What a pleasant surprise. It's a small "studio-like" unit, clean, smells good (does not smell musty) and just absolutely cute and charming. The entire property is well maintained. It took us a few minutes to figure out the map and parking. So the entrance and parking is via a back alley way. You are assigned your own parking spot (just one space). It has the unit # assigned to the parking spot. Unit 107G is a downstairs unit by the pool area and walking distance to the beach. There is an upstairs unit above us and because the building is old, you can hear people walking which was no big deal.
The booking process was just seamless. We arrived on a Saturday before checkin in time of 4pm and found out key in an envelope in the mailbox of the real estate office which is located minutes from the beach cottage. The check out process was similar whereby you drop the keys off at the mailbox of the real estate office.

Recently came back from a two day stay at Anna Maria Beach Cottages ... this was the third time I've stayed there and it won't be my last. I absolutely love the charming studio cottage ... very private, immaculate inside and outside, and just steps away from the beach to enjoy the sunset. I love that the cottages are located on a residential street ... it is very quiet and away from any traffic noise and the trolley stop is located at the end of the block if you don't want to use your car.. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to ensure an enjoyable stay. Nearby are plenty of nice restaurants and shops to enjoy.. Shops and restaurants in Bradenton Beach on Bridge St. are but a 10 minute ride away and nearby Sarasota is an easy drive along the scenic coast. Looking at the beautiful water and blue skies makes me happy to be living in Florida!

Cottage 110G is a relaxing stay in a quiet neighborhood. The beach is 50 years away and wonderful to stroll along. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. The room was tastefully decorated and had all the kitchen equipment that we could need. The noise from the upstairs room was minimal and the pool was nice. The only complaint is that only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a 4 night stay. Very stingy.

My husband and I rented cottage 110 A at 112 Oak Ave., Anna Maria Island from 10/1 till 10/3. It was the worst experience. First on Friday night I turn down the bed to find a stain on the white sheets I called the number and no one got back to us until Saturday morning at 10:40 AM we got back from the beach on Saturday at 1 PM and still the bed had not been changed. We went for a few drinks and dinner to come back to the cottage and the clean sheets we’re on the couch we had to change the bed ourselves. On Friday Night we sat on the deck to play cards and my husband went to turn on the light over the table and it was full of water and poured all over me and the table and it also did not work. outside furniture was awful the cushions did not even fit the chairs and Were ripped the cottage has not been dusted in God knows how long. went to take a shower and found dead ants in the tub. for a place that charges 350.00 I night is totally unacceptable. We wouldn’t stay there again if it was free very disappointing see attached photos

This is our second year in cottage 107 which is a beautifully decorated cottage with a full stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and it was a challenge to get the kids to leave the cottage to go to the beach as the cottage has so much charm. The beach is only steps away and you can borrow chairs/umbrellas/bikes from the resort. Even though the cottage is very close (walking distance)to the main town in the north, the beach is very quiet as it is in the northern part of the island. It does not take long to get to the more touristry part down south but the north feels more authentic. The customer service was top notch and it was very easy to get contact and support if needed. Would highly recommend if you want to spend some days in lovely anna maria island

We made a quick trip to AMI for a long weekend. The accommodations at the Beach Cottages were just wonderful. Light, airy and private. Short walk to the beach was just right. Only possible (slight) negative was that some of the beach equipment provided could stand to be updated or replaced.

My husband and I rented Cottage 109 at the last minute and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable. We were just down from the beach access and enjoyed our privacy. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. This will definitely be our first of many visits. I highly recommend!

