The staff at the Inn were very friendly. The room was very comfortable and the roof top view of Avalon bay was fantastic. Just a few steps from the boardwalk, this inn is a great choice for a romantic getaway at a reasonable price.

Stayed in July 10. Small uncomfortable room. No chairs or antwhere else to sit except on the bed. Extremely noisy in early morning so don't plan to sleep in past 6am. Jacuzzi is a joke has probably been there since the dark ages. There are much better places to stay and not too much more costly, it is Avalon. We...

Due to the amount of negative reviews, we were expecting the worst, but Roger the inn keeper was very helpful and friendly. We had no problems checking in early. There are clear signs at the front desk, that they cannot keep luggage after check-out, which honestly is not a problem as you can walk 3 min, down to the landing...

Stayed in the mermaid room, was very sweet. Yes it was a tiny room but enough room for two. I came to Catalina to enjoy the island, not spend a great deal of time in a hotel room. Roger was very friendly and nice. I didn't even know there was a continental breakfast and I mean, again for the great...

We genuinely enjoy staying in B&B's for the extra bit of personalization they provide. But, this place did not impress us in the least - if there was a hotel chain (Best Western, Holiday Inn, you name it) in Avalon, it would have been a better option, even for the same price. The owner was late to let us in...

Fortunately Catalina Island is beautiful, which made up for the disgusting conditions of this hotel when we stayed there June 2-4. The staff was unfriendly, the room was even smaller than advertised, there were holes in the walls, the TV didn't work when we got there, my boyfriend had to play with the wires, there was no internet access and...

I found this place on line and booked the wicker roses room for under $100 (well $105 with taxes and everything), that included breakfast. When we got there he (Roger)upgraded us to room 8 (captain's quarters) because it was bigger & had a jacuzzi tub (he showed us the first room & while fine it was small). Check in was...

First of all, I booked this trip through AAA. The reservation form said the Inn would take a 10% down payment; they took $50, more than the 10%. Second, they charged our credit card BEFORE we arrived. When we asked about that, we were told, "it was an island thing." I don't know why, because there is a $50 cancellation...

My wife and I spent Aug 22-23, 2009 at this hotel. For $220 a night, there was poor housekeeping, no telephone in the room,a lite breakfast served on the rooftop of the hotel, which required a climb of 3 flights of narrow, steep stairs very typical of Victorian Houses. The refrigerator in the room needed defrosting before we could put...

We stayed in the Dolphin room, which was a big disappointment. The room was small, the bed was hard, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, there was no fixed shower head, only a hand held shower sprayer, there was no shower curtain so the water went on the floor, and the hot water was inconsistent, sometimes we had it, sometimes we...
