We stayed here for 3 nights to fish with our club- The fishing was off due to the full moon and water conditions. We could see tons of fish and lots of big brutes. We stopped at 3 fly shops that told us they have the best water. They have spent a ton stream improvements. The cabins a very rustic... More

We stayed at Harmels for three nights in late August. This is a decent enough place with cabins and activities, but it is far from being a resort. In terms of the accommodations, the cabins are dated and very basic. The kitchen was very minimal (no microwave but a small vintage frig, electric stove top, oven and sink) with well... More

Overall the people and staff where very nice... The outdoor patio area by the saloon is a nice place to hangout. The food we ordered for dinner and breakfast was very good. The cabins really need some basic things to help make the stay more enjoyable. The beds are terrible... Pillows a brick.... The cabins just need some love and... More

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I called to ask for a receipt from our stay and got yelled at by the owner because I was wasting his time. He claimed he doesn't have a scanner and that he needs to mail the receipt to me. He continued yelling and then hung up on me. This review... More

While most guests seem to be here for the world-class fishing and trail rides, I took advantage of the availability of horseback riding lessons. After discussing my riding history with the capable and friendly staff at the stable, I booked two private intermediate lessons.(There's a daily lesson/skills assessment at 1:45 p.m. if you are only interested in trail riding, but... We spent 2 nights at Harmel's ranch resort, the week after they opened for the season. We didn't go there for the fishing, but because they are pet friendly and not far from the Keebler Pass area where we were spending our days exploring. The 'off-season' rates were very reasonable and there were only a couple of other families visiting... More

I took my daughters (11 and 14) for a three hour trail ride and Kate was a wonderful guide. It was a real delight to ride the horses through forrest and around the Gunnison National Forrest. (It was only the four of us on the ride!) They do offer beginner rides, but IF you know how to ride horses, I... More

My sisters and I stayed 3 nights in this place 'off the main road'. Saw signs for other ranches near by didn't explore any further. Depending on what your family needs 'this place will do'. They can assist you to have various experiences like trail rides, or fishing lessons (catch and release only)... line up a white-water raft experience or... More

Nice clean cozy cabin on the river. Fun to walk our the door and fish in your "front yard". Filling and fine buffet breakfast that you can eat on the deck overlooking the river,( that is if you don't mind sharing the view with the humming birds.) Staff takes care to see you are happy and have what you want.... More

we did not stay at the resort, but finding the restaurant on a friday evening when camping in the area was a real treat. it is in back with a patio right on the water and truly pleasant. Excellent soup and salad bar, (try the Hungarian mushroom soup), and decent menu with choices for vegetarian - setting can't be beat,... More
