No elevator, but charming staircases. But some of them a bit a little scary as the floors all tilt to some degree due to the age of the hotel. I would recommend an additional banister rail to hang on to when negotiating the stairs. We had a lovely refurbished room with a huge marble shower. Very nicely located in the... More

conveniently located. Rooms are clean but you need to ask for face towel. Breakfast is bagels and coffee. Internet connectivity is non existent. Underwhelming. We missed direct views of the water. Noisy street but easy access to restaurants and bars. Room 201

We went to Catalina for our 25th wedding anniversary. Keep in mind that things on the island are expensive - not Hawaii expensive, but not cheap. The Glenmore was in our price range (averaging just under $200/night, and that's 2 midweek nights and Friday, when the rates jump up $50), centrally located in Avalon, and it offered rooms with king... Had a pleasant stay here @ Glenmore Plaza, from the moment we arrived everything went well. Our room @ the time we arrived wasnt ready but we could leave our bags & stuff in a room while we wait & walk around to get familiar with the place. We didnt wait that long & our room was ready, the room... More

Prime location. Decent room, good price. Thin walls, but comfortable bed. Good front desk service, very friendly. My daughter and friend stayed here for her first vacation without parents. Provided a basic continental breakfast. Ask for AAA discount.

We came to Catalina Island on a whim, purchased hotel reservations on the ferry to the island. We were unsure what to expect, but was great. Three scuba divers, with lots of gear, and thanks to Corey, and him accommodating our gear we were able to come and go as we please. Thank you!

I was pretty concerned about the amount of room and room was going to have. Went with the family, 2 adults and 2 children. I'm not sure if we got an upgrade or not but ended up in the two bedroom suite. I don't think I've ever been that nicely surprised about a hotel room ever. I mean, it was... More

A group of us stayed here for 2 nights for a work summit. The staff was more than accommodating and super friendly. They were doing some work on the roof but the workers were really nice to the guests as well. The rooms were all a little different and comfy for the 2 nights we stayed. We would recommend this... I stayed here for the "Budweiser: Whatever, USA 2015". The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very nice. It was in a great central location to all the activities for "Whatever, USA". I am planning a trip to Catalina Island in June 2016 and will definitely stay here again.

Only us and one other guest at the hotel, picked up a great room with a view. The Jacuzzi bath tub was big enough for four. The room was very large with a refrigerator. The table and chairs were perfect for playing cards if desired. The bed was King size and comfortable. The hotel is a bit on the old... More
