A lovely hotel with great amenities and very clean. The staff was pleasant. Price was great for our one night stay, wish we were here longer. I would definitely come again. Highly recommended. Local eateries are walkable.

I must say that I have an aversion to two-star hotels of which there are tons in this area. I live in the same county as this terrific hotel and stayed there recently while my home was being repaired. (We got false starts and had to return twice.) Two-star hotels would have saved me a chunk of money but they’re frightening and filthy. Though Covid has tainted every activity and as a result hotels don’t offer many normal niceties of late, this hotel still shined through and did so by being adequate and comfy. It’s situated in an Interesting area with all sorts of little things to check out. I felt very safe and the rooms were lovely and clean in a minimalist way. I stayed in three different rooms and was never disturbed by other guests or staff even at full occupancy. Parking was a cinch, rooms had sweet patios, and the bathrooms though simple, were comfortable and immaculate. My only negative is the beds. They had dead zones in them that were recessed likely by use and the the mattress pads and bottom sheets, poorly configured and inadequate. All beds must be flipped and turned. (I didn’t have the nerve to do it myself.) And, while I mentioned this to staff, I didn’t want to be overly critical and a nuisance.
In terms of staff, I had more contact with and help from Jose in the lobby. He was super professional, willing to help no matter, and kind. Danica helped me figure out that I wanted to stay there initially. She was simply delightful. The third employee I’d like to commend has a name I never caught. I can only identify her as having beautiful curly hair. She helped me with an urgency at 2:00 AM one night and she was darling and so incredibly helpful. Like the property, the employees were genuinely wonderful and decent. My last shoutout is to the manager who gave the property a very subtly serene and relaxed vibe. She seemed ridiculously young to be so good at her profession. And, the name of the hotel charmed and puzzled me! That’s perfectly ok.

The husband and I had a long weekend at the Agrarian and left with amazing memories! We were upgraded from a standard queen to a king suite with an in-room hot tub and it was luxurious! We used it every night and the hotel even provided bath salts. The bed was firm, not too hard or soft, and our room had a Keurig coffee maker and min fridge. The location was perfect. Step out the door and you're right where a bunch of restaurants and shops are, and a good starting point to explore Pismo beach and about a 15 minute drive to Luis Obispo.
Continental breakfast was decent with sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, muffins, toast, yogurt, assorted cereals, oatmeal, coffee, juice etc. I appreciated the COVID safety protocols at breakfast. You order your breakfast at a walk up table and hotel staff make the plate for you so not everyone is touching the food and serving utensils. I also observed hotel staff cleaning each table after it's vacated.
The front desk staff were all very friendly and greet you with a smile every time you leave or enter. Special shootout to Eric who made our stay go from pleasant to memorable. He provided amazing customer service with restaurant recommendations, amazing local experiences we weren't aware of, and in general making sure we were as comfortable as could be. His smiling face was contagious and he always made sure to ask if there was anything we needed. I felt like I could have stood at the front desk and just gabbed with him all day.
The only demerit to this hotel is that the tv in our room didn't work and we couldn't get it fixed for a couple days. Not Eric's fault. I think there was a mixup between another front desk attendant and the person who was supposed to fix our TV, but it was still a minor annoyance in the evenings when we wanted to sit back and relax.
Nevetheless, I wouldn't hesitate to come back and would recommend this place to others. Hope I see Eric again!

Stayed three nights in this hotel and loved everything about it. The rooms and the grounds and the common areas are all top-notch at this 18 month old property. The king bed was extremely comfortable though my personal preference is to have full-size pillows versus the smaller pillows.
There is a little walking trail along the Tally Ho Creek which is perfect if you bring your dogs like we did. The dog fees can be a little high so make sure you ask for a reduced rate if staying multiple nights. The front staff was very accommodating in setting this up for us in advance.
Location is everything with this property. Right next-door is the Mason bar restaurant which was absolutely phenomenal and we didn’t even get to eat inside due to Covid restrictions. Can’t wait to go back and dine inside. There are multiple other restaurants within walking distance and if you’re an early morning riser like we are, walk along the creek and you will encounter all the free ranging chickens and roosters which were fun to see.
You’re also a five minute drive from Pismo Pier and 10 minutes from the Edna Valley wineries. We did it all. If you want to go winetasting in Paso it was only about a 30 minute drive on the 101.
Highly highly recommend this property!!!

