Campground right next to a road, very loud early in the morning. Tent campground way too expensive ($45/night) and bathrooms were very dirty. Overall the whole campground is not recommendable, we didn't enjoy the stay and left very early in the morning...

We paid $8 for the sunset rate after 6pm to soak in the mineral springs after a long day in the car. The place was fine but could use some updates. They have a great resource with the mineral spring there and could really make the place something special. We soaked in the mineral pool and then swam in the... More

Please don't stay here. We are writing this review to share an impossible situation we experienced. I book our stay based on the beautiful pictures on the web page and the things the desk told me when I called for a reservation. Neither of those conveyed the reality. The camp sites are dirt. No grass. No trees. No shade. They... More

I've been going to the "resort" for the past several years -- even held a monthly "wellness package" for a while (monthly massages, etc). Over the past year or so I've seen this place slip into a severe decline. Dirty hot tubs (no one wants to soak where you find used condoms), "renovations" to the women's locker area that are... I booked this last minute upon our arrival in San luis Obisbo with my 3 kids. It was a great little find. We booked a cabin to stay in last minute when our amtrak train ran too late for us to drive the PCH. The cabin was wonderful! Fully stocked kitchen and linens on all beds and clean. I was... More

We arrived at the resort and while checking in there was a homeless couple that was asking if they could stay again because they had no other place to go. When we drove to our tenting location it was all dirt and rocks. We couldn't imagine how we were going to put up a tent on rocks. Then the homeless... More

The Avila Hot Springs "Resort" website promises "rustic, dry camping". True, if you consider camping in a dirt parking lot camping. And you are completely ok with the long term "camper" who stands on the porch of his cabin screaming at campers while he throws a beer can at your car. They get a point for returning our money without... More

We had a good time & staff was very friendly and helpful. But I do have one complaint, they lock the restrooms to early & don't open them until 8am. They do have a portable restroom but it's for the whole campsite.

This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. My daughter and I went here to soak after a 1/2 marathon we just did that morning and when we walked in I was so disgusted in this place. They have a gem having a thermal hot springs, but the hot springs pool is like 10 x 10 and 1 1/2... More

Stayed here for the night on our way to Santa Barbra, loved the private hot spring on our room patio! It was very relaxing and the scenery was great! Breakfast was AMAZING! French toast with caramelized pecans and bananas! I've never had French toast so good that I didn't even need to put syrup on it!!!
