Hotel is in great location for Disney. There is a bus stop outside of the hotel where a bus will pick you up and take you to Disney. The rooms are nice and clean. Housekeeping is hit or miss. I asked for housekeeping once during a 4 night stay and they didn't come. The pool is excellent for kids. The pool was probably our favorite part. Self parking is $29 a night. Check in line was long and took a very long time to check in, close to 25 mins
We had a family emergency at 6pm and had to leave the hotel and drive back home. I let Jared at the front desk know so they would know the room was vacant. He spoke to a manager and they decided to give us a break since we were not staying our final night. They did not have to do anything, but they went above and beyond. In addition, we stayed on the concierge level and it was amazing. Great staff and food. The family loved it!
Great Hotel near Anaheim downtown, Conventional center, Disneyland... for training, meeting or family gathering events, 24/7 fitness center, cool bar, comfortable beds and really good restaurant located in lobby. Swimming pool is small and extra parking fee for guest
Stayed there for 5 nights. Listened to a very loud elevator all night long. Could not move us because the hotel was full. They offered noise canceling headphones. NO! Then there was urine and tons of dog feces on the balcony below us. We complained twice yet the excrement remained during our entire stay. Worst hotel in the chain! Would not even offer a refund!
I was back to the Anaheim area and tried a new property for my stay, as stated in previous reviews, aiming at finally finding that hotel that would make me feel in this century. Although I had my doubts, chose Marriott Anaheim for its convenient location -right at the convention center where my event was set to take place- rather than for its look. Because, let’s be honest, the property does not exactly yell 21st century on the outside, so my expectations were low and hoped for the best. I have to say that I liked finding a more current property in terms of style, décor, comfort, and ambiance. Although the property obviously bears its years, I can say it’s one of the most agreeable hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. The property is not perfect, lighting and ventilation have huge room for improvement, specially in the lobby bar, restaurant, coffee shop and lobby; and although you still can find some dingy 70’s carpet in some aisles, is nice not having it all over the common areas nor at the -handicap- room. And, as old-fashion practices dictate, the handicap room (at least the one we were put at), although spacious, wheelchair friendly, well lit, and obviously renewed, came with a beautiful view of the AC unit and rooftop -sarcasm!!! Regarding service, I have a few letdowns to remark. I understand the hotel may had been at full capacity, but that should be no pretext for: -Unbearable, highly annoying wait lines at the coffee shop. And be aware they “proudly serve Starbucks”, meaning this is no actual Starbucks, so friendliness was not quite the norm. -Unfriendly, rushed check-in process. No Marriott Bonvoy recognition or welcoming, and most important, NO clarification about housekeeping policies!!! -Having housekeeping visiting my room ONLY once throughout my 5-day stay because it was ON DEMAND only and nobody had the courtesy to let me know. Regarding price, well, don’t even get me started!!! I really think that when an event is going on at the Convention Center, prices rise in complete dissonance to the offered product. As with any huge property, there are PROS and CONS we could go deeper into, but long story short, Marriott Anaheim is a hotel I’d choose over most of its neighboring competitors. Although I’ll keep searching for that sweet spot within the Anaheim area, I wouldn’t mind returning to this hotel. And when coming back to the Convention Center, I will definitely choose Marriott over Hilton.…
Pros- close to Disney Cons- pretty much everything else Marriotts are normally very good- I stayed in 5 in the last two weeks and this was the one that absolutely failed to meet expectations, I even emailed the hotel manager to provide my feedback upfront and give them chance to discuss- two weeks later they haven’t responded which sums it up (although I expect I will get a reply below!) I could give all the details of what let it down- but I can put it simply. If you don’t plan on being in the hotel at all, not using the facilities and spending all of your time in Disney and have a spare hour to check in, consider this hotel. Otherwise there are so many other hotels in the vicinity that are better value, just as close and will look after you far better- book one of those
Tagged along with the hubs (work conference) for a few days. The hotel was quite nice - busy lobby, but people are always coming & going. Get the breakfast buffet - it's essentially the same price vs ordering a la carte, by the time you add on drinks (coffee, juice, tea). Plus you can get a custom made omelet if you select the buffet option. After business/touristing around/Disney, the lounge are was nice to come back to and have a snack/drink. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup each day (clearly I liked it) and the service was very good. Locaton is very convenient to Disney - you can walk if you're inclined. :)
As with any hotel property in this day and age people make the difference. Over time hotels all start to look the same. If any changes need to be made it certainly isn’t in the hardworking professionals we met. Five star staff in a four star hotel means that the right stars are shining. Well played Marriott, well played. You still need to battle it out with Hilton so step it up a bit more please. You got the right staff now what can you do outside of them to bring you the top spot? Pros of this Property: Staff Location General appearance Holes in sheets I actually applaud you for that because having had both over the years, holes and no holes, I slept the same. The planet needs less waste and more holes in its sheets. More specifically with the staff Breakfast staff is right up there with the best of the best. How you all make sense out of a rather Jengaesque breakfast area defies scientific explanation. And the assertive staff members there who have more leadership skills than any member of Congress, hats off to you! Housekeeping staff you wowed us! We appreciate the kindness and attention to detail. Staff directing the traffic chaos outside? Not all superheroes wear capes. Reign on you amazing souls! Marvel needs to make a movie about these incredible, kind super humans. I have yet to see anyone anywhere on the planet top what you do. Conference staff each of you know just how to handle grumpy people looking for morning coffee. Your set up and takedown skills are in a class all its own. Seamless and smooth. Assertive when necessary and nobody’s feelings got hurt. The gentleman at the bar with a command of knowledge regarding area and regional beverages? One of the best of the best my friend. Cheers! Check into the Marriott and check out the stars. They are there to make your experience the best it can be. Cons (Pesky Stuff) Get some decent wi-fi and stop charging for it (We are in 2022 not 2000) When your shower steam sets off the smoke detector at 6AM do you really need a wake up call system? Good hotel irons are out there, seek them out Hotel convenience stores are convenience stores. Get your steps in as there is a Walgreens near you. I never located the concierge but that helped us avoid spending a lot of money on foolish things. When it was all said and done, we ended up in Newport Beach on a boat for lunch for a fraction of a Disney Holiday and still was able to spend like mad in Downtown Disney. It’s about balance. Walt, you’re welcome!…
I attended a three day conference and was amazed at how smoothly and easily I was able to navigate the hotel during the high peak tourist season. The layout of this property makes it simple to figure out where to go depending on your interest or purpose for staying. The staff are extremely intuitive and helpful. And the rooms are some of the nicest I have ever stayed in. Beds are super comfortable and the bathroom shower is excellent. This is definitely one of the best places to stay whether you are at the Disneyland Resort for fun or work.
Came for a tradeshow for 3 nights. This is one of the better Marriott’s I have been to as a Titanium Lifetime member. Used my SNA’s and actually got upgraded to a junior suite. Most comfortable bed. Bathroom was a bit small for a big room. Room had a balcony. Club lounge was very nice with the usual food items. We were give PM coupons for appetizers which we used 2 days. Breakfast in their main restaurant was very good as this was given to us since the lounge was closed on weekends. Very nice fitness center with many working machines. Marketplace serves coffee and food items. Nice nice lobby. Lots of things going on while we were there but the hotel handled it well.
