We stayed for 2 nights. The nicest hotel staff ever. David couldn’t have been nicer for morning breakfast . They were always concerned about how your stay is going. Tracy was on duty when we arrived and gave us all the info we needed especially restaurants. Then she called our room to see if everything was ok When we checked out David gave us water and cookies for on the road. The inn was in walking distance to shopping and restaurants and the bus stops right in front of the inn. When in Aspen this Inn is a must stay.

Room 107 was spacious with a small but ample bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean and quaintly decorated. We kept our blinds shut often, which made the room dark, because it faces the interior of the Inn and looks across to the main lobby. The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. There is also a laundry facility available for guests to use. Hidden secret: There is a balcony on the second floor available for guests to use. My only suggestions to improve this experience would be for the Inn to provide mini fridges and irons and ironing boards in the room.
The location of this Inn is within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping in Vail. There is also a bus stop just outside the front door (free bus system in Vail).

Room Tip:Â The town is very busy from 4-5 pm. Use the free bus system. It is awesome to get around town.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to rate your stay at The Annabelle Inn. We are glad you had such a good experience overall. We appreciate all your kind comments, as well as your constructive critique. We are pleased you found the upper deck...it is a rare find! We are in the process of evaluating which rooms could accommodate a small fridge! Not all the rooms are the size of the one in which you stayed, so that is a consideration. I have noted your comment about irons and ironing boards...we hope that you did find what you needed in the guest laundry area. We appreciate your business, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Inn on your next visit to Aspen. Best, David Front Desk

We have been coming to Aspen for nearly 40 years, staying at various places, but we had never stayed at the Annabelle Inn before. I called the hotel directly to book a room and casually mentioned that we wanted to see the fall foliage and celebrate my husband's birthday. When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket with a note wishing my husband a happy birthday. We also received bottled water and chocolate chip cookies when we checked in.
The outstanding feature to us of the Annabelle was the caring and attentive staff. Everyone whom we contacted provided excellent customer service.
At the time we visited, Pitkin County (where Aspen is located) had a strict mask requirement in any indoor public space. The Annabelle enforced this and we appreciated it. Breakfast was provided in a cozy dining area off of the lobby. We were given a choice in advance of a hot breakfast item - either a meat or vegetarian burrito or a sausage sandwich. There was also a buffet of cold items: cereal, cheese, muffins, juice, etc. Coffee and hot water was available in the lobby area throughout the day.
We thought that the prices for the rooms were reasonable, especially for Aspen. Free parking is also a plus.
The location is within walking distance of downtown restaurants and shops and close to the Aspen Music Festival Benedict tent. We were disappointed that there was no refrigerator in the room, but we did use the Keurig coffee maker.

Hello Darlene, Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review of your recent stay at The Annabelle Inn. We are flattered by your kind remarks! We welcome feedback of all kinds and hope you'd let us know any ways in which we could have enhanced your visit. We are talking about the possibility of adding small refrigerators to some of the rooms, space allowing. Food service has certainly been a challenge in the era of the pandemic. We're glad you appreciated our efforts to provide something of quality to our guests. We look forward to a time when we can go back to a little more sumptuous buffet of the past. We are grateful for your business and hope we have the chance to serve you on our next trip to Aspen. Best, David Front Desk

We had a fabulous 10 night stay at the Annabelle Inn. The Inn is in a great location, with RFTA bus stops literally outside the front door, and a short walk into Aspen itself. The rooms are individually decorated and so home like, with the fluffiest bath towels and robes available, and the beds ensured we had a restful nights sleep. The hot tubs, ski lockers, vending machine and laundry are an added bonus!
Breakfast is great, with a selection of foods and a fresh baked quiche every morning. My teenagers loved the fresh baked cookies while my husband and I enjoyed the apre experience with other guests, twice a week.
Thank you Tracey, David, Molly and Anne for welcoming us back to Aspen,
and once again making it hard to leave.
We hope to see you again!

The staff at the Annabelle is excellent. We were treated well and with respect. The entire staff was very friendly and we were made to feel quite welcome. We had a continental breakfast (yogurts, fruit, cereal, cheese, coffee, juice). Because of COVID restrictions, the hot breakfast wasn't available, but we were given options of either a breakfast burrito or egg & sausage sandwich. The Inn has ordered an ice machine that dispenses ice like major hotels, but because of a restricted supply chain (thanks, COVID), the ice dispenser is open and can get germy, so staff keeps it locked and we had to ask for ice. That wasn't too inconvenient because we knew the ice was clean and no dirty hands were scooping the ice, but it was a real issue if we wanted ice after 7:00 pm because the office closes then. That will be resolved later this year when the new ice machine comes in. We were grateful for the staff watching out for our safety. The staff was extremely helpful in restaurant and shopping ideas. Local busses are available to Maroon Bells so we don't have to pay for parking. That bus stop is right on the corner of the Inn.

Terrific stay. We would be happy to stay here again next time we come to Aspen.
The service can't be beat. They are happy to answer any question of fill any need. Location is just a few blocks from down town and they provide you will at parking permit that allows you to park anywhere in the area except the very heart of down town. We had a deluxe queen which was nicely furnished, clean and provided for all our needs. It include a Keurig coffee maker and supplies and they will provide ice on request. The internet is free but is a bit spotty but I except that has more to due with being in the mountains than it does with the inn's service.
There are a number of lovely little sitting areas outside as well as a small koi pond. Compliment breakfast includes a few hot items (due to COVID: egg and cheese sandwich, chorizo, egg and potatoes burrito, or a veggie burrito. You can also select from an array of cold items including: yogurt, cheese, cereal, muffin, fruit and juice.
Overall it provided great option in a good location for a reasonable price.

