This was such a beautiful place to stay with gorgeous mountain views. It made the perfect setting for our wedding, on the gazebo with the mountains in the background. Ernie and Sandy were very sweet and hospitable, we felt so at home. Our room was so comfortable, with a nice jacuzzi and even our own fireplace to enjoy. Breakfasts each day were amazing as well. We will definitely return and can’t wait for our next visit!

We had such a great stay, owners are very down home people and friendly. Can ask any question and communication is quick even if they aren't on site, you can text them. We stayed in the Eagle's nest which had the best views, for 3 nights. We had booked 2 nights but I couldn't bear to leave. Too beautiful and relaxing. We had spent 2 weeks helping our daughter fix up her house and we needed time away. It was so refreshing. From the daily baths in the huge jacuzzi or sitting by the fireplace reading a book, the place just oozed relaxation. Anything you could imagine you might need was there. Slippers, robes, bath salts.....coffee, teas, chocolates, even bottled water for hiking. Our bedroom was a log poster bed with a gas fireplace. Easy to use, just turn the nob and you set how long you wanted it to run. We were never cold in the lodge but enjoyed it after getting out of the tub in our robes or from hiking. We stayed during Covid-19 restrictions so didn't get the breakfast but they had a refrigerator and microwave for us to use so we brought our own food in. Did a lot of hiking and sightseeing, I just can't wait to get back there again. I left refreshed. Coming from Florida this sure was a wonderful change of pace.

We just got back from 4 nights in the Bear Room. We could lie in bed and look out at the mountains. The breakfasts beat any other place we've been to! Ernie and Sandy welcomed us into their home and we were able to enjoy all the comforts of home without any of the hassles. We took trips to Hoosier Pass (6 miles away and at elevation 11,542 ft), Fairplay (interesting history and good restaurants), Breckenridge (free gondola after $10.00 parking fee or free parking after 3:00 pm), and Frisco (with a fascinating indoor and outdoor museum). There was lots more to do, but we opted to just stay in one day to read and chat. This is real luxury combined with 100% friendliness from our hosts, and a breakfast that was yummy but could last all day (and sometimes did). They even have free charging for electric vehicles if you stay overnight, including two specifically for Teslas. Ernie and Sandy are very interesting to chat to. We just ran out of time after four days, so we need to go back some time (soon),. We loved it!

We came up for a quick getaway. Mountain Comfort is not only beautiful but WELCOMING! You instantly feel like family when you walk through the door. Our room was cozy and comfortable ( the wilderness room). We went out for pizza and came back to homemade dessert and wonderful conversation with Sandy. A morning soak in our big jacuzzi tub and then Breakfast..It was delicious to include Heart shaped pancakes!!! You are not a guest at Ernie and Sandy's.. you are Family!! Definitely on our " Let's go back" list.Thank you for making our stay wonderful!