Great place, it is quiet, quaint, cute, cute, cute. We have been going down to Anna Maria Island for years. My wife picked this place and it is great. It is 10-11 cottages placed into 5-6 buildings. Pool in the middle. The place range from a nice motel room to a 3 bedroom house - look at web site. All of the places have kitchens. It's on the north side of Anna Maria Island, one lot from the gulf. The beach access is from either side of the resort, one is a wooden walkway and the other is a little sandy trail. The beaches there were very quiet (in Sept). The place has free bikes and beach stuff to use, which was very nice. Less to pack. It's a short walk to the Sandbar restaurant, which is great for sunset dinners outside. The units I saw two were similar Very cottagey. I recommend for families and couples who want a restful quiet place. It is a great romantic place. Has free wireless which I love since I'm addicted to the internet. I saw a sign saying they were being sold to individuals (as condos) They said that the place would even get better as the individuals all put their personal money and tastes into the units. That is a big plus in my book. We are going back in the spring so I will update then with any changes. I will take a bunch of pictures too

My wife, 3 young kids and I have travelled to AMB Cottages twice in last 3 years, for week long stays. Nothing changed from the first time we vacationed there, other than the original owners (Nigel and Maggie, if I remember correctly) were not there anymore the second time (Nov, 2007). Too bad: they were a very nice people and great hosts. AMBC is very clean, perfect for young families with young kids. The beach is quiet, the ocean is usually calm. A great place for a low key, very relaxing, safe vacation (Watch out for the sting rays though! Do the SR shuffle. A good sting ray barb hurts a ton... until you put the affected area in very hot water). Grocery store is close by. Nice little ice cream shops and restaurants. Walk to beach from cottages. Cottages are very clean. Most cottages have private terrase with table and chairs and an outdoor shower to rinse off after beach. ANB is the nicest beach I have ever been to (better than many others I have been to - Cuba's, the Dominican's, Jamaica's, Maine's, Rhode Island's, other Forida beaches, etc...)
The issue we had this time around (and it is enough to detract us from staying at AMB Cottages again) was after we left. It is petty, but petty enough for my wife and I, both professionals, working for large international corporations and owning our own multi-site retail company, not to bother with the current owners/managers again. Upon our return to Canada, we were accused via email of leaving the place untidy and with some small damage. By untidy, we were told that some of the dishes were not clean and that one side of the stove was dirty (the side on which the kitchen garbage pail rested on...so its kind of reasonable that there may be a smudge or two as tranfer from the garbage.) We ran the dishwasher before leaving and placed as much as we could back in its original place. Dishes were not dirty. Having both extensively travelled worlwide for business, we left the place like we would leave a hotel room - the beds were not made, and the towels were resting on the floor next to the bath, but the rest was claned up, garbage emptied, dishes and counter clean. In addition, we (actually our kids) were accused of leaving a small marker spot on one of the bed covers... which seems difficult to do when the kids did not bring any (pen, pencil, marker, paint) writing implements. Actually we brought no toys as we knew there are games, videos and beach toys available at AMBC.) And finally, the managers also accused us of scratching the wall behind one bed leg (a scratch I saw was there when I brought the two single beds together the first night so that my kids could sleep as in one large bed.)
Again, this sound petty and the $100 extra charge they put to our credit card is no skin off our back. But the way we were treated when we asked for an explanition, and after spending more than $1,300 for 6 nights of stay, just got the best of my wife and I. To be told, as a guest, via an email from the managers that "we are very disappointed with you" was a joke. I asked to be called back and they never returned my call. I also asked them to put me through to the owner of the cottage but they never did.
Would I rwecommend AM Beech as a destination for a relaxing vacation by the beach? Definitely. Would I recommend AMB Cottages. Yes...but... the current management team severely lacks professionalism and customer relationship management skills.

Wanted to book for us and ur friends a cottage from Friday to Monday and it said it is available. Then paid and now got the cancellation. Which the reason: it can be only booked 1 week! Such a bad impression for this island. Seems the owner is not playing correct. Then make a min. Stay of 7 days and don't let people book the property! Such a shame

We have 4 stand alone cottages (basically houses). 2 are 2 bedroom and 2 are 3/4 bedroom cottages. We do not have 1 bedroom stand alone cottages.
There are more places to choose from in the Anna Maria area.
