This is an old motel but the location and view are great. Breakfast and an adult beverage are included in the stay. Caroline's service at breakfast is anything but fast. Be ready to have a "leisurely" breakfast. The food is great and worth the wait. The rooms are dated, clean and comfortable. This is our second stay and will be... More

We stayed 3 nights while touring the area. It is a nice rustic older place with a great view of the river. We stayed upstairs with a king bed and deck with nice view. We watched the Shrimp boats leave every night going down the river. There is no elevator so we had to carry our luggage upstairs, thank goodness... More

Stopped by this interesting bar across from the water - open 28 days so far! Friendly and great beer. I thought it was great that dogs allowed and they have indoor and inside seating. Decor interesting -used to be several businesses - but equipment overhead was used for boat repair. Music wonderful - Blues Authority. Worth the visit - no... More

After a six hour drive from Tampa Bay my bride and I checked into our upstairs room at the Apalachicola River Inn. We have stayed there several times over the years and have always been pleased with our accommodations overlooking the river. The Inn is a little long in the tooth, but is still comfortable and includes a really grand... More

We made reservation months in advance to get rooms next to each other. Unfortunately the rooms we were supposed to get were given away the night before we got there. We were given toons on different floors. The room I had was next to the Lounge and it was Kareoke night. Kind of difficult to sleep. Found out later they... More

Had the privilege of staying here to ride out hurricane. Was able to bring my dog which was great. Had great river views! The breakfast which came with the room was better than anyplace I have been! Great screened in porch to have leisurely meal! The town was quaint with lots of great shops, antique stores, and restaurants! True gem!

Escaped the hurricane, turned away from hotels because of our small dog, finding this hotel was a blessing. 2 day stay in a quaint inn with so much hospitality relieved our stress. Thanks & bless you.

Boss Oyster has good food. The hotel is attached. Dog friendly. Easy walk to everywhere. Bar open until 2 which is late for this town. Another fancy restaurantAND a bar that can't be discounted, it is functional. The rooms are better than Combs or Gibson. Not to knock those great places (you can't go wrong with any).

Apalachicola has many overnight options. We chose the River Inn because of the balcony and the view. We had stayed at a marina next door while cruising on our sailboat and liked watching the river activity. That is probably the only reason I would return. It is convenient to walking to restaurants. The inn is rundown (rustic) and overpriced, but... More

The River Inn IS old Florida with all it's charm. If you like: being right on the river & watching the oystermen, shrimp boats, fishermen & wild life; great gourmet breakfast included; great friendly staff; within walking distance to almost everything in town - you will love this Inn. No, it is not fancy but it is clean & they... More
