This was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. The room we stayed in (Sting Ray) was 5 ft. from the pool with a beautiful ocean view. The room itself was laid out nicely. 3 separate rooms, a "living room" with an ocean view, a bedroom and a separate bathroom with a shower and double sinks. It was SO clean and nice. We were treated with a free breakfast of three different choices each day. I especially liked the Belizean breakfast with fry jacks. We also ate dinner at the restaurant several days. The paella and grouper with shrimp in a cream sauce were especially wonderful. In spite of this resort being so beautiful, what really made it special was the people. They all made us feel as if we were part of their family. Each one went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Thank you Linda for making our mornings great with those awesome breakfasts. Thanks to Manny for being our server most meals. Thank you Gian, Zamir, Pablo, Enrique and ALL the other employees who made our stay so special in so many ways. We were also fortunate to meet Mike and Sandy, the owners who live in South Dakota when they're not at the resort. Nice people. We're already planning our next vacation at Bella Vista. Thank you all again and we can hardly wait until we return to this beautiful paradise.

We absolutely lucked into this place. We made somewhat last minute reservations to go down to Belize and we are so lucky to have found this place. There are not very many rooms total (only 4 in the main building on the water) and maybe 8-9 overall. It seemed like everyone knew our name from the moment we arrived and were treated like royalty with each interaction. The location is wonderful (just about 2 miles north of the bridge into town) and we walked it once in less than an hour, most of which was walking along the waterfront. San Pedro is pretty hustle and bustle but, this is the picture of serenity. The food was fantastic! Breakfast burritos (sounds simple but, these were 5-star), fryjacks with pineapple jam, ceviche, etc. All of it was simply delicious and not very expensive at all. Belize has to be one of the least expensive places to visit. Also, don't forget about happy hour (both here and along the water at different places). Linda (bartender and caretaker extraordinaire ) made is feel like family. I will definitely book here again.

The staff at BV Resort were amazing. You can’t ask for better. Top notch service and they went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible. We were able to check into our room extremely early when we thought we would just be dropping off our bags. They were very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. You will still feel like you’re in Belize here versus some of the larger resorts. The grounds are gorgeous and tucked back in to the shore. 10/10 recommend taking the kayak out to the reef, tie it up to a buoy, and have a gorgeous reef to explore/snorkel and clear shallow water to swim in all by yourselves.
