I would certainly stay here again. I paid $132 usd per night, having booked months ago, direct with the property. I gather mid May is low season, and I had the sense that only 3-4 of the rooms were occupied each of my 4 nights. Having experienced the place, I think this represents great value for money. I was fortunate to arrive on an earlier flight than anticipated, and the hotel contacted my booked taxi driver, who came directly from church (!) to meet me. Marco gave me some tips as to as where to eat on the short ride to the hotel. Security guard Arnold welcomed me and whisked my bag to my room while I checked in, with a cold orange drink and towel, by Rene. He gave me a short tour of the facilities and my room, Amethyst, tucked in the back, away from the street, which made me happy. Room and were very comfortable, a/c powerful and not too loud, bathroom stylish but small, ditto shower which was tiny (could not dry in there without turning on the water accidentally!). In room safe, plenty of hangers and drawer space, and abundant light fixtures. Plenty of towels, but I had to ask for toiletries twice over my four nights, due to lack of replenishment. Room was cleaned well, but not perfectly (e.g under the beds). Marbled common dining/sitting area where a stunning breakfast was served on my first morning by under-chef Aleena, and on the next three by head-chef Angela, her mum. Both these ladies were a treat to talk with, and could seriously cook. Highlights for me were Aleena’s banana smoothies and Angela’s eggs Benedict. My feelings are mixed about the pool/bar area. I enjoyed two swims upon arrival back from diving, where I had the pool to myself, which was beautiful. However, I barely got dinner served my first night at 7:50pm, despite my seeing later painted on the wall outside that orders were until 8:30pm. The quesadilla I had was passable, but the mojito so good I had another. Loud music was playing, and the area was crowded, which I discovered later was with non-guests, not good! Pool bar was closed Monday, but by this time I had found I could walk across the street and enjoy the amenities of the beach front Caribbean Villas, which also had the benefit of the sea breeze (steps away, not 5 min walk as stated in a recent review). Loud live music at the DL pool drove me back across my final night (it could be heard across the street, and in my room, but thankfully stopped at 9pm) Fantastic, but pricy 90 min massage and 30 min pedicure ($150 usd, excluding tip), by Flora at the in-house spa. The two ladies at the spa seemed to have no customers most of the time, I suspect if the prices were a bit cheaper they’d overall make more money. Ambergris divers have a shack on the Caribbean villas pier, so after my first time going up to the dive shop in town (30 walk, 5-10 min ride), I was picked up and dropped off here, which was super convenient. Complementary bikes available to guests, which I used for a ride into town once. The security guards were always there, so serve as the go-to person once the office closes, for any guest needs. (A shout out to Bairon, who mainly took care of me during my stay). Overall a great choice for someone looking for quiet lodging with easy access to water sports. A bit far out, I suspect, if going out on the town and/or having a huge choice of restaurants is your aim.

If this B&B was on the beach then I would definitely give it 5 stars. It is little bit of a walk (15-20 min) from the beach and the town center (you can barrow their nice bikes too). That said the property is very good shape and nice modern decoration. Both the staff and the owner Glenn are very nice and friendly. I would stay here again if I go back to San Pedro. It is good value for the money.

We found this place via Airbnb, and I am very glad we decided to go with it. Clara was very responsive to my questions, and assisted us with booking a mainland excursion ahead of time (unfortunately our schedule didn't play nicely after missing a day due to a cancelled flight). It's in a good location relative to town, and it was very convenient for us to walk to Belize Pro Dive Center for our diving days. We arrived fairly late, but we were still greeted with a drink, a cool towel, and quick tour of the building. They attempted to get us a taxi from the water taxi pier, but an event that night prevented them from doing so. Our room was modern and very nice. The place is either new or has been recently renovated. The bathroom is large, including a very nicely sized shower. My one suggestion here would be to add nicer shower heads. The large shower space seems wasted with a standard head. The bed was quite comfortable and the air conditioner worked well for the room. One very minor complaint is that the room we stayed in (Pearl) was below the main living area, so we could hear footsteps above us once people started going for breakfast after 7:30am. Ultimately, this was not a big deal. There are security guards on site, and they were helpful with flagging down taxis and food recommendations. The private pool is a nice touch, and we definitely took advantage of that on a lazy day after multiple early mornings for diving. Breakfast was complimentary, and made things easy on the days we slept in. The owner is very nice as well, and his wife even gave us a ride into town one day when we were about to catch a taxi. Honestly, I am surprised they don't charge more per night. I feel like it was a steal staying there for a week. Simply put, you won't regret staying at the Diamond Lodge!

Truly an extraordinary experience. You are greeted with a drink and towel then provided a tour of all the amazing amenities. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need for your stay - they will book a golf cart for you, any excursions, and provide great restaurant recommendations. They have a private pool & bar, breakfast is included every morning, and they have a spa on-site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was the highlight of our trip. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone staying in San Pedro!!

My husband and I were finally able to get away for our 10th anniversary, and we were so happy to make Diamond Lodge Belize our vacation home while we relaxed and celebrated. The staff was super friendly and helpful!! We used the complimentary bikes they offered and toured San Pedro. The staff also helped arrange for us to have a golf cart for another day. Basically, anything we needed, they went above and beyond to help see that we received just that. A new cook started the second morning we were there and we were blown away at the delicious and enormous breakfast spread we were treated too. It kept us full way passed lunch time. The homemade pineapple syrup was out of this world. The hotel was beautiful and very upscale! We enjoyed dining out & relaxing on the side balcony. The beach was a very short walk away along with several restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel as you will definitely feel pampered from the minute you arrive!!
