This is one of the old motor-lodge properties across from the entrance to Disneyland, they have done a good job updating it and it is a great value. The location is the star, literally a few minutes from your room to the security checkpoint. We love being so close so we can get an early start at the park then go back to the room at 1 or 2 pm for lunch and a rest. We eat dinner around 5 and head back into the park at 6. The breakfast is pretty basic but you can grab some hard-boiled eggs and coffee to have while you wait in line for the park to open. For a good, clean and comfortable room this is the place!

Hotel's Favorite
Let me start by saying that this is the third time that we have used the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites. While it is not the fanciest hotel in the neighborhood, it is undoubtedly an excellent bang for the buck. I timed the walk from the moment that we exited the California Adventure Park, and it was about four minutes to the hotel. That is fantastic! About a year ago, we stayed at the Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland, and while that was a tremendous experience, it was still about $1000 a night for two queen beds for four people. When we went to Disneyland for Thanksgiving this year, we stayed at the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites and paid about $2100 for 8 adults and 2 children to stay in a three-bedroom suite. Had we chosen to stay at the Grand Californian, we would've spent more than that every single night over the Thanksgiving holiday. The breakfast is not the greatest, but it is free and serves its purpose. The hotel is close enough that when the grandkids needed to nap during the day, you can quickly go back to the hotel room and give them a break. All in all, the Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites is a fantastic bang for the buck! We will stay there again and again in the future.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a good night's rest every night which was surprising considering they were completely booked! The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and there were plenty of choices and seating

All about the location! Great for going back and forth from parks for naps. Always think about newer/nicer hotels a little farther away and can't bring myself to book them because Desert Inn is so convenient. Prices have gone up quite a bit in the last few years because you are paying for that mentioned convenience of being across the street from Disneyland and not their average amenities. Serves its purpose of being a clean place to lay your head if you are spending all day in the parks.

Very convenient location with decent beds. Bathroom had a bad smell and they tried to make it go away but it always came back. Cleaning crew did a great job until the last day of our stay. The breakfast fare was pretty limited. Still much better value than IHOP next door ($80 for standard breakfast fare for 5!!!) You can't beat the location of this hotel though! Easy walk to the park and a view of the fireworks from our room!
