A cozy place to stay while visiting a few friends in the area. All the charms of old New England homes + a delicious sustainable breakfast procured from her own farm or respected local farmers. I was even given a casual tour of the barn, got to feed the pigs leftover pumpkin, and watched her milk one of the goats. Hope to stay again next time I'm in the area!
This was our last stop on a wonderful trip to Maine and Connecticut, and we are so glad to have found this place. This gorgeous pet friendly Bed and Breakfast is full of lovely tasteful decorative accents, the bed is deliciously comfortable and the breakfast is superb! The room has an independent entrance by a deck were the delicious breakfast is served in the morning at the time of your choice. In the back of the garden there’s a chicken coop and cute farm animals. We hope to go back soon!!
A fabulous visit with very gracious hospitality A little hard to find the driveway but GPS is helpful . We found the room to be very homey for us and enjoyed the decor. Breakfast was delightful with a majority of the food served to have been either grown on the premises or locally. Before we left we had a chance to visit with the farm animals including chickens, goats, sheep and some small hogs including some who had been born with the last two weeks. We will definitely return
I previously reviewed this place but couldn’t add photos. So now I am reiterating what a great place this is. Highly recommend this place to anyone flying through New England looking at schools. If you can’t sleep they even have sheep and a fence.
Everything about our stay at Henrietta House was perfect! We chose the suite and were delighted in our accommodations. The layout was well thought out, comfy bed, updated bathroom and a deck looking out over the barn and gardens. We took advantage of the deck when we returned from Sharpe Hill Vineyard with some very good wine. An added touch were the wildflowers in a vase that Jasmine had arranged for us. I loved petting the goats and sheep, so cute and very friendly. In the morning we were treated to a delicious full breakfast, served with fresh goat yogurt right from the farm. Marian and Jasmine joined us and we enjoyed hearing the history of the B&B. After breakfast we went for a short, one mile hike on a trail that starts at the edge of the property. We loved our stay so much that we booked another getaway before we left!…
