Stayed here for a hockey tournament right before the holidays. Had a nice room in the newer part of the hotel - very comfortable and cozy, close to the Seasons restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well located in the town of Avon, not far from West Hartford.

Thank you for taking the time to pass along your comments from your recent stay while visiting for the hockey tournament. We accommodate many guests each evening, and we strive to make their night's stay a satisfying one. The principal goal of our hotel is to provide dependable service to all of our guests at reasonable prices. But, it's only...

Stayed here last week and really enjoyed it. It is just outside Hartford but feels like it is miles away. We got it late and I was pleasantly surprised the restaurant was open. The food was excellent and a good value. The room was nice but the carpet was a little tired.

This hotel, from the outside, looks almost posh. Well designed, with attractive landscaping and public rooms. But inside, what lurks is a run down place with a lot of deferred maintenance and cheap amenities. Dirty carpets, old furniture, marred woodwork and paint, droopy light fixtures, and fractured bathroom sinks. The canopy bed looked lovely until, upon closed observation, I saw...

I've stayed at Avon Farms for ten years, several times a year. The rooms, restaurant, lounge are all first rate, and fair for the price. It's clearly the best hotel property in the area... but the front desk staff often makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by letting your stay there. Rates fluctuate, rooms are available...

On September 25 my wife and I drove from Ithaca, NY heading for the Hartford CT area. Toward evening we realized that there were few if any lodgings that seemed promising. As we drove into the town of Avon we spotted the Avon Old Farms Hotel and stopped to check it out. And what a surprise it was! It is...

We stayed here for one night on a leaf-peeping trip. The room was comfortable and smart, although the bathroom was a bit small. The dinner menu was adventurous enough to make this a good choice for a special occasion.

Stayed here for three nights on a business trip and had some R&R time. Shared a room with my Son. Two fabulous King sized double beds (probably the comfiest I have ever slept in), large en suite and nice desk area. The hotel is situated in a leafy suburb of Avon in Connecticut. The reception, bar area and restaurant were...

I was at the hotel for a crafting retreat for 3 nights. The hotel grounds were lovely - beautiful autumn tree colors. I particularly liked the decor of my room - nice wallpaper, big comfy bed, large screen tv, couch, chair, coffee table. The bathroom decor was pleasant, with tasteful blue-and white ceramic accessories. Hotel service was good - couldn't...

My wife and I stayed in the Avon area for a HS reunion. This hotel failed to satisfy us in one experience after another, especially for the price. First, the TV didn't work throughout the complex. The clerk never mentioned this when we checked in. This disrepair continued for our 2 day stay. Then, the "fresh fruit" that staff reported...

Had a 3-night visit for a business event, which was held on-site. Jeffrey the General Manager was unbelievably attentive, catered to our every need, and even went above and beyond to make sure our experience at the property was stellar. I really can't say enough about him. Mark at the front desk was also phenomenal. The whole staff treated us...
