The Fairfield Anaheim Resort is often praised for its modern ambiance and strategic location near Disneyland, making it a hit with many guests looking for nearby entertainment and dining. However, some visitors have expressed concerns over the value, citing hidden parking fees and costly services that don't quite match up with expectations. While the cleanliness of the hotel generally earns rave reviews, opinions on the amenities and room maintenance are mixed, with some guests finding the rooms spacious and others suggesting updates are needed. We booked a five-day / four-night vacation through Cost Co. and selected Fairfield Inn by Marriott based on proximity to Disneyland. When we arrived, we could not have been more pleased by the hotel, location, staff, experience... EVERYTHING! The food and drink amenities in the hotel were great to have, the arcade created a great break from everything. The location was phenomenal as well! Not only were we able to walk to the park within 7 minutes, but there were also dining options (GOOD ones) within a 15-minute walk of the hotel. We even took a day off from the park and drove to Hunnington beach for some surfing, and it was great proximity to that as well. I could not say enough great things about this hotel and the staff there. Everyone was friendly and willing to help in any way possible.

We stayed at Fairfield Inn for our latest trip to Disneyland. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We called housekeeping for some extra towels and they were delivered within minutes, which isn’t always the case when we have stayed at other hotels.

The walk to Disneyland or California Adventure Parks is about 7-8 minutes so it is very convenient, especially if you decide you need a rest break during your day.

The 3rd floor of the hotel has a small game room area and a coffee bar / Pizza Hut with seating. There is a Panera restaurant right in front of the hotel and a McDonalds next door. Harbor street has a few other restaurants along the walk towards the Parks.

The only drawback to the hotel for me was some slight traffic noise because the door entrances are on the outside.

My sons and I came to Disneyland for a quick Spring Break trip. We planned it a little bit last minute and got a great rate at this hotel. I hadn't stayed here in many years. We arrived early and our room was ready. I really like the setup of the room. The sink is outside of the bathroom and the minifridge and coffee maker are nearby. There is an area to hang clothes and store suitcases next to the sink. There are some small shelves on the wall by the sink, which I loved. I could leave our toiletries there and not have a cluttered counter. This whole area can be closed off by a barn door, so those still sleeping are not disturbed by people getting ready. Our room was a standard 2 queen facing Disneyland. There is a chair that folds out in the room also. We had a view of Space Mountain. You can't see the fireworks from this area. We were in room 404. The room was clean and comfortable. The main issue I had was that I could hear people in the adjoining room talking in the morning. The staff was really wonderful.

We were at Disneyland when the decision was made to close the parks due to Coronavirus. We had 2 days at the parks and would have spent a 3rd on the first day of the closure. The hotel management texted me to let me know if I wanted to leave early, there would be no charge. They were very helpful as I tried to navigate the situation. American Airlines was unreachable and then later canceled my flight and rebooked us, necessitating a lot of effort in getting a shuttle and reorganizing our plans. The staff at the hotel assisted me throughout. I know that the staff was facing uncertainty as the resort area turned in to a ghost town overnight. They had to be concerned for their livelihood, but they didn't let on and continued to assist all of us guests whose vacations turned upside down. We were among the last guests at the hotel during this time.

When the parks open again, I hope to be able to book my room at Fairfield. The location is great, but the employees really make this a top choice for me.

Stayed at this property starting on the 4th of July for 3 Nights, on a last minute Disneyland Trip. This was a good hotel, and it provided what was needed.

It sits just across the street from the Disneyland Park, and it’s a very quick walk to the main gates.

The McDonalds being on the same property was a huge plus as we were able to grab something quick to eat late at night, as we arrived after 10:00pm

The hotel and the room were clean, I liked that the room includes a small refrigerator, and coffeemaker. The room we received was quiet, and everything worked, with no issues. The bed was comfortable, and had 4 very good/large pillows. Also all the staff we encountered was friendly, and helpful

The things I would list as negatives are: Due to the pandemic they didn't provide housekeeping during our stay, for 3 nights it wasn’t an issue, but if we had stayed longer I would have felt different.

The pool area is small.

I also wish the room had a small desk w/chair or dining table and 2 chairs rather than the small single fabric armchair. I felt that as 2 people one of us always had to sit on the bed. Also the toiletries were very limited, and very basic, I'm glad I brought everything I needed from home.

I would consider this hotel again for our next Disneyland Trip if the price is competitive for the room type we like to book (king bed).

Very nice hotel! This was my first time staying here. I was immediately pleased with the ability to check in early. This is something that I value highly! Not having to change clothes in the lobby bathroom before heading to the park is so important.
The room was spacious and clean.
The bathroom area is awesome with a heavy barn door to close off the beds from the bathroom. The sink , fridge and coffee maker are also closed off from the beds which is so nice when multiple people are getting ready or someone is sleeping in.
Hangers! This is huge for me. I usually bring my own hangers because hotels never have enough but there were plenty here.
The bathroom also had shelves which was super convenient for organizing and keeping toiletries and makeup off the counter.
The walk to the park was not bad at all. Short enough to return midday for a quick break. I liked the friendly employee stationed at the entrance to the parking lot. Always said hello and goodbye. And its nice to know that the parking lot and hotel are being monitored.
Only a few cons but they would not deter me from staying here again...makeup on the back of the bathroom door (I brought my own cleaning wipes so I washed it off) and the towels were a little stained and scratchy. Not terrible but I think new towels might be in order here.
Overall a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again!

