As per all the previous reviews noted below this is a surprising little gem, don't let the look or location throw you off. Christopher is as heart warming and delightful as any in-keeper I have ever met. We stayed in the Barcelona room #8, and true as with other reviewers it was hard to darken the room enough to sleep,...

We were looking for an out of the way spot for a spring break R&R near nature activities and within driving distance of many major towns. Arcadia was small town atmosphere and very relaxing. The Oak Park Inn was charming, the owner was friendly and charismatic. He was the epitome of hospitality and very generous and accommodating. We loved the...

Don't be put off by the low key reception ... as soon as you alight the stairs to the upper floor it is absolutely delightful. We stayed in the Caribbean (no 7) themed room which was light and airy (5 windows) and prettily decorated. Particularly liked the upper floor lounge area for relaxation - fireplace, sofas, tables/chairs, gently lit. And...

Delightful setting in a small town orientated towards Antiques. The building is charming, but creaks with every step. The breakfast is heavy on pastry. My room couldn't really be darkened. The blinds didn't shut out the street lights and the glass panel above the room door admitted the soft lights from the hallway.

Beautiful old hotel like none I have ever stayed before. You can feel the history the moment you walk through the door. Our room was the Victorian room which was designed beautifully. I did not get to see any of the other rooms but apparently each had a theme. Wifi, Tv, & foot included. Rooms are reasonably priced and the...

Who knew you'd find such a charming Inn in Arcadia Florida, thank goodness we were coming to see relatives nearby and found this little jewel on trip advisor. Owner Chris Brown greets you with a wide smile and gives you the warm and welcoming lay of the land. He offers a 24/7 snack and dessert area that is not to...

Wow. HIstorical, swanky, reasonably priced, and funky! We found this place by chance after striking out in the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte area where we have friends. The Oak Park Inn is a century building turned into a small (10-12 room) charmer. Each room is different but the really impressive offering is what's called "The Suite". Only a little more expensive...

I recently brought a major gospel group in to stay there. They were amazed to say the least. The hotel is beautiful and Mr. Brown,s attention to detail is unmatched. He made sure they had absolutely everything they needed. He even went as far to find out what foods and drinks they enjoyed the most and kept them stocked. One...

I bought my husband an overnight trip to this hotel so we could take our time exploring the antique shops in Arcadia & make a weekend of it. What a great surprise this hotel was. The lobby is delightfully decorated, as are the rooms and common area upstairs. Most of all, the owner is so friendly and accommodating. The kitchen...
