    Agoura Getaway
This Sheraton enjoys a nice location between Agoura and Westlake Village. Located right off the 101 freeway, it's only a short drive to many good restaurants and bars. The nearby IHOP is open 24 hours. Islands is another family-friendly restaurant nearby. For couples I would suggest Nonna's in Westlake or Stonehaus for small plates and wine. The Old Place is a popular weekend spot in Agoura. There is good hiking nearby and the beach is one scenic drive away. Others might prefer a leisurely stroll along the lake in Westlake or browsing for bargain books at the Agoura library Saturday book sale. My room at the Sheraton was comfortable, with thick mattresses, downy pillows and a roomy bathroom. The newly installed LG flatscreen TV was huge compared to my home TV. I appreciated the good lighting for reading and good-sized refrigerator for restaurant leftovers. I didn't use the pool or fitness room but did notice a nice variety of equipment in the fitness room (though a bit crowded). The public areas were fine and there was complimentary coffee at the lobby level, supplementing the in-room Starbucks. Having stayed at many Sheraton hotels I was expecting better maintenance. One of the outdoor steps to the lobby was broken. Some paint/cement was missing from an outdoor wall going toward the conference rooms. Also, there were some holes in my bathroom wall where something once hung but was not replaced. The exterior paint colors seemed out of line for the Sheraton image, but maybe the image is changing? Overall I think the hotel is a good choice for a short stay.

    Classic property with nice updates
This was a solid option for us - we wanted to be somewhere between LA and Santa Barbara, two travel points for us. We did have an issue at check in but I'm going to cut the property some slack, partly because I think it stemmed from confusion with Marriott's larger booking system and details about room types, and partly because the rest of the stay was very nice. (They did change our room to fix the issue, which worked great.) The property was a bit older but the lobby was updated and rooms were really nice and clean. All around, I'd definitely consider returning if we're in the area. (However, I will say that almost $20 for a tepid buffet breakfast in house is a bit much - we skipped it and went elsewhere and suggest others do, too.)

    A Functional Overnight Stay
This property works well as a place to stay while going somewhere else. While it is generally clean and in a quiet setting at the base of a mountain, there is little that would cause you to want to stay longer. The biggest problem was that while California has lifted most restrictions, restaurants and bars are still closed. The public areas had a deserted feeling to them. Parking is free which for the LA area is a plus
Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback!

My recent stay at this Sheraton was fine. Nothing great but there are some fixes they can complete to make stays better. The hotel is in major need of a remodel. While there isn’t anything they can do about the low ceilings in the hallways and rooms, the biggest and easiest thing is probably relighting. Hallways are dark and so are the rooms. Some natural light helps but at night with the blinds closed the lamps are the harsh yellow/orange lighting and the lamps are old. The furniture is really showing its age. The pool could also have been a bit cleaner. Many dead bees, bugs and tree branches. The bed was comfortable though and Sheraton does have the best smelling bathroom amenities of all the Marriott brands, in my opinion.

My husband and I travel to the Thousand Oaks/Northridge area from San Diego every two to three months to visit my son and his family. We usually stay at the Warner Center, (where we will stay at again), yet wanted to try another hotel. We are so happy to have stayed here. I found the room to be well designed and very romantic. The bed was a dream and the room was nicely laid out. Loved the shower. Roomy bathroom and the lighting was good. Plenty of (Free) Parking. We loved the serene location. The Staff were very kind, welcoming and attentive. It's a short drive to restaurants, Wood Ranch Grill is a fav of ours. There was a Tesla charging close by. We are looking forward to our stay later this month.

Check in was easy by the friendly staff. The room was a good size and clean, with all amenities (coffeemaker, mini fridge), but was very dark. Unfortunately, there was only a power outlet on one side of the bed--not good in this modern age of electronics when two people need to charge devices at bedside! The bed was so tall to climb up into, but once there it was comfortable and had non-feather pillow options--great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was noisy--aside from the loud rushing air, there was a jarringly loud bang sound every time the unit would auto turn off, making it difficult to sleep, and the room was too hot in July to turn it off completely. The bathroom (also dark) had a shower/tub combo with mold in the tile grout--housekeeping needs to give it a good scrubbing. The water pressure was great but the water itself was very soft. There wasn't a hair dryer in any drawer, cubby hole, or closet; after calling the front desk twice they finally brought one, about an hour and a half later (guess the first front desk guy forgot). The wall mounted magnifying glass was a nice touch. The free WiFi was painfully slow to connect and kept cutting out; maybe our room at the end of a hallway was out of range but that should be fixed so signal reaches all rooms. The hotel has a large, open-air parking lot. I've stayed here before and despite the issues I might stay again the next time I'm in the area or I might decide to look elsewhere.

