We were on our way to Michigan from Florida and needed to stop late at night due to a storm. Price quoted was 95! I questioned that since I saw it online for $59. Was told that was for 1 bed & 2 people. I used my phone & booked it free with points. I would definitely look elsewhere but it was too late & we were too tired. Our room was clean though Things have not been updated in years and there are maintenance issues. Light bulbs out. Fridge knobs broken. Chips in paint. Still, since I got it for points we were happy to get some rest

We had asked for a first floor room due to the fact that we were traveling with an older dog. I didn’t know that they would put us in the “slum room”. The security lock was completely gone from door, the smoke detector was hanging off the wall. There was a hole in bathroom door, and on the bathroom wall. The covers on bed felt sticky , had cigarette burns on blanket and spread. The lamp shade was falling apart , had cob webs in corners of room. The only so called comfortable chair, under the arm was completely torn. I will say that I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Sleep in your car if all surrounding hotels are booked. We could not even sit our food down. Roaches everywhere. Blood on lamp shades.Checked out after being there 10 minutes. Partial refund given. Please see pictures.

When my husband and I travel, we enjoy spending our pre-sleeping time reading and doing arts and crafts. The lighting in our room was horrible as only two or the four light fixtures actually worked. For the most part, the staff was nice and accommodating. One member did not know where a certain restaurant was located, and it was located about a quarter of a mile away. A chain restaurant, not a family owned business. The place was clean enough, and the breakfast was as to be expected. Not the fault of the motel, but there was a huge Fourth of July fireworks event across the street. Quite noisy. Some people would have enjoyed it though. It was not fun for my autistic son, however.

My friends and I travel together about twice a month, so we have a lot of experience with hotel rooms. Rarely do we encounter ones that were this bad. I needed to change my reservation, so I called the hotel directly. The woman was extremely nice, friendly and very accommodating. This only helped me to believe this was going to be a good hotel. She even made sure we got a first floor room so we wouldn't have to lug everything up the stairs. When we arrived, the hotel is built on a hill, so the first floor is about 3 rooms, with the rest what we considered "basement rooms". However, there was a ramp so this was not too bad. I immediately cranked the AC so that it would be nice and chilly once we returned to the hotel later that night. I also always immediately check for bed bugs. None, so I figured we were good to go. The AC never got chilly. It stayed around 79-80 the entire time. We didn't get back to the room until after 1:00 am, so too late to call and have a maintenance person come by. This hotel is lacking in general cleanliness. It appeared that things were spilled on walls and not cleaned up. But the worst part....COCKROACHES! A LOT of them! While the lights were still on in the room, we saw and attempted to kill at least 5 or 6 of them. I had a very bad experience with roaches about 10 years ago in a rental property I own, so this was a very big issue with me. There was even one running out of the fridge! Needless to say, if we got any sleep at all, it was fitful. Before we packed our cars, we had to shake everything off in the parking lot to make sure we weren't bringing them back home with us. Literally a nightmare. And if the cockroaches aren't enough to make you steer clear of this place, the beds should be. I think the mattresses were circa 1972. They both had curves to them, and one of us ended up sleeping in the chair because they were so uncomfortable. It is convenient to I75, and to Waffle House, where we ate the next morning. There are steps from the hotel to the Waffle House. That was good, since I had a flat tire overnight and needed someone to help change it. The random person who changed my tire, Miles, is a regular Waffle House diner, and was so sweet and helpful. Now, I don't have any idea where I picked up the nail in my tire, but it could be a reasonable assumption that it was picked up in the parking lot of the hotel.
