The Anaheim Marriott receives mixed feedback from guests; while the hotel is commended for its cleanliness and proximity to Disneyland, concerns about value are prevalent, with many finding the costs high for the amenities received. Room cleanliness is generally praised, although some guests have reported noise disruptions and booking mismatches. The atmosphere can be marred by external protests, and while service is sometimes noted as professional, other times it is deemed slow or inconsistent.

I've been staying here each year for the last 20 years due to an annual convention for my industry. They recently completed a renovation of all the guest rooms and they are fantastic — wood floors, beautiful bathrooms, even new sliding doors on the balconies. Really well done. The front desk staff here is exceptional and knows how to manage hundreds of guests when the conventions are happening while making everyone feel special. A special shout out to the wonderful Flor in the concierge lounge, who ordered me special eggs when she found out I was allergic to butter!

I stayed here for a work conference in early March. I tried to cancel the trip due to the COVID situation that was developing at that time, and I was told they would not allow any refunds. While the conference spaced out the seating and had hand sanitizer available, I feel like the hotel was tone deaf to what was developing. I checked out early because, on my second day there, the governor restricted gatherings and the safer at home order followed. Even then, despite the government order, the hotel did not refund me for the unused portion of my stay.

The room was nice enough and my bed was comfortable, but the noise from outside was a bit much. Also, the food in the hotel is wildly overpriced and not very good. I think they take advantage of the fact that many of the guests are here for business/the convention center, so they will be dining on-site out of convenience.

Hotel well located, clean rooms. On the other hand that hidden costs of which the room is much more expensive. Example the parking lot it is only with valet. The coffee in the room is only decaffeinated because there is a Starbucks in the hotel and it's really pitiful to get the 4 dollars in this way frankly disappointing after such a price for the room. New the expenses of use of the swimming pool to be paid also separately, the service of cleaning of the rooms it is necessary to ask it specifically, if not the room is not made, the service to the rooms after 22 is not possible and finally the reception not sympathetic at all, one would have said that one disturbed and they do not know the thank you or please.

1. This hotel charges $40 per package received
2. The housekeeping will com into your room even when you have the privacy sign hanging on the door
3. The girl at the market place “forces” you to “fill up” the credit card slip for tips before she starts to make your coffee!

After a few phone calls, they “were kind enough” to drop my $40 x2 = $80 “shipping charge” of my personal packages to $10. I refused to pay this because the reservation confirmation only indicated self and valet parking charges, but nothing about charges for package received. Ken at Bell Desk was nice enough to drop all charges on my statement. But I went to him and tipped him $10!

There are definitely many other choices in the neighborhood. This Marriott for sure would not be on of my future choices.

BTW, the executive lounge is closed on Friday and weekend, except for breakfast!

Dear dk100641, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your specific concerns. We regret that you were not informed of our package charges, especially as this is a wide practice with larger hotels. We are happy to read, though, that Ken was able to address this to your satisfaction. He is a great example of the service we strive to provide our guests. Additionally, we apologize for the service issues you encountered at the Market and with our housekeeping services. These are not normal complaints for our team members, so we will be sure to investigate your comments. Thank you once more for your feedback. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back for a more seamless travel experience. Thank you, Zuyen Urbina Front Office Manager

I have just completed my 2 night stay at the Marriott for a conference. When I checked in the front desk attendant was nice and accommodated my early check-in. I was put in a room with an adjoining door, next to a family who went to Disneyland that day, I am sure this was unknown but because of the connecting door it was so loud. Also, I believed I heard the fire alarm go off around 10pm that Sunday night. It rang for about 3 minutes, then went off so I decided not to say anything. Needless to say I did not get a great nights sleep and decided to change rooms. When asked to change rooms the front desk was very accommodating and gave me a new room. As I was packing up my stuff to go to the new room, I found underwear (not mine) in the bathroom which was pretty alarming but I just did not touch and went to my new room. Once I checked into my new room, I took a shower and the fire alarm went off in my room. I opened the balcony door and it eventually went off. I am pretty easygoing so I again, didn't say anything. This morning I took a shower again, this time it went off while in the shower, so I had to run across the hotel room soaking wet and opened up the door and it eventually went off. Once I finished my shower it went off again! I then told the front desk and they said, oh ya that happens all the time. The hotel is nice, the staff is nice, just some things were very bothersome during my stay.

