This place is straight out of the 1970's. We walked in and it totally stunk. It's on the main drag and very noisy. Place needs some TLC. Overgrown foliage and dirty outside. The bed was comfy, Starbucks coffee in room. Big tv. Easy to walk to shops. Parking downtown was difficult to find. People out giving tickets if you don't prepay and put on your dashboard. Expensive for what you get. 1st photo = towel,2nd = fireplace, 3rd bathroom.
The Molly Gibson could have made our visit a repeat by just making a few basic changes. Beds were very uncomfortable and just need replacing due to sagging. The employees that worked at the front desk were not friendly and seemed annoyed to help you. The toilet paper holder was broken and would not hold the paper. After dinner we returned to our room and looked for ice. No staff to help. We found a bucket in the lobby that was labeled for ice however it had garbage in it. The location is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping this could be an amazing lodge with just a few basic changes. We won't be back and don't recommend this lodge to anyone until the Molly Gibson makes upgrades to service and new beds.
This is in a great location in Aspen. Very close to downtown and you can easily walk to restaurants etc. The man at reception was very nice and helpful and the swimming pool and outdoor areas were great. Unfortunately the rooms have very thin walls and though i know it is not the hotels fault as in who our neighbors are we had extremely loud ones on both sides of us keeping us awake till past 11.30 . Both rooms also had dogs who were barking. Our room had carpet and i am not a fan of lodges that allow pets but have carpet. Also very hot in the room as the air conditioning is in the bathroom and very very loud. We would not stay here again
We stayed 2 nights mid week. We booked through their reservation person who I liked really well by her can do enthusiastic attitude. We arrived around 1:30 pm for a 4 pm check in time-we don’t try this often-and Jason/Brandon at the front desk ran with it without the slightest hesitation and we were in our room in 20 minutes which allowed the housekeeper time to finish. We liked the room-clean, 2 chairs and small table, queen bed(bed good) and tub/shower. They have hot tubs(2) and heated pool which all appeared well maintained. We’d stay here again.
It was an older place but real cozy. Not fancy but comfortable. Good price for the money. Parking was difficult, but it is all over town. They have outgrown their town. It was a great location so you could walk to downtown to eat or shop and not have to deal with parking. The swimming poo, was heated and beautiful water.
