beautiful pool and lagoon. The sunsets were magnificent. Chanel at the front desk was AMAZING, KIND, HELPFUL and made our trip. She booked our tropic air flight, golf cart which you need, all of our tours, covid tests to get back to the US, and gave recommendations for tours and dinner. The nice part was everything was charged to the hotel which made it easier. The location is perfect for a quieter location. We drove to the fun restaurants and bars in our golf cart. We had a great time in Belize!
At first i was a bit skeptical becuase for me the first that comes to mind is to choose a hotel with beautiful sunrise views. This was my very first time staying at a hotel with sunset views and I can surely say it was amazing. I will for sure be returning for a longer stay. Would totally recommend Sunset Caribe.
If you need a quiet getaway from the chaos of life and people and just need a little piece of heaven, this is the place to be. Located a couple miles north of town, you'll appreciate the healthy distance away from the the busy areas of the island yet the ideal distance to get some peace and quiet when you're ready to relax. It's also helps that that customer service at this property is WORLD CLASS! Everyone was friendly and super helpful. I mean, I can't imagine anything otherwise given the beautiful loft, pool, poolside bar, and views. Definitely worth a stay! P.S. You'll need a cab to/from the ferry as well as a golf cart rental for your stay anywhere on the island. You can find both cheaper without going through the hotel. Save your coins!
