We were booking a last minute trip to Aspen and decided to give Hearthstone House a try. We always require an outdoor hot tub and convenience to Aspen restaurants, both were a match. What made the property great was the customer service...Shannon, Scott and Susan went out of their way to meet your needs and ensure everything was provided during Covid. Normally they have a wine and cheese hour, with Covid they were willing to deliver both to your room. The morning breakfast had multiple items and all packaged separately and sanitized. The hot tub was hot as desired and allowed for six people with distancing. The rooms may be a bit dated, but they had charm and were well laid out. Highly recommend to check it out for your next Aspen stay.

Best affordable place to stay in Aspen
This place caters to mountain visitors. The staff can hook you up with a concierge to book any type of adventure. They know all the mountains and backwoods. They ski. They bike. They hike. They know the good restaurants and bars and places to catch good music. It’s not a luxury hotel; you can walk in (clean!) sock feet to eat breakfast upstairs in the dining room by the fireplace. Mini fridge for keeping leftovers. Hot shower with good water pressure. Interesting architecture. Very close walking distance to everything in downtown Aspen.
The Hearthstone House is a great place to stay in Aspen. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is amazing; so close to downtown and all of the shops and restuarants as well as the skiing. The hotel itself is beautiful with comfortable sitting areas and a cozy feel throughout. This was our first trip to Aspen and this place was so welcoming and such a value that we plan to stay here on every trip back!

My husband and I have been staying at Hearthstone House every autumn for the last 10 years and it never gets old. The space is so cute, everyone is super friendly, and the breakfast omelets are seriously delicious. The location is literally perfect, in walking distance to hiking, biking, restaurants, and shopping. The complimentary bikes, wine and cheese apres, and hot tub are icing on the cake. All around always such a lovely experience at Hearthstone!

We had a large group in town for a wedding. The staff was amazing to work with. They were helpful, efficient, knowledgeable...Can't say enough. The house worked great for our family. There were gathering places inside and out. The breakfast was great, as was the wine and cheese happy hour. Perfect location. Walking distance from everything in town. Special shout out to Suzanne. Thanks for everything. You made our stay extra special.

Third time here, we get one of the king bed rooms. The rooms are spacious, nice, and the hotel is very accessible. The staff, Shannon and Suzanne at front desk, are super nice and helpful, and Karen cooks breakfast that is amazing! They like to get to know their guests and will visit with you if they can. Two blocks up and two blocks over to bus terminal - very easy!

We had a bad experience with Airbnb and ended up needing to find a hotel last minute. The Hearthstone House came to the rescue and made our weekend that much better. Thank you Shannon for making us feel so welcome and opening "your home" to us.

My husband and I have just had our second stay at the Hearthstone House in October. Our first visit was during ski season last year. We love the location and the B&B feel. The staff is great...kudos to Shannon for always helping and Tyler for cooking great breakfasts! The rooms are clean...we seemed to have more room in October than during ski season with all our winter clothes and gear. However they will store your skis/poles at night. The communal areas are comfortable. Always many newspapers available. They serve a lovely wine and cheese get together in the early evening. Very nice in winter sitting by the roaring fire. It's a nice way to chat with the other guests. There is a hot tub and bikes to rent seasonally. The location is super....minutes away on foot to many things of interest. Shuttle to mountain is a block away. We look forward to our next visit in March 2019!…

Hearthstone House is truly that, a Frank Lloyd Wright-esque home turned hotel. In all honesty, it had a b&b feel to me. The space is quite nice and the hot tub and bathrobes are nice features. The rooms leave a little to be desired as they are pretty small and very simple. That said, the breakfast and wine and cheese happy hour make up for it. It was such a great way to meet some interesting people! Have I mentioned the location? It’s perfectly situated with easy access to the town, shops, restaurants and the gondola. What is lacking in room design is definitely made up for in its unique and inviting style.

This little quaint hotel is in a great location, just a couple blocks from the area bars, restaurants, and shopping. The room was clean and in good shape. The hotels lounge and breakfast areas were nice. And the hot tub was perfect after a long day of cycling.
