We just got back from 4 nights in the Bear Room. We could lie in bed and look out at the mountains. The breakfasts beat any other place we've been to! Ernie and Sandy welcomed us into their home and we were able to enjoy all the comforts of home without any of the hassles. We took trips to Hoosier Pass (6 miles away and at elevation 11,542 ft), Fairplay (interesting history and good restaurants), Breckenridge (free gondola after $10.00 parking fee or free parking after 3:00 pm), and Frisco (with a fascinating indoor and outdoor museum). There was lots more to do, but we opted to just stay in one day to read and chat. This is real luxury combined with 100% friendliness from our hosts, and a breakfast that was yummy but could last all day (and sometimes did). They even have

We came up for a quick getaway. Mountain Comfort is not only beautiful but WELCOMING! You instantly feel like family when you walk through the door. Our room was cozy and comfortable ( the wilderness room). We went out for pizza and came back to homemade dessert and wonderful conversation with Sandy. A morning soak in our big jacuzzi tub and then Breakfast..It was delicious to include Heart shaped pancakes!!! You are not a guest at Ernie and Sandy's.. you are Family!! Definitely on our " Let's go back" list.Thank you for making our stay wonderful!

Beautiful B&B. We stayed 5 nights and Ernie and Sandy were the most gracious hosts, felt like family by the end of our stay. Amazing breakfasts and views to die for. Each room is theme decorated and very clean.

We were able to book 2 weekend nights on 1 day notice when campground flooding out of state forced us to quickly revise our plans. Ernie and Sandy are very personable and accommodating, and made sure all of our needs were met. They even provided us with breakfast to go when we had to depart very early on the 2nd morning. Plenty of board games, snacks/beverages, and conversation were available. Each room is uniquely theme-decorated (we were in the wolf room) and has its own gas fireplace, bathroom, Jacuzzi tub/shower. I think there was a communal refrigerator in the shared living room. Would definitely stay here again. Note: it is at ~10,000 ft (~3000 m) altitude (so thin air), and very rural, but within a few minute drive from the towns of Fairplay and (tiny) Alma, which

We stayed for 2 nights at the Mountain Comfort B&B and loved it. The room was clean and homey. The view out the large windows is spectacular. The entire cabin is beautifully decorated, inviting and relaxing. Hot tub available and Jacuzzi tubs in most rooms. Ernie and Sandy are great hosts. They made us feel right at home and just like part of their family. They serve a delicious breakfast that has a nice variety to please anyone. Very generous and gracious hosts. We recommend it! Note: This is at a very high elevation and our young son who has oxygen issues needed oxygen the entire time we were in the mountains. We did not get to go out as much as we planned because of this, but we were ok with that because the cabin was so welcoming and a good place to just hang out and
