We choose this campground for its location proximity to Orlando, as we prefer to stay in our RV versus hotels. I wish I had taken pictures, but I found it ironic that they have a "min year" on your RV to stay there, but there are plenty of people in the park with very old units breaking down. The pool... We stay at Lost Lake RV Resort when visiting our son in Orlando. It is a nice campground with good lots. People that run the campground are very nice, friendly and helpful. Terri who will great you when you arrive is very nice and efficient. The campground is close to many restaurants, malls and activities. Thanks for a great visit.... More

Hi Dennis and Kitty, The greatest compliment we can get is a return visit! I thank you for sharing your experience at Lost Lake with others. I understand that some customers who love it here don't really want to share our well kept secret :) but I promise we will always have a nice spot for you here! Safe Travels More

We have been going back to Lost Lake RV Resort, for several months each winter, since early 2007. Well located for our needs, with a great bike path just across the street. We have many friends there that return year after year. Good shopping nearby. It's close to many attractions, but not in the middle of the mayhem. On the... More

Hi Sue, Thank you for sharing the personal experience you've had with us at Lost Lake and for telling the interested readers about our great location, close by but not in the middle of the mayhem. And for reminding us all of the superb bike trail across the street for hiking, biking, and canoeing:) Just Kidding unless your canoe has... More

The title says it all. We didn't even bother to set up at this location. We were scheduled to stay two nights and left after the first. I think it would be safe to say that we were the only campers on the site out of about 20 other PERMANENT residents on site. IT'S NOT A CAMPGROUND IT'S A TRAILER... More

You are so right Jenni C. We are a Trailer park, not a campground. Lost Lake RV Resort does welcome campers but limits tent camping to two consecutive weeks. We do support "Tents for Troops" by giving all active military two free nights but we do not require them to camp in tents. They are welcome to come in with... More

Apopka has some fun things to do around the area and the Disney Parks are a 15-20 minute drive with easy GPS input. West Orange Trail is within walking distance across the street or a quarter mile south on the RV park's street.Go see Apopka Lake, it's pretty big with a big park and lots of parking. After or before,... More

Hi Shelly B. Thank you for taking the time to review Lost Lake RV. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here? I don't actually work out of the reception office so I don't recall meeting you but I am not usually quiet and have been known to call things like I see them. If I grumped you somehow, I apologize... We were visiting family in the west Orlando area and this RV park was the closest park on our Google search. We found the park to be overall 'tired'. Good water and electric. 30 and 50 amp available. Good sewer. NO cable TV. Free WiFi. Pool, showers, laundry on site. Backing into the sites was a challenge and then nearly... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Lost Lake RV. The horse trail you mention is actually the West Orange Trail and extends for 47 plus miles and will eventually join with other existing trails to loop the entire Orlando and surrounding suburbs! We are fortunate to be in an area where the trail includes equestrians as well as... More

Don't even try it if you have a large fifth wheel. Lady that was there that night insisted we could fit in space(well maybe if we had a chain saw to cut out a tree. I will say she didn't argue about a refund. Just so relieved not to have to had stayed. Creepy.

I'm not sure what I can say to make this better for you. I'm sorry that you arrived after dark. I'm sure that an unknown location that is heavily treed in a rural area and lit only by scattered streetlights can seem creepy. But I totally feel the same way. If I'm traveling and looking for a park after dark,... More

The owners were very friendly coming in, but after being here a few weeks, they appear rude and unconcerned. The office employee is flighty and is not able to make any decisions without trying to contact owners. If you are looking for an overnight stay it's OK, but long term, they have absolutely nothing to offer. The park is run... More

We recently stayed in the Apopka area while visiting a relative who was having surgery. “This park is only about 15 miles from Disney but it took us 45 minutes one way to get to Disney because of traffic conditions. If you are going to Disney or Universal, I suggest staying at a closer site even if you have to pay more, you'll save the extra in gas. But if you are planning on staying around Apopka, this is a nice place.”