Very happy with our stay at this hotel. I’ve stayed there four times in the past year. Each visit was great. I enjoy the comfortable beds, the views are nice from either side of the hotel and the valet is very convenient and fast. I love the lobby and the look of this hotel. We are Bonvoy Titanium Elite members so we get to enjoy the club level for breakfast and drinks and snacks. They do a great job on the breakfast. I love the proximity to Disneyland and also to other attractions. This is definitely one of my favorite and always dependable hotels in Orange County. Also the rates are pretty decent. The bellhop was also so nice with getting my son a soft drink he wanted and ice for our room too. I really love this hotel and highly recommend this for any Disneyland fans because they do have the shuttle pick up and also they are so very close. It’s nice to have a luxurious stay at a beautiful hotel that is nearby to great restaurants too!

If you have ever read one of my reviews, it has been a minute since I took the time to write a review, you know that I can write a million words when 10-20 are all that a perfect review needs. Evelyn Fagan was more than simply engaging. She was overwhelmingly intuitive and literally covered all of the bases to make sure my check in and initial entrance was a great experience. As my wife and I were about to head to Disneyland, we had the pleasure of meeting Elsie Carbajal, Director of Room Operations. We spoke for a couple of minutes about our room and our thoughts about it. I was very pleased to report that our room was clean, sanitary, safe and COMFORTABLE!!!!! There were others that made our stay exceptional. The valet, concierge and the housekeeping teams all did exceptionally well when working with me and other guests as well. Overall, I would say that my stay can be rated at 1000%, if only a score that high was possible. We will be back within the next month or two and will absolutely be staying here again. Thank you Anaheim Marriott for doing such a great job!

Overall I was very happy with our choice of hotel for my friend’s bachelorette party weekend. There were 11 of us and they were able to accommodate us by keeping our group pretty much together and having our rooms all on the same floor. It’s a nice hotel with a good location to Disneyland and restaurants; half of our group made the walk to Disneyland in about 18 minutes. The hotel offers self parking and valet parking, for only $10 more. A few ladies in our group booked on a third party website and received a complimentary buffet breakfast, but the Marriott members did not (I would recommend changing that, seems like your members who book directly should definitely receive a complimentary breakfast). The restaurant in the hotel was pretty good for breakfast, lots of tasty options (including a churro waffle). I have only two suggestions; first being to ask guests if they want separate checks or all on one, don’t assume. Secondly, be a little more forthcoming with the price of the buffet, all of us got the feeling it was being hidden, if $27 for a buffet breakfast is too expensive then lower the price but don’t hand a guest a menu and then say there is also a buffet but neglect to mention the price.

We enjoyed our stay at Anaheim Marriot. We stayed Dec 25 through Jan 1. They put us in the Oasis tower. We could see California Adventure from our room. I loved the elevators in this hotel. There’s a large keypad on the main floor where you type in your floor, then it tells you which elevator to get in. The elevator then immediately sends you straight to your floor (so no waiting for other guests to get off on other floors). The room was refurbished and clean. The only thing I didn’t like was the soap and shampoo they provided, had a musty smell.

A tip for transportation to Disneyland… we’ve used ART in the past and didn’t have any issues, however this time our experience was not the same. We went down to the stop early, so we were one of the first people to get on the bus, however a large line had formed behind us. The driver packed in a bunch of people then stopped the line, but then he went to 3 other stops and packed in even more people. While leaving Disneyland we saw a long line at the stop and opted to just take an Uber back (the price usually varies between $7-$9 each way, so not too expensive). On the day we took a break from the parks and just visited Downtown Disney, we walked to Downtown Disney (about a 20 min walk) and took the free Toy Story shuttle back (about a 5 min walk from the hotel).

Our flight home was cancelled so we were stuck in Anaheim for an additional 2 days. We wanted to stay at Anaheim Marriott again, but of course the last minute price was double what I originally had paid… so we opted to stay at the Hilton Anaheim across the street which was $50 cheaper per night. I did not enjoy the Hilton as much. It was huge and the layout of the hotel was confusing, I got lost trying to find the elevator from my room. The lobby was beautiful, but the rooms were extremely outdated.

I would gladly stay in the Anaheim Marriott again!

The staff here are WONDERFUL! Everyone is very friendly and responsive. From the minute you arrive and they open the doors, you feel like a total VIP!
I got to check in early, they made sure I had the room I wanted (view of the fireworks AWESOME), helped carry my bags, and the housekeeper even noticed I liked the camomile tea so they left me extra. What service.
