Perfect place to stay if going to Disneyland. Basic and pretty bare bones, but very clean, beds are comfortable. Totally serviceable motel. Coffee in room. Breakfast is just okay, but it's one of the only places that offers it free in the area and you save a ton of money, especially for a family. They don't offer non dairy milk, which is annoying in this day and age, but I just bring my own almond milk and keep it in the mini fridge in the room. The only other complaint I have is that you hear every little noise of families walking down the outside hall with suitcases early in the morning and it will wake you up, but I've solved that by bringing earplugs and a white noise machine. For the inexpensive rates and the fact that you can be in Disneyland in literally 5 minutes door to door with a quick walk across the street, it's totally worth it.

This is one of the old motor-lodge properties across from the entrance to Disneyland, they have done a good job updating it and it is a great value. The location is the star, literally a few minutes from your room to the security checkpoint. We love being so close so we can get an early start at the park then go back to the room at 1 or 2 pm for lunch and a rest. We eat dinner around 5 and head back into the park at 6. The breakfast is pretty basic but you can grab some hard-boiled eggs and coffee to have while you wait in line for the park to open. For a good, clean and comfortable room this is the place!

All about the location! Great for going back and forth from parks for naps. Always think about newer/nicer hotels a little farther away and can't bring myself to book them because Desert Inn is so convenient. Prices have gone up quite a bit in the last few years because you are paying for that mentioned convenience of being across the street from Disneyland and not their average amenities. Serves its purpose of being a clean place to lay your head if you are spending all day in the parks.
