Traveling during these times is a bit stressful, but it is an important part of our family adventure. We have stayed in more than a dozen locations in the last 2 years and NO ONE did as GREAT a job as HOJO Anaheim!!!! The cleaning between rooms, wipes in the room, pool and waterpark reservation system, mask policy and front desk policy are all great ways to keep clean, distanced and safe! The in room ALEXA where we can request service is the best. It also plays music which my teens loved playing with! The walk to the park is easy!!! We come back and forth as needed in the day. We love watching the fireworks from the grounds here or from our balcony. We are a bit hesitant to eat indoors, but the number of choices for carry out from the nearby Gardenwalk or Downtown Disney area makes it easy to feed us all or dine outside. We find the staff here super friendly efficient and helpful!!! They make us feel like family when we are here. We can say with authority that we highly recommend Hojo Anaheim! They have performed better than many high dollar locations during this crazy time. We feel safe and pampered. Enjoy a retreat from this crazy life here!…

Our family group of 8 stayed here for a week while primarily visitng Disneyland. All the staff we encountered were outstanding - I wish we had written down specific names. I did have some issues with our original bookings but Kriss Sison, a reservation supervisor, helped me and sorted out all our needs. The Castaway Cove water park was perfect for our grandchildren (3 & 6); and the hot tub was great for us! The Garden Pool was way to cold to use even though we were told it was heated.. The rooms with two queen beds were a good size, with comfortable beds, clean and well maintained. The room we had with bunk beds & a queen bed was way too small for a family to use and much smaller than the other rooms we had. We switched things around and a couple stayed in the bunk bed room instead. The downsides to this location is that there is no onsite restaurant of any kind; the Main St Market is more of a souvenir shop; and the WiFi was not great. For us, the distance to Disneyland, while not outrageous, was a bit cumbersome at times. We like to break the day up and head to the park early, take an afternoon break and go back at night. That second round trip walk got tedious. We've travelled many times to Disneyland and this was the first time we've stayed further from the Park. While the staff, water park and rooms were far superior to previous hotels we've stayed at, we were all torn about the extra walking distance. …

Thank you for letting us know you enjoyed our comfortable beds and Cast Away Cove water playground, and hot tub. We apologize that the Garden Pool felt chilly during your stay. It is heated to a consistent 82 degrees, but it can be a bit cold outside in the March weather. We are so saddened to hear your internet connection was inconsistent. Next time be sure to alert our Front Desk Staff right away. This gives us the opportunity to fix any problems and ensure you receive a 5-star experience. We are sorry to hear our location was not convenient for your stay. Please note that the city of Anaheim does provide a paid bus service for guests called the ART bus. This bus can pick your family up in front of our hotel and take you to Disneyland and back to help rest aching feet after a long day at Disney. We really hope you give us another try and allow us the opportunity to better serve you and your family in the future. Rooms are affordable and clean. Beds were comfortable. But our building didn’t have an elevator and we had a very heavy bag to lift up a narrow stairway. And due to dated architecture, we had half circle windows up high and a street light near it so our room was never dark at night.

All of our second-floor rooms in our pavilions and our rooms on the top floor of Building 1 have skylights. Though some guests prefer the arch ceilings and additional light, we understand the frustration of being woken up early by the light coming in. We always encourage our Guests to let us know if they are unhappy with their room. Our Front Desk Staff is happy to fix any issues to your satisfaction or find an alternative room option for you. We are always working on new ways to improve and are continuously refreshing our bedrooms and facilities. Please note that both Building 1 and Building 2 have been newly renovated and have elevators for your convenience. Fantastic location to Disney parks only a few minute walk. Restaurants within walking distance. Staff very friendly and rooms clean, good size, and comfortable. Very happy with our stay and would recommend. Only issue was there wifi connection would not hook up to our phones.

The property and the rooms were very clean, the staff was very friendly, the location was perfect, right off the HWY 5, 10 mins walk to Disneyland. My kids had a blast at their water park + they had a lifeguard on duty, towels at pool was always stocked. Parking was never an issue.

This was our first stay at the HoJo Anaheim and by far it was one of the best stays ever! All the staff were amazing and super helpful, especially Zach who went out of his way to make sure our stay was awesome and that we had everything we need. We will be back to stay at this wonderful property!

We had a wonderful stay at the Howard Johnson Anaheim hotel! The kids loved the swimming pool, and the water park. There was free face painting the hotel offered that the kids also enjoyed. The hotel was a short walk to Disneyland, and we were even able to see the fireworks from our balcony. The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful. A shout out to Zach who always made sure to ask us how our stay was going, and if there was anything they could do to make our stay even better. I have to say too that the beds were extremely comfortable and I had some of the best sleeps I’ve ever had while on vacation. Also, the corner store they have on site was great for snacks and souvenirs. This is an excellent hotel and I would highly recommend it! We will be back!! Trevor and family. …
