The Gant hotel garners praise from many guests for its friendly staff, reliable shuttle service, and overall cleanliness, featuring well-maintained properties and spacious condos. While most find the hotel's rates reasonable given its luxury amenities, including hot tubs and pools, a few have noted financial inconveniences regarding cancellations. Although the rooms are generally appreciated for their size and facilities, some visitors have pointed out dated decor. The serene atmosphere, underscored by stunning Ajax mountain views and private patios, alongside the hotel's prime location close to town attractions, consistently receives positive remarks.

If you can get up an walk 0.25 miles into town that then is the place for you! Or if it’s rainy or you just don’t want to walk, just ask the front desk to drop you off using the convenient shuttle bus into town.

We stayed here as our first time family trip to Aspen. It was a wonderful place, The Gant is not ultra Luxurious nor swanky, but not a hell hole either. The rooms are large, have spacious floorplans and very comfortable linens and beds. Ours had a large family room and dining room too.

The staff is experienced for anything and can help first timers like us navigate Aspen and plan our activities like hiking on the Ute Trail right behind he Gant Hotel.

The staff did a great job of cleaning and sanitizing and even the pool felt fine to jump into. The Giant’s pizza restaurant has some of the best pizza in Aspen, better than NYC pizza and White House Tavern.

Enjoyed it so much! 5/5 stars!

Tucked into a quiet corner of Aspen, The Gant is a relaxing retreat within walking distance of downtown. We stayed in a 3bd/3ba premier unit that was clean, comfortable, and beautifully update with tasteful finishes and artwork. We loved relaxing on the balcony and by the wood burning fireplace in the evenings. What truly makes the Gant special is the staff—they are amazing! They upgraded our room at no fee and were attentive and responsive throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there is no covered parking on the property for guests but valet and shuttle services (The Gant Van) are both available. We have found our home away from home in Aspen and look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and had a fantastic experience. The property is very classic Aspen and the 2 bedroom condo unit we stayed in was well appointed and filled with thoughtful details. The location is great--it's tucked away a bit from the core of Aspen (if you really want to be in the middle of the action, I'd recommend the Little Nell or the W), which gave us access to everything but still felt private and secluded. Everyone who we interacted with on the hotel's staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Gant. The first time was fantastic. The second time we paid around $800/night and had a room that was decorated very similar to a Starbucks in furniture quality. We asked to be moved, got a lot of heartache from the front desk and finally changed to a place that was a little better with a not so $800/night view of the parking lot. I decided to give it one more try. I called weeks in advance and asked for a specific room. When I arrived, I was told "the hotel was sold out" - the place looked empty - by an emotionless front desk clerk. I walked in the room and it smelled like sewage. I had to open the door to air it out. But opening the door I got to hear jack hammering in the pool area. For much of the trip I listened to jack hammering, teenagers screaming at night in the hot tub, leaf blowing, carpet cleaning and a host of other construction noise. Given my last experience at the Gant where asking for a room change was actually more difficult than just dealing with it - I decided not to bother. Also, the first day when I went to the hot tub it was great (until the jackhammering started again). The second day the jets didn't work on one and the other was not very warm.

I stayed in a room that had not been renovated. It was incredibly loud and so dark. They chose light bulbs that gave off the least amount of light available and there was no natural light given that it was on the ground floor. You also had to keep the blinds closed people because were constantly passing by.

If you are at all sensitive to noise.... You can hear EVERYTHING above you or in the next rooms. Walking, talking...all the noise. I paid $750 to stay over 4th of July weekend and regret not booking somewhere else- even if I had to pay more - because it was not worth a penny of this. I was very disappointed.

An alarm went off at 6am from some room that was not occupied (when I had asked to moved room, I was told there were no other options).

The positive: the rooms are big and for families staying longer than a few days, the kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need.

I don't usually write reviews but this was such a bad experience I hope it's helpful for anyone who is already booked so you can ask questions about your room location.