Pros: Great location close to the Aspen city center. The hotel staff is very friendly, they are trying to be helpful, they can offer you great suggestions about the area.
However, I need to be objective.
Cons: My room was small and bed was not comfortable. Room was facing Main Street so you could hear street noise. I also heard noise coming from a room above me: conversation and TV. Rooms have no fridge. Breakfast is unappealing and consist of low quality prepackaged items. I could not find anything edible for me. For those who like or tolerate this type of food, note they serve breakfast from 8:00 AM. As a hiker I wake up early and want to have breakfast early, preferably 6:00-6:30. It is important to have a good breakfast before hiking so you have energy and you are in good mood. Note that in Aspen very few places open early. And since rooms in the hotel have no fridge or kitchen, it was not a pleasant experience to look for anything decent to eat in the mornings. They offered me a cooler with breakfast but ended up not delivering it. Maybe that’s good because again I noticed that the food they offer for breakfast is not edible.
It is true you get what you pay for. Aspen is expensive. Staying in this hotel may seem to be expensive but maybe not if you compare to other accommodations in the city.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at The Annabelle Inn. We appreciate your comments regarding the positive aspects of your visit and have taken to heart those things which did not meet your expectations. From the description of your room, it is apparent that you booked a Standard Queen room. We are very upfront and specific at the time of booking that those rooms are our value-priced rooms because there is possible road noise being on Main Street, and they do have a smaller footprint than those rooms in the other price categories. We are disappointed our breakfast options did not please you as well. As this is a public forum, we feel we have the right to at least inform potential guests what we are offering, so that they too can make smart decisions about reserving with us. We have offered the following items/brands all season: 2 flavors of Noosa Yogurt, Tillamook cheddar cheese, packaged hard-boiled eggs, Otis Spunkmeyer blueberry muffins, Gluten-free chocolate muffins, a choice of two fresh fruits, 2 flavors of Ocean Spray juices, an assortment of General Foods cereals, coffee, and tea. We also offer a choice of four hot items, all brands available in major supermarkets. In this era of COVID, we do not feel comfortable offering open trays of food, so we have adopted CDC guidelines for self-serve pre-packaged items, all of which are not substandard brands as you suggest. Perhaps you were expecting a full-service gourmet kitchen/dining room, which we do not have. You noted that we do offer a custom-packed cooler for those wanting to get an earlier start, delivered the night before with your selected items and an ice pack. Apologies that slipped through the cracks. That is a valid criticism for a mistake that we can't reverse. We pride ourselves on the price point we offer in comparison to high-end luxury accommodations from corporate-level properties found around town. We appreciate your business and truly wish you the best in all future travels and in your home. Best, David Front Desk

The Annabelle in is staffed by a wonderfully friendly and helpful group of people who make the experience of staying there really great. The rooms are comfortable, there are 2 hot tubs and there is breakfast to help your day start off right each morning. The hotel is positioned on Main street about 5-10 minutes walk from downtown Aspen and extremely close to bus stops either into Aspen or to get to any of the nearby ski hills. I would stay here again.

This place was a great value! We stayed weekdays so it was quiet and it’s located right in a central area to catch the complimentary buses to all four mountains. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Aspen and there are plenty of eateries nearby.
The room was a great size and had a cabin theme to it.
It also came with a welcome kit upon arrival and grab and go complimentary hot breakfast items in the mornings.
Tracy and David at the front desk were awesome!!!
My only small complaint is the heater makes a cracking sound throughout the night and it’s behind the bed so it’s a bit loud. Other than that me and my boyfriend were very happy with our stay!

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to rate your stay at The Annabelle Inn. We are pleased that you had such a positive experience. We appreciate your comments RE the Grab and Go breakfast. It is a challenging time in the hospitality industry because of Covid protocols, and we are doing our best to provide something for our guests. In normal times, we have a pretty sumptuous continental style breakfast buffet, and hope we can get back to that in the future. Some of our heat sources do emit sound as the radiators fill with hot water, and for that we do apologize. It's an issue we are attempting to rectify...though challenging in an older building! We appreciate your business and hope we have a chance to serve you again at The Annabelle Inn on your next trip to Aspen. Best, David, Front Desk

When I made reservation they said the rooms facing street could be noisy but I thought it can’t be that bad. It was! Luckily they had another room for me to move to for the remainder of my stay. In my second room on the third floor the corner window faced main and you could hear traffic but not as bad. Also the two rooms I stayed in did not have a side table (from the pictures it looks like the other rooms have them). Had to put phone, drinks etc on floor…weird. But, with that said, it was a great place. SUPER friendly staff, comfy bed, great water pressure, bus stop right on the corner for Maroon Bells visit, just blocks from downtown, free parking and breakfast. One more note, if you park on street there is one spot on the corner you can’t park and it’s not clearly defined. Ask which one it is because I got a $50 ticket :(

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to rate your recent stay at The Annabelle Inn. We appreciate feedback of all kinds and we have taken note of your comments regarding our furnishings. We always try to tweak and improve things around here, and will certainly assess the situation you mentioned in your second room. We're glad we were able to move you from the Standard category ground floor room you originally reserved. It is true that you have to pay attention to the numerous parking signs around the Inn. We are at the start of the west-end residential zone, and as you likely noticed, the lane directly in front of the hotel becomes a bus transit lane in the afternoon. It is unfortunate you got a ticket. I know how annoying that is, as I myself got one two weeks ago for failing to move my car before the witching hour! At any rate...we are grateful for your business. We hope we have the chance to serve you on your next trip to Aspen. Best, David Front Desk
