First I will say that the staff here is great. Everyone super friendly. Also, this review refers only to cabin #25. We took a trip last minute to do some mountain biking and get a break from Covid. Got the last cabin available which was way too big for our needs so they gave us a great discount. We expected funky rustic-ness but this was over the top. The resort looked nice enough upon check in. Once we got into our cabin, a sewer smell hit us pretty hard. We assumed the place had been closed up for a while so did our best to air it out. The smell kept coming back. The place was not very clean. We covered the upholstered furniture. The dishes were not clean, washed everything prior to using. Something got into our food on the kitchen counter in the middle of the night. And the cobwebs are significant entire be a fire hazard. I think the river front cabins may be nice. But do not stay in 25!!! The restaurant is ok, servers are awesome. On the whole, even at a discount wouldn’t stay here again. …
Harold and team always take great care of us. This time we had the fried chicken which was fantastic. We are also big lovers of the Huevos. Best spot for weekend breakfast down by the river. Can’t wait to get back there.
The best homemade food I’ve had in Colorado. 10/10 recommend stopping here on your way through Almont! The rueben is like no other and the mint in my Moscow mule really topped dinner off!! Not to mention Ashley delivered the best service!
My wife and I eat at the Almont Resort (dinner, and breakfast) and recommend it highly. It is our "go to" place when friends come to visit. We have NEVER been disappointed by either the food or the service.
We stayed for 3 nights in cabin 12. The cabins are basic and they don't have much space either in the bedrooms or storage in the kitchen area of the living room. The location is great, just by the river.