Tl;dr - Don't stay here.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with honest and candid feedback about your room. We are disappointed to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Any time we have the opportunity to show our guests additional options, we absolutely will do so. It is our goal to ensure that each condo matches the expectations of all our guests. Unfortunately due to the sold-out holiday weekend, we were unable to show any additional options in this instance. It is for this reason we sincerely apologize that it led to a disappointing experience for you. Thank you again for sharing your comments and we wish you all the best.

This was our 2nd stay at The Gant. We were in G105, a lovely unit, for 6 nights. We liked the unit's location because we were close to the pool. Twice people were in the Hot Tub late at night making noise. The first night a resident quickly put an end to the partying. The second event was on 9/17 and it went on for over 45 minutes, starting at 1:30am. Not only were the guests LOUD, they were coming in and out of the gate next to our unit and banging the gate LOUDLY. We called the Front Desk TWICE and no one came to stop the noise. We were told that Security was helping a guest who was locked out of their room which was a priority. Why wasn't the sleep of the 5 family members in G105, not to mention all the units facing the pool & hot tub area (except for those in G103 who were the guests in the hot tub) a priority? Why hasn't The Gant figured out a way to stop drunk, obnoxious guests from opening the Hot Tub in the wee hours of the night? A bike lock on the frame might be a start! As lovely as The Gant is, one reason to book a hotel is to have a place to sleep. I am not a good sleeper to begin with and to have that disruption was very detrimental to my ability to return to sleep. I don't count 9/17 into 9/18 a night's sleep. Why did the Security not show up? How long does it take to open a room? This was not The Gant's best moment and certainly they can do better! To top it off, as we were checking out the next morning the person at the Front Desk was truly unsympathetic! This was a great vacation, we really found The Gant's setup to be very suitable for our needs as a family but we will certainly think twice before booking there because The Gant doesn't have a handle on the typical Aspen partying crowd.

We stayed for a one week ski vacation at The Gant and could not be more pleased with our experience. The location is perfect - tucked away so you feel like you have some privacy but just a couple blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown Aspen. They run shuttles to/from airport and around town on demand - very convenient. We got the "Deluxe" accommodations which is the mid-level room type. This was more than adequate: full kitchen with granite, steam shower with rain heads, whirlpool bath, tons of lighting options, woodburning fireplace, recent makeover in the baths, kitchen and flooring, several private patios, high quality mattresses, you get the picture. Also, they have daily housekeeping. The heated outdoor pools and hot tubs were really nice and well maintained. Staff was superb: everyone had a great attitude and was very helpful, they quickly addressed any questions or concerns. It's not cheap (this is Aspen after all) but I thought still represented a good value for the dollar. This is a very well run operation. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Gant is a clean quiet resort away from the town's noise but close enough to walk anywhere. The staff is accommodating and the daily housekeeping and in-unit laundry facility in the premium unit was a big plus. We will be staying again.

The Gant is celebrating their 50th year and they continue to up their game. Location is key and we park and forget our car as soon as we arrive. We can walk anywhere in town or take an on demand Gant van as far as the Music Tent or the airport. In winter the Silver Queen gondola at Ajax is less than a 5 minute walk.

New food and beverage manager Kristen has done a great job elevating the experience at on site restaurant Pepperjack’s by extending their hours and offering a more extensive menu. Plus a special Happy Hour menu with different daily offerings. You will be hard pressed to find a more affordable meal in town without sacrificing quality or ambiance.

Marty the long term concierge is a great asset and is very helpful with dining and/or activity ideas.

You can certainly pay more for a room in Aspen but you will feel like you’re in a hotel and not a beautiful condo that feels like your own in a stunning naturally environment nestled at the base of Aspen mountain.

Excellent customer service. Shuttle to town and to the airport was excellent, always on time and accommodating. Stayed in a 2bdrm / 2bath unit, daily housekeeping, comfortable beds, linens and towels. Fully equipped kitchen with daily replenishment of coffee. Plenty of firewood for those winter nights, two very accommodating hot tubs with changing rooms and showers.

Very spacious accommodations and comfortable furniture. Front desk personnel were very helpful and professional.

Would definitely stay here again.

Yes, the pools are open whenever the hotel is open. The hotel does close the entire property for seasonal maintenance from mid April - mid May and mid October - mid November. If the hotel is open and accepting bookings, the pool will be available.
