Beautiful springs and wildlife reserve only a short drive from Orlando. We rented a canoe and took a relaxing paddle down the wekiwa river. Great scenery and we saw gators, otters and turtles up close. You can swim in the springs. The water is crystal clear and the water very refreshing in the florida heat. Definitely recommend a trip here.

I've been to many Florida state parks, all were wonderful camp sites and very pet friendly. This location is absolutely not. I have been allowed to let my dog swim/wade in the waters at other springs, and was even told by employees that he was allowed to swim in the kayak launch area. As soon as we got into the... More

The clearest water and in the off-season it is very quiet and relaxing here. Tons of wildlife to see but the views are the best. I love swimming against the current of the spring head for some good cardio then walking the trails. Also fun for kayaking as long as you're not scared of the alligators you will see on... More

We camped here with our family with young children. We loved the campground. Some sites in the interior of the loop had about 30 feet of woody area to play in. The sites on the perimeter of loop had too tall of grass to play in. The spring is a 30 minute walk away, too far with floats, towels, etc.... More

This was our fourth trip to Wekiwa Springs State Park. It was as beautiful as ever. The wildlife was awesome. We saw over two dozen deer on early morning rides and just before dusk. Saw a family of wild turkeys with lots of little ones. We even saw the Fox Squirrel this trip! Couldn't believe how big they are! The... More

Very refreshing to swim in the cold wekiwa springs lake. We rented a canoe for $20 for 2 hours. Which I believe is run by private company. A ranger told me we can rent a canoe/kayak/paddle board from park services, just put $2 a pax in an envelope. It's right before you get to the private rental spot. Beautiful clear... More

Large full hook up sites with 30 amp. Went to the springs swimming and canoed. Had a wonderful time. Friendly and helpful campground hosts and Rangers. Gets VERY busy on the weekend. The only negative is that there is no designated entrance for those staying at the campground. If you leave in your tow car on the weekend, be prepared... More

Kinda boring. Not what we expected. I probably won't be back again. We paid $6 to get in. Bathrooms were filthy. There is a 2 mile trail that leads to the lake. Not worth the walk. Didn't really like the scenery.

We stayed at campsite 4 with our 38' RV. Plenty of room for our 3 slides. 30 amp electricity and water, no sewer at this site. There was a dump, so no problem. A few sites seemed to have sewer hookups. Very clean restrooms. Total feel of nature, yet close to many restaurants, some even deliver to the campsites. Springs... More

We have been camping here for a couple of years usually in mid-January. Sites fill quickly even this time of year so book 10-11 months in advance. Rangers are helpful and keep bathrooms spotless. Sewer hookups at some sites makes week-long stays very easy.