Knowing this is a BW Signature Collection with mostly excellent reviews, I had high expectations. I have stayed at many BW in several states and have enjoyed a comfortable stay and decent breakfast at most of them. Their breakfast is one of the worst I have ever seen. The hot breakfast comes out of microwave and then into a warmer-then served nearly cold. Coffee was bitter, no real creamer-poor quality. Front desk manager said, "people seem to enjoy it." I guess we'll eat nearly anything if we can pour enough hot sauce on it, especially if it's free. My appreciation for Mcdonalds is now deeply renewed. Otherwise, the beds were fairly new and comfortable. The room was usually quiet with a patio that faces the parking area. For a dog friendly motel, they neglected to provide any grass area and the local park is 3 blocks away. Wood floor had a sticky black film that was overdue for a deep cleaning. Never needed to wash my feet so many times. Town is quaint with plenty of good places to eat.

My wife and I stayed one night here during a two-day road trip to the Central Coast. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice and comfortable this hotel was. You can tell it's brand-new as soon as you walk into the lobby. The team member who checked us in was incredibly friendly and professional. Our room was surprisingly spacious with all-new furniture. The bed was super comfortable. Because the room is so spacious, the TV felt a bit small and far away on the wall, but that's not really a complaint. The bathroom was clean and comfortable to use.
The location is excellent. The hotel is nestled in "old town" Arroyo Grande, which has some cute restaurants and storefronts. It's about 15 minutes from SLO and less than an hour from Hearst Castle. Pismo Beach is just a few minutes away. For the price (we ended up paying $110, including taxes and fees, during ths MLK holiday weekend), we couldn't have been happier with our stay. This is a great hotel!

We frequently visit the "Central Coast" and have enjoyed staying in Arroyo Grande at the Agrarian due to its location to the downtown walking area. Restaurants and shopping are close by. This is one of the better Best Westerns we have stayed in throughout the years and miles we have traveled (across Canada and the US). It' has all the basic necessities and has always been very clean!

There was no microwave, refrigerator had no light or freezer, only sink was in bathroom. We stayed in 114 the bathroom was open 2 sinks and vanity, hot tub, shower and the toilet. If you wanted privacy your companion would have to sit outside the room. They had a sliding door that more than once I was not able to open. The tub did not have any grab bar causing to call my companion to make sure I did not fall after slipping once. My companion also slipped in the shower due to the floor being slippery. Not able to use computer with their internet service. I have hot spot on my phone so we used it. The breakfast was really ho-hum (rubbery eggs and lack of flavor). The yogurt machine was broken both days. I also covered the big eyes on the rooster painting looking at me while I rested on the bed.
The nice part was the hotel is clean and the front desk employees were very pleasant.

Check in was fast and friendly. There was ample free parking and the hotel shares property with a great restaurant (Mason Bar And Kitchen). We stayed 3 nights in room 110, which is on the ground floor facing the street – note: you will hear traffic from this room.
The room has a standard layout with a comfortable king bed, small desk and small refrigerator, as well as a Keurig coffee maker. There are several USB ports. Our room has a door opening to a small patio for fresh air and sitting outside.
The bath has a walk in shower – Beware: no grab bars and the floor can get slippery. Also worth noting is the bath mirror is LED backlit and excellent for makeup, shaving, etc. The shower is supplied with high-end Beekman bath products in pump form.
Another plus to the room is that there is no carpet – bath is ceramic tile and main floor is vinyl wood planks, which are important to allergy suffers.

We loved staying at this hotel. Our room was spotless! Having stayed with my 2 grown adult children I wish they had 2 queen beds in a room instead of 2 doubles. For a new hotel I'm not sure why they choose to have double beds instead of queens. Beds were super comfortable. The breakfast was hot and served by the hotel staff due to covid. Everyone enjoy the breakfast. I would highly recommed staying here!
