I think of this place and feel like I am visiting a home away from home! This was my first trip to Belize and I totally loved it! Iz, Che, Fernando and David were amazing, as well as all the family support staff! Everyone was so welcoming and kind! They are there to make your stay all you want it to be! I loved having our own private bar and watching the gorgeous sunrise and sunsets from our private pier! A place for total relaxation! We’ll be back! ❤️🌴☀️

After reading all the wonderful reviews for Playa Del Sol, we had high expectations, and we were NOT disappointed! Iz, the owner, arranged for us to be picked up right from the water taxi dock. We were then taken to a grocery store to get things we needed, mainly breakfast. When we arrived at PDS we were greeted with smiles and had drinks at El Norte (the tiki bar) while staff took care of our luggage and even put away our groceries. PDS is secluded and private, with a relaxing view of the beautiful ocean. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that was modern and well designed with gorgeous woodwork from a local artisan. It was immaculate and had all the cooking necessities. David and Oscar took us out in the boat for snorkeling, reef fishing, conch hunting and spear fishing. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. David’s wife cooked our catch on two occasions and it was amazing! We also ordered from their menu, and while I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and ceviche, everything was delicious, even the chicken fingers. We also took the golf cart into town and spent some time in San Pedro and at Secret Beach, which is a “must see”; it’s worth the short drive, I promise! The evenings were spent relaxing at the tiki bar where Iz taught us to play a few dice games (maybe he taught us a little to well. Sorry,Iz! ;) ). Iz, his beautiful wife, and wonderful staff gave us a fabulous vacation that we will never forget. We can’t wait to get back there!

Having stayed north and south of PDS in the past, we were excited to check out this part of the island. It's a ways out of town which might not be for everyone, but it's exactly what we were looking for. You could go into San Pedro if you wanted to, but why would you? Grab some groceries on you way in and you won't have a reason to leave. The beach, bar, pool, grounds, boat, and guest units were all in great shape and well maintained throughout our stay. Iz or one of the staff were always available but never intrusive. del Norte had a small menu but everything we tried was affordable and delicious and the blender was always churning up something cold and refreshing. We had a great time snorkeling for lobster and conch as well as fishing for dinner with David. He even cleaned the entire catch at the end of the day! It's nice to be able to make arrangements for diving, snorkeling, and fishing all on site. We spent quite a bit of time fly fishing nearby and saw bonefish out front on the calm days and never had to go far to find fish. A wonderful and authentic place to spend some time, with the wonderful and attentive staff to make you feel right at home. We are already planning a trip back to Playa del Sol!

Our family just returned from 7 night stay at Playa Del Sol. We acquired so many wonderful memories. I highly recommend staying at this property! We felt very safe and the kids were able to play outside with all the friendly dogs. The advertised snorkeling and fishing tours are not your standardized “tourist trap”. David takes great pride in providing a quality experience in the water. Each adventure was personalized and educational. We traveled with our 3 children (9,9, & 4). Iz staffed the boat with an extra guide to ensure safety of our children. David was extremely patient fishing with all of us. We caught 20 fish! We now regret not taking advantage of the full day fishing trip but there is so much to do and not enough time. Don’t plan any tours before arriving. Iz will sit and plan your days with you based around weather and his expert experience. You will need to rent a golf cart. Property is 10 miles from San Pedro (we were thankful to be away from the crowded downtown). We drove into town 2 times, to the truck stop, and to Secret Beach. Some of our favorite memories are from our golf cart adventures. Kitchen is fully equipped but you will want to eat at El Norte (on property). Food is amazing!!! Try the shrimp nachos, Farronato’s Rum punch, and dirty bananas. Dogs on property are friendly and well behaved. Pool was an added bonus. By the time you leave you will feel like you have made lifelong friends and had a true Belize experience! Hoping to return in the future. We did not have any sea grass.

This place is amazing! From the amazing food to the beautiful setting, you will not be disappointed. This is a real Island experience. David, our tour guide was wonderful. He took us on some great excursions including snorkeling at the Reef and showing us around. I still think about his adorable kids. They cooked the food we would catch, which included fresh fish, conch, and lobster. David’s wife can cook people!!!! The food at the tiki bar was amazing too! Omg..try the nachos..I hope they still have the same bartender, bc he was cool as hell too. Now to Iz. This guy is one interesting dude. We hung out with him in the evenings at the Tiki bar on site. He set up our day to day plans and made our stay special. He makes you laugh and is very fun to get to know. He probably still wonders how I was able to beat him at his hand slapping game!! Sorry Iz!!!😝😝😝 Anyway, this was an experience I’ll never forget and the people we met on this property def left a lasting impression.
