We stayed here for two nights and had no complaints. Our room had two queen size beds, and although the room wasn't very large, it was big enough...after all, we came to Catalina to see and do things, not to sit in the room. The bathroom had a well working toilet and shower, and there was a complimentary continental breakfast... More

We stayed here on the 4th of July. The room was clean and nice and the staff was helpful and pleasant. This is a very basic hotel, I'm not sure they have room service or anything like. Just a cute little spot for a reasonable rate. It's quiet overall besides the sounds of the wooden beds creaking as you and... More

Hotel is very charming and very quiet. The pillows were not very comfortable though and the complimentary toiletries were minimal. I thought it was super cool to get actual keys. The only weird thing that is noteworthy is the layout of the furniture as seen on the photos and there was an exposed pipe near the sink.

We had a very comfortable stay at Casa Mariquita Hotel. Seriously the best beds we've slept on besides at home!! Very pretty grounds. Continental breakfast included, several nice places to sit throughout the property, not your typical hotel. It's very lush and well taken care of. See photo. Lots of stairs, so it is definitely not wheelchair accessible (except for... More

The lady who assisted us at check in is AMAZING. She is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is only a few steps from the beach without the noise of the busy boardwalk. Will definitely stay here again.

The owner was really nice to accommodate us after a mistake that was made from Expedia. We had the penthouse (room at the top of the building) so the view was great and the patio from the bedroom was nice. Just like everything else in Catalina island it's walking distance from everything. Down the street you're by boutiques, restaurants and... More

The location of this hotel is relatively centrally located to many of the shops and restaurants that are near Cresent St.. The room was clean, but small and very dark. The hotel staff are very nice and they provide a decent breakfast (hard-boiled eggs, packaged oatmeal, bread (toast), bananas, danish, coffee and OJ). Our problem was was with our toilet.... More

We went to island to bike the back country. The hotel offered us the best room in the brand we were buying :) It had an ocean view. The hotel is simple and small. The room was clean and reasonably well appointed. Wifi, breakfast and a couple of nice terraces to enjoy the outside. They looked after our stuff before... More

The hotel is just about a block off the main street in Avalon and can be easily reached on foot from the ferry. Rooms are extremely small, clean but outdated with virtually no mobile phone or Internet connectivity. There is virtually no natural light as windows face courtyard. To be quiet honest: completely overpriced for what it is.

Their advertising claims this is one of the newest hotels on the island. Sure hard to tell from either the inside or outside. Bathroom was tiny and very dated. Bed was comfortable but almost filled the small room. It was a average place, but nothing at all exceptional. Pros: -Nice beds (for me). Good support and comfortable. -Clean Cons: -Noisy... More
