This is a multi-use B&B, with an area on the ground floor used as a tea-room, and an apparently thriving wedding business which uses the grounds. I got a call the day before we arrived asking us to not check in between 2 and 4:30 as a wedding would be going on. There was a wedding on both Saturday (ending... More

The mansion is great and the breakfast was quite plentiful and yummy. Be warned, this was not a breakfast for dieters! The best part however was meeting Alfred. He is a brew-master genius and a super enjoyable guy to meet and chat with. He was so much fun to visit with. Can't wait to go back and hear more stories.... More

My hubby and I were very happy with our outside room. The breakfasts were substantial, the staff showed us around the other rooms, and the location was just far enough from the main highway and central Auburn to be walkable without too much stress. The plumbing is a bit noisy, but it is an old house- they all have their... More

I was married here on 11/11/11. I started the process about a year and a half prior to my wedding date. I got to know Alfred and Peggy and their staff pretty well by the time my wedding came around. I chose not to go with the all inclusive as I am very type "A" and wanted to add all... More

The rooms and bathrooms are very old and need updating. The mattress was extremely hard and gave me a back ache. The walls desperately need to be repainted as there were a lot of dirt marks on the wall. There was mold on the shower curtains and in the bathtub drain. Everything looked tired and therefore unclean. I was disappointed... More

Sorry the place looked old to you. It is 127 years old. We have been fixing it up for 9 years. Unfortunately, it is an ongoing process. I apologize for the mattress. In your case, at a customer's previous request, the mattress you slept in was replaced from a soft one to a firm one. It is hard to fit... More

Pro: Attentive and friendly staff, problems quickly attended to, good water pressure in shower, great breakfast, easy parking. Con: Terrible mattress (uncomfortably hard, low quality), room was musty, couldn't open window, not many antiques in the room, very low water pressure in sink, noise from plumbing in other rooms, mold on shower curtain, wifi didn't work in room. The "garden... More

Hi! Sorry the Astro turf was not appealing to you. We are going green and support the environment. We serve tea in our dining room, so breakfast is at the new beautiful Irish pub we built to honor our best friend. When we serve lots of people, it is very hard to cook it all in the small mansion kitchen.... More

Stayed here once with my boyfriend just as a small get away. Such a cute place and they provide so much more then other places I have been. They even have salon brand shampoo and conditioner in the rooms to use in your stay so I dont have to bring my own. My cousin lives here so I helped put... More

Got married at the beginning of this month (March) and cannot think of a better location to have had whole affair take place than at the Power's Mansion Inn Wedding Center. Alfred Lee and his team REALLY know weddings inside and out. Planning the affair was was truly a collaborative effort of the best kind and Alfred & Co. were... More

My mom just got married this past weekend at the Power's Mansion Inn. They had a beautiful area outside with plenty of seating and either a gazebo or patio/waterfall area in which they could get married. Alfred Lee at the Power's Mansion was absolutely fabulous. He helped them through everything from the flowers, pictures, cake, reception set-up, reception food, reception... More

I had a great time at Power's Mansion! I love B&Bs and this one did not let me down. The mansion is victorian with a tea room operating in the dining room. The charming girl who checked us in also gave us a tour and told us about the home's history. All of the rooms are so different and the... More
