ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES Stayed in 112 for 2 weeks in may and found 4 live roaches running around. Found half eaten tub of ice cream in drawer with a dirty spoon (hence the roaches), dishwasher does not clean and had to hand wash, stove top is broken and they charged us an additional $50 cleaning fee when we left. They state that there was sand on the counters, we moved a couch (nothing states that we could slide furniture), dishes were dirty (DW was broken and we habd cleaned it all) and we broke a lamp (which we provided pictures that it was already broken). They refuse to credit our $50. BEWARE, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU CHECK IN AND SEND TO THEM!!
What a pleasant surprise. It's a small "studio-like" unit, clean, smells good (does not smell musty) and just absolutely cute and charming. The entire property is well maintained. It took us a few minutes to figure out the map and parking. So the entrance and parking is via a back alley way. You are assigned your own parking spot (just one space). It has the unit # assigned to the parking spot. Unit 107G is a downstairs unit by the pool area and walking distance to the beach. There is an upstairs unit above us and because the building is old, you can hear people walking which was no big deal. The booking process was just seamless. We arrived on a Saturday before checkin in time of 4pm and found out key in an envelope in the mailbox of the real estate office which is located minutes from the beach cottage. The check out process was similar whereby you drop the keys off at the mailbox of the real estate office. We will be back! Thank you!…
My husband and I rented cottage 110 A at 112 Oak Ave., Anna Maria Island from 10/1 till 10/3. It was the worst experience. First on Friday night I turn down the bed to find a stain on the white sheets I called the number and no one got back to us until Saturday morning at 10:40 AM we got back from the beach on Saturday at 1 PM and still the bed had not been changed. We went for a few drinks and dinner to come back to the cottage and the clean sheets we’re on the couch we had to change the bed ourselves. On Friday Night we sat on the deck to play cards and my husband went to turn on the light over the table and it was full of water and poured all over me and the table and it also did not work. outside furniture was awful the cushions did not even fit the chairs and Were ripped the cottage has not been dusted in God knows how long. went to take a shower and found dead ants in the tub. for a place that charges 350.00 I night is totally unacceptable. We wouldn’t stay there again if it was free very disappointing see attached photos…
Recently came back from a two day stay at Anna Maria Beach Cottages ... this was the third time I've stayed there and it won't be my last. I absolutely love the charming studio cottage ... very private, immaculate inside and outside, and just steps away from the beach to enjoy the sunset. I love that the cottages are located on a residential street ... it is very quiet and away from any traffic noise and the trolley stop is located at the end of the block if you don't want to use your car.. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to ensure an enjoyable stay. Nearby are plenty of nice restaurants and shops to enjoy.. Shops and restaurants in Bradenton Beach on Bridge St. are but a 10 minute ride away and nearby Sarasota is an easy drive along the scenic coast. Looking at the beautiful water and blue skies makes me happy to be living in Florida!…
We made a quick trip to AMI for a long weekend. The accommodations at the Beach Cottages were just wonderful. Light, airy and private. Short walk to the beach was just right. Only possible (slight) negative was that some of the beach equipment provided could stand to be updated or replaced.
My husband and I rented Cottage 109 at the last minute and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable. We were just down from the beach access and enjoyed our privacy. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. This will definitely be our first of many visits. I highly recommend!
This is our second year in cottage 107 which is a beautifully decorated cottage with a full stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and it was a challenge to get the kids to leave the cottage to go to the beach as the cottage has so much charm. The beach is only steps away and you can borrow chairs/umbrellas/bikes from the resort. Even though the cottage is very close (walking distance)to the main town in the north, the beach is very quiet as it is in the northern part of the island. It does not take long to get to the more touristry part down south but the north feels more authentic. The customer service was top notch and it was very easy to get contact and support if needed. Would highly recommend if you want to spend some days in lovely anna maria island
After spending 2 weeks in Disney and Universal we drove to Anna Maria Island. Driving on to the island we knew we were in for a treat. But when we arrived at Anna Maria Beach Cottages it was the icing on the cake. This resort is just amazing. A one minute walk to the most gorgeous beach. A location where all your troubles or worries are forgotten. The cottage we rented was 109G. For two adults and a 12 year old it was just perfect. Studio with king bed, sofa bed, full kitchen, wardrobe, bathroom etc. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The outside area was shaded but didn’t matter as we spent most of our time around the island or on the beach. They have a selection of beach chairs, umbrellas etc for you to use on the beach but bring your own beach towels. You can also take the bikes out to tour the island. So safe to cycle around as the maximum speed limit on the island (that I saw) was 35mph. The attention to detail was brilliant. Everything you need after two weeks walking parks or 50 weeks working hard. Make sure to get to the beach for sunset. Just a warning - no alcohol is allowed on the beach. sheriff patrols regularly and there’s a $500 fine if caught. Highly recommend AMBC. …
We're almost locals since we only live 3 counties away, and Anna Maria Beach Cottages is now our first-choice place to stay whenever we go to Anna Maria Island. This time we were on AMI as part of a string of short trips to celebrate our anniversary later in the week, so I'm relieved that everything turned out perfectly. That's directly thanks to the great staff at AMBC; specifically Beckie, Tierney, Francine, Heather, and the gentleman who I believe does handyman type work for the property (regrettably, I didn't get his name). In any case, AMBC is just a stone's throw away from one of the best beaches in Central Florida (close enough that it's a very short walk without crossing any streets, yet not so close that you have beach-goers peering in your windows). In fact, the north end of AMI is even better than the beach down by where you come onto the island, since there are fewer people because most of the north end is private residences. That means AMBC is the perfect balance of quiet enough at night that you can sleep peacefully, and still just a short walk or trolley ride to various restaurants (for a few of the good ones recommended by locals, check my reviews immediately prior to this one). Btw, while we love animals just as much as anyone else, we like the fact that AMBC doesn't allow pets since we don't want to sleep to the sound of a barking dog while on vacation, sleep in a bed that had someone else's dog in it the day prior, deal with possibly bringing fleas back to our home, etc. Our AMBC cottage was clean, well-kept, decorated nicely, and had everything we needed (including a fully-equipped kitchen). The broader property also has everything you could need for a stay at the beach (bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, a swimming pool, etc. And we actually prefer bringing our own beach towels (bathroom towels are provided), rather than paying the higher prices that would be necessary for a place that's not a big corporate hotel chain to provide an endless supply of beach towels that constantly get destroyed or lost/forgotten/stolen. Similarly, since square footage is obviously limited on any island, and AMI in particular is a very sought-after location, it's understandable that there's not a lot of extra space dedicated to oversized or extra parking, so we didn't have any issue with that subject either. All of the things I mentioned combine to mean that, for all of our particular tastes, everything about AMBC is absolutely perfect. I almost don't want to tell others for fear that our preferred cottage will never be available when we want it, but that wouldn't be fair to the business. So, even beyond this review, we plan to tell all our friends who also like to visit AMI that they have another option for where to stay.…