I booked this hotel due to the easy 15 minute (leisurely) walk to the main Disney gate and was cheapest rate among the closer hotels in the area. This place did not disappoint. It is a motel style (rooms are on outside corridor) but that wasnt a problem for us. Upon check in, I was notified that I booked a king with couch (non sofabed) room which turns out is an accessible room. She explained that the website doesn't alert you that this room type is not a reqular room so be warned. She upgraded me to a 2 queen theme room on the 7th floor at no additional charge due to the misunderstanding of the website. She also allowed us to check in slightly before noon at no additional charge for early check in which was soooo appreciated. The room itself was clean. I love that there is no carpet. It was nice to have a sliding door on the dressing/sink/closet area for more privacy. I liked the separate toilet/shower/tub area. I did not like the coffee maker being in the sink area but that's probably just my little quirk. The room worked fine for just the two of us. I would think it would get tight with more than 3 adults. The elevators were reasonable and not crowded at all. The shampoo/conditioner are not Paul Mitchell as shown in a few pics I saw. My hair didn't like the ones they have now. Did not lather well and had an "off" lemon scent? Again, probably just me and my little quirks. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. LOVED having McDonalds literally next door. There is also Panera in the same parking lot and IHop on way to Disneyland. I believe I saw a Mimis Cafe a little further north but we didn't venture that direction NOTE..... The themed rooms are more expensive than a reqular one and the only difference I saw was the themed rooms have wallpaper on the wall where the beds are. I wouldn't pay the extra just for that. I will absolutely make this my go to hotel for Disney unless I will the lottery and can stay on Disney property! LOL

I am an avid traveler and have not given very many 1 stars. As a diamond Hilton member I'm not used to staying at Marriott properties but chose this hotel because of prime location to Disneyland.

In fairness, I should say that I had 2 back-to-back stays here and the first one was fine, no issues.

I called ahead to ask about the parking situation and was told that I could park early and leave car there the following day no problem (on my first trip).

On my 2nd trip, we did the exact same thing. Except this time I was charged $175.50 for "extended parking" of my car. First, while they claim to have changed their policy on May 16th, 2021, I was never informed of the penalty of leaving car beyond check-out time. It took me a week of dealing with Luis with LAZ Parking (the assistant manager) before his Manager, Johnny Mendoza, would even call me back at which point provided no solution except $25/night refund (which I also already paid in addition to the $175.50. I then asked for proof of timestamp to which they sent me a picture of the WRONG VEHICLE, still refusing to refund.

I also spoke with Chelsea, the front desk manager who basically said, not our problem LAZ is a 3rd party vendor that manages our parking. I referenced my email which Johnny assured me had all the details for extended parking charges, nothing was in there. He said it was on the sign as you drive in. Excuse me but we waited 45 min at 10pm at night just to pull in to lot b/c they were so backed up so no I didn't see the sign (which I question is really even there) nor read it. Then he said well, they told you when you pulled in to park and at the front desk. No they did not. Does it seem reasonable to pay for 3 hrs of extended pay at the rate of what they charge for another night stay?

I'm completely flummoxed by Marriott customer service. I asked to speak with the General Manager who apparently is never working or they won't give me his/her contact information. I now am disputing it with my credit card company out of principle and may very well never frequent another Marriott again.

Lastly, if you are looking for a hotel that is convenient for location, it really doesn't matter with this hotel now that you cannot park until check in time and you have to move car at check out time. The whole point for a lot of us is to NOT have to deal with parking while frequenting Disneyland. Why Marriott will not provide any customer service to their clients nor acknowledge bad parking terms is beyond me.

So moral of the story. Stay somewhere else. Plenty of hotels will let you park with their standard overnight charge. We've stayed at the Hilton Convention Center and it was lovely.

Most importantly, the location for Disney is unbeatable — it's directly across the street from the entrance, and you can be at the entrance to the parks by walking less than 5 minutes, or Downtown Disney in 6. That said, they do not allow you to leave your car in the parking lot after checkout, and parking at the hotel is not inexpensive, so you may still have to pay for theme park parking. The decor is quite rundown and blah, though it is very clean, and service is friendly. Next time, I would choose a nicer hotel farther away if I can't take advantage of the location.

My niece and I just completed a 10 day absolutely magical stay at this hotel. After 20+ years of visiting Disneyland, I've stayed at almost every property in walking distance, including the 3 Disney hotels. By far, this was my happiest experience... We are currently recovering from a global pandemic, so things aren't the same as they were pre-Covid. However, the staff at this hotel, Sabrina, Gisela, Jennifer and one other amazing woman with short dark hair (forget her name) did everything in their power to make our stay the happiest time EVER!!! They exceeded expectations. Our room was immaculately clean. Additional supplies were brought up immediately upon request, with no expectation of a tip. The only downside was that we had to leave when our stay was completed. And the location across the street from Disneyland was perfect, since we could come and go as we pleased and not worry about the almost non-existent tram service. What a wonderful way to celebrate my niece's 13th birthday and 8th grade graduation. Thank you staff of Fairfield Inn!!!

We stayed here for 5 nights to visit Disneyland. The property is clean and updated and we'll kept. I was impressed with how well staffed the property was- from the parking attendant, valet staff, to security and front desk personnel. Most were very friendly too! The room was a nice size and well appointed for a value motel. We had a room on the 5th floor. Unfortunately, we were behind the elevator shift which makes a lot of noise. Other than that, the walls seem well insulated and there wasn't a lot of other noise to deal with. Housekeeping only comes every 3 days, so they only came once in a 5 day stay. That's really not acceptable. 3 people living out of one room, it's going to need cleaned and replenished. Think about outfitting the rooms with a 20 gallon trash can, not these worthless waste paper baskets. And maybe furnish enough towels for 3 days at a time. Proximity to DLR was very good, about 12 minutes door to door. It was nice having mcdonalds and panera nearby. I would recommend this motel to other travelers. Good bang for your buck. Parking is pricey, but felt secure.
