Great place. Friendly and helpful staff. Campus style accommodation so spread out nicely. Close to trails. Rooms very good. Close to town but just far enough away to not be caught up in the bustle. Wake up views to die for. Restaurant and bar very good also. Price is definitely worth it.

Stayed there for one day in December. Outdated decor, worn-out look. The resort is in main need of a major renovation. It is not in close proximity to the center of the city and you will either need a car or use their shuttle service that runs every 30 min. This resort was built as a gateway for CEOs 50 years ago. Although it provides extensive grounds one can only appreciate it during summer or fall. During winter there is not much to do in the resort itself. Personel is young, and enthusiastic but not well trained. In many cases, they had to defer to a manager on duty. For the price paid ($1000/night), there are much better options in the Aspen itself.

My favorite part of my stay was Johno, and EJ who were bartenders in the bar/restaurant. They were a lot of fun and I enjoyed my time with them. In fact my niece and EJ became friends as a result of this visit.

Amazing experience in their new rooms, hotel staff was knowledgeable and friendly during our stay for x-games. Was very easy to get a ride on the shuttle into town, even during a very busy (xgames) peak weekend.

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights. Room was nice, but not luxurious like you'd expect for Aspen. The biggest problem is when we arrived the rooms heat was blasting, like over 80 degrees. I turned off the thermostat and had to open windows (22 degrees outside) Room took forever to cool down, like 2+ days. We didn't bring summer clothes to wear inside so we roasted. The rooms definitely need a refresh! HOusekeeping only comes every 3rd day, which is ridiculous. They charge a resort fee of $30 a day, but in the snow and rain, it's hard to do anything resorty. We went to breakfast one morning, unfortunately, we went at like 9:30am, the food was old and stale. Server was rarely on the floor so I had to serve myself coffee and water. The only thing edible was the fruit. It is an okay place to stay, I felt safe there, but didn't think it was a "resort" at all.

We splurged on a more expensive room (600 per night) because it advertised a mountain view and the hotel looked nice. The hotel was more like a dorm and the view straight on was a parking lot. We thought it was just aspen prices but we found much better rates and facilities elsewhere, unfortunately they wouldn't let us check out early after we found bugs next to our pillows and the old mini fridge kept us up all night. Expect to not find parking if you happen to be staying there on a night when they host a party. I could hear the music loud enough to sing along past 10:30pm when we had an early flight the next morning. Management could care less.
