If you like big ole' mansions with a lot of history, this is a really good choice. It comes with modern conveniences, like ample parking, combined with a lot of stuff from previous centuries. It's well staffed; the service is excellent and the breakfast will last you well past noon. I would give it 5 stars except for two things.... More

Went for a weekend get-a-way and was impressed by the house and the staff. We were unable to get a room in the main house so stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites which was amazing. Large, comfortable bed, large jacuzzi tub and our own porch with comfortable furniture to relax in while we pondered the cemetary across the street.... More

We booked the king jacuzzi suite and were placed in the house next door to the main property which was an old house subdivided in to four units. We stayed in unit C. There is no individual control of the temperature. We got very hot at night and turned on the ceiling fan. The fan squeaked and rumbled. The was... More

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Love the rooms. Only thing I could say is the outside could use a little maintenance. Besides that we absolutely loved it. Didn't want to leave!!! We could have stayed another week.

I had so much excitement about staying at this Inn and there is so much potential. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. We even stayed in the "Heavenly 11" suite, which was very nice. We never did get the shower to work, although we were told to pull the handle harder. We could not have pulled any harder. The breakfast... More

My sisters and I met to enjoy a good shopping, eating, and time to catch up and catch our breath weekend (July 15-17). The Coombs Inn was well located, clean, and staffed with friendly people. We arrived on Friday in time for the wine and cheese gathering and loved meeting other guests and chatting with the innkeeper Crystal. The wine... More

I was looking for a place for 5 sisters to meet between Jacksonville and Pensacola. Apalachicola seemed like a good weekend getaway but all the hotels were booked. Even the Coombs inn was booked when I looked online, but a lot of people had recommended it so I called anyway, just to make sure. The innkeeper, Crystal, told me she... More

We loved our long weekend here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. In fact they have a golf cart to take you anywhere in town. They also have bikes and beach chairs you can borrow. I can't say how much we enjoyed our room (suite C) and how nice the staff was.

Clean and cute. That's all. I read some of the other reviews about loud traffic and lukewarm showers. I didn't experience those issues. The buildings are quaint and comfortable and clean. I wasn't crazy about having to walk to another building for breakfast. But not a super huge deal. I felt like we were stuck in the back of an... More

My friends and I had two rooms on the bottom floor of this quaint old bed and breakfast June 20th of this year. The house is in great shape but definitely authentically old and was at one time a grand manor home. There were three big rooms on the first floor, a small office in the huge foyer, and a... More
