The reservation system at this resort is terribly broken both technically - the website reservation system doesn’t work - and from a customer service perspective. Since the online system does not work, I contacted the property by phone. The reservation person was not in until 9 am. (I guess there’s only one person in the whole company who can check availability.) Rather than take my name and have the person call ME back, the customer service associate asked me to call him/her back. This was the second time I tried to discuss a reservation matter with this resort and both times contacting, booking, and resolving outstanding issues was impossible. Literally. Even if you get in touch with someone, they cannot help you and insist they will call back, only to NEVER call back. There’s no follow up, no accountability, no effort to engage or retain customers. The associates do not care at all about your experience or impression of this resort. There must be other places in Aspen that are concerned about brand??

I bet you're going crazy trying to figure out which reviews to believe. Some claim the rooms are "large and great", and other say they are rundown and dorm-like. Some claim the staff is friendly, others claim they're rude and cold. I will try to clarify this, so you have an idea of what you'll be getting there. The pictures on Aspen Meadows' website make the rooms look beautiful, rustic, and with a view of picturesque scenery. That's what I expected when I booked it. That's not what I got. You actually arrive on a weird campus which will remind you of your college days. The parking will be really confusing. You'll check in, get your key, park in a garage, and drag your stuff to the room. You'll be shocked to see that you're entering what looks like an apartment complex from the outside, and a college dorm from the inside. Granted, the rooms are fairly large (I wasn't so lucky in actual college), but the place definitely has a college campus feel to it, right down to the subterranean coin-op laundry room. I seriously felt like someone rolled the clock back 30 years, and I was back in college. The rooms are not air conditioned. There is a sign on the wall stating that you don't need A/C in Aspen. That's false. Often you do in the summer. Someone mentioned the phones not working. I found the same issue. These are weirdly complex VOIP phones, which for me failed to have a dial tone. Was it all bad? No. I found the staff to be mostly nice and accommodating. The room was large, which was nice for my family of 4. I didn't find the place rundown -- just kinda minimalist and dorm-like. Several hiking and biking trails surround the campus, and it's about a mile from town, which seems to be the perfect distance. They have tennis courts, though I'm not sure if you can borrow rackets and balls. Supposedly a renovation with A/C is on the way. That will help. In the meantime, as long as you're not paying really high prices to stay here, it's not a bad choice. Just know what to expect. For those complaining about the lack of "COVID safety", get over it. COVID doesn't transmit on surfaces anyway, and cloth masks don't do much. The lack of theater-like COVID safety protocols was actually refreshing, even during the beginning of Delta when I traveled there.

Rooms were quite big, the resort has everything you need. Great food, great service. Very peaceful. The cleaning service actually made our beds when we left in the AM and by 2P they were made. Staff was friendly.

The place has a great and different feel. My only complaint is, there is no service. No room service, no one to help you with bags, and this is a huge property, you can not drive your car to your bedroom building. So you have to push or pull your luggage.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your comments. I was glad to hear the rooms worked well for you. We do have staff that are able to drive you into town on our shuttle and also able to assist with your luggage from the garage with our hotel golf carts. I sincerely apologize that this was not extended to you properly at check in and know it assists our guests who have multiple luggage. We hope to see you again soon and thank you again for staying with us. Best regards, David Brown General Manager

Clean, spacious room, comfortable king size bed. Nice location about 1 mile outside of town. Convenient shuttle service to/from town as well as airport transportation. Management, reception staff, cleaning staff, and drivers - all very friendly, helpful, and professional. Overall complex could benefit from some upgrading. Hot tub and swimming pool are much appreciated. Health club facilities are sufficient when resort is only partially occupied; when resort is near/at capacity, the health club facilities are likely to be quite crowded. Transportation vans need exterior racks to carry skis.

Close to the slops, great food, easy shuttles. Nicely isolated from town. Great views of the mountains from the rooms. Had a 2 bedroom and it had a very large living room. Lots of space for 4 people. 5 minutes from Aspen airport with a shuttle from the resort.

Lovely hotel setting…as if in a nature preserve on the outskirts of Aspen core..peaceful and tranquil. Wonderful service and congenial staff. The rooms are super spacious and use of windows allows for plenty of natural light. One small issue are the thin walls of the buildings which force one to hear conversations of neighbors and footsteps. The property represents a great value for the money for a stay in Aspen.

Change the name to Aspen Last Resort. Not a huge fan. The pictures make it seem much nicer than it is. Although comfortable new beds and clean overall. Very friendly staff, the rest is sub-par. Motel Vibe

Overall really liked this place. Walls are a bit thin but the size of the rooms, microwave, fridge, coffee, and double vanity more than made up for it. Fitness center, pool and hot tub are really great. Restaurant was excellent.
