My wife really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariquita. We thought it was a really great deal for such a wonderful hotel. The location was very close to the Catalina Express and was next to everything. Casa Mariquita is next door to the new museum and across the street from the tour plaza. Our room (18) was clean and cozy....

Our family had a WONDERFUL stay at the Casa Mariquita Hotel. It's in a fantastic location that is minutes walk from the beach and the main Avalon plaza. Big spacious rooms, clean, well lit, and comfortable beds. The hotel is right next door to the art museum (which is conveniently a bus stop that can get you most anywhere on...

Researched this hotel on Trip Advisor and the reviews were spot on. The room was clean and comfortable. We booked the peek-a-boo queen and was able to view the hills and sea. The hotel is nicely tucked off the main drag. Will book again.

Nothing is far from anything here, but we realized quickly, you don't want to be on Crescent St, where the noise can interfere with your enjoyment. We were a few blocks back, just up from the museum. Ask for a room on an upper floor - you'll have to walk the steps, but it's quiet and most have some view....

Great location, right next to the newly built museum, which has lots of interesting interesting history about Catalina island. The hotel location is only 2 mins walk away from ocean front and downtown. As frequent travelers, it is a rare event to leave a negative review. However, out of respect for future potential travelers, we felt compelled to leave the following comments. Upon entering our room, we noticed the door was unlocked and left slightly open. Upon returning, after a great day exploring Catalina Island, we immediately noticed that our towels were draped...

Great hotel to stay: good customer service, great bed and even with pretty nice continental breakfast. Front desk staffs are locals who live on the island and know all the nice little things and what is happening on the island. They also gave me a lot of tips as where to eat. All in all, nicely run hotel.

Stayed here when on island for a wedding. The hotel was clean and was in a good location. It is great if u want to spend less money and still stay in a descent place close to town. It is up a small hill, so u may get a nice view. Drawbacks - room was small and lots of stairs...
