We were passing through and this park was what was available. Was all gravel and what grass they had was filled with rabbit poop. Not the park's fault and they told us about it. If you have dogs just watch out! They cook pizzas if you are hungry. We did not try it

No problems, stayed over night. Wifi worked well, kids had a good time. Went to the Sand Dunes about 30 minutes away. Zapata Falls was really cool. Make sure to wear shoes that you can wear in the stream. Water is cold and rocks hurt your feet with no shoes

My kids love to stay at KOA campgrounds because there are so many things for them to do. They were not disappointed here. They have bikes to rent and a pool, both of which my kids enjoyed. We were escorted to our campsite by one of the camp hosts, he even showed us the easiest way to pull in. There... More

We stayed here after sandboarding at the Great Sand Dunes and it wasn't too far from there, which was nice. The bathrooms were OK, not necessarily dirty but could have been cleaner. Our tent site was nice. Ample amount of room. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

This is the closest KOA to the Great Sand Dunes National Park which is the reason for our visit. The sites are good sized and most are well shaded. The set up is strange in that sites are designed for the front door of your camper faces the front door of your neighbors camper. That is great when traveling with... More

The campground is obviously older but it is maintained. We asked for a shaded spot but wasn't given one. I asked again when we arrived and I was given a smaller spot but it had shade. They were thinking my rig wouldn't fit. It was fine. Shade definitely welcome after many days of unseasonable extreme heat. Park has a small... More

When we arrived we were greeted kindly. We were taken to our site. We found that it was littered with rabbit droppings. We requested another site and were kindly accommodated. We found that the new site also had droppings. We tried to make the original site work and couldn't. Seeing some unoccupied gravel filled sites that were clean we requested... More

The best two features of this KOA are the current hosts and the location. The rest is fairly standard "KOA," which if reliability and extra trimmings is what you need makes this the right answer. Beware of mosquitos during the summer!

This was the closest campground to the Great Sand Dunes with availability so we gave it a try. Although in the distance, there is a beautiful view of the mountains and dunes. The staff is friendly and helpful (I especially liked that they deliver the firewood, which was a fair price at $5 a bundle and seemed to be seasoned.)... More

We've never camped at KOA before, so we were a little overwhelmed with the amenities, but it was a welcome surprise! The pool was great after a day at the dunes. Firewood and pizza delivered to the campsite, all you can eat pancake breakfast...the list goes on and on. It was definitely "resort style" camping. Pick your site wisely as... More