I stayed here for a wedding for two nights a few months back. I was hesitant to post a review because I rather hash it out with the hotel but they eventually went the route of ignoring me. The hotel was overall fine, I’d put it as a two star hotel, dirty carpet, corners of room were dusty, vents dusty, whatever it happens. However, the comforter was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in an hotel before. When making the bed one of the mornings, we noticed the comforter was ridden with mold, dirty, I don’t even know, I’ve never seen anything like this. We didn’t want to make a huge fuss at the front desk hoping that the bride and groom would not find out about our experience but we took some photos are shared it with the hotel desk staff. They were disgusted and shocked, they told us they would send up the cleaning service to disinfect the room and change the bedding. There must have been a miscommunication because the only change to the room was that the comforter on the floor was picked up and put right back onto the bed and the bed was made. We honestly just removed the comforter for the duration of our stay because she didn’t want to argue and we’re so disgusted, slept with our hoodies and sweatpants on. During checkout we were about to meet Rick, “the manager”, immediately he was defensive, rude, confrontational as if we had told him his own kitchen in his house was dirty. My ask of rec was to get a refund for the two nights, as it’s absolutely unreasonable to stay in those conditions, especially after bringing it up twice, and if he wasn’t able to give me a refund, I was looking for points to be added to my account. Nothing more than that just my money back - pretty reasonable. Please see Ricks response to my email: “Sorry for the delay.  We did some testing with the chemical supplier. This was not mold as first stated not was it dirt.  Feather can scorch when old and inside a sealed comforter like we have. When you first came down you were mentioning congestion or sinus issues because you believed it to be mold.  This is not the case and these linen items, while old, are not dirty. I hope this clarifies things for you.” Scorched feathers lol?? I followed up via call, voicemails and emails after the fact. Zero response. Such poor management and disgusting experience.

My hotel was broken into with a master key and my bags with my car keys were stolen. If you're planning on using this as the hotel for your wedding guests I would stay elsewhere because security here sucks and the general manager is unresponsive. I stayed at this hotel for my friend's wedding with two other young women over labor day weekend. We closed the door behind us and it locked automatically. When we returned, our bags were stolen. Nothing could be done that night because the sheriff's department couldn't come till morning. The daytime manager tried to help us in the morning but was unable to do much. She later told us that a master key was used to get into our room but they couldn't tell when because the key logs were showing all the keys were used at the same time which was inaccurate because we were in and out of the room all day. They couldn't give the officer any useful information because they didn't have security footage of every exit/entrance of the building nor did they have footage of our hallway. Our stuff was eventually found in a ditch in Ventura county but my keys with my key fob were still missing which meant I was stranded in LA County until the dealership services opened up the following Tuesday. Even though it was their fault our stuff was stolen due to their lack of security they still wanted to charge me $100 for the extra night. They kept promising they'll get back to me in regards to comping me for reprograming my key fobs, the extra day I took off from work, changing the locks to my apt., etc. but I still haven't been contacted by their insurance. I've been trying to get a response from the general manager Rick Englehard since October.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE! The absolutely worst experience I have ever had at a hotel and I travel all the time and have stayed at hotels around the world. I booked on Priceline and paid in full for 2 nights before I ever arrived at the hotel! At check in, the hotel charged our card their $150 USD for incidentals AND an additional $837 USD. After I checked out and realized they had charged $837 USD I called and complained and waited for the unauthorized and erroneous charge to be reversed and credited to my account. I waited a week for the reversal to credit the $837 USD. This was actually the beginning of the continuing nightmare. The following day my card was charged $543.43 USD and when I called to complain AGAIN the manager then took my call and apologized and advised me that they had charged my card instead of Priceline and that Priceline's card was not accepting the charge. That was not my problem to pay as I had already paid Priceline in full before my arrival. The manager Rick emailed me some statement showing they reversed the charges. NOT ONLY DID THIS NOT HAPPEN.. IN FACT THEY CHARGED ME ANOTHER $534.43 USD!!! Now the hotel owes me $1068.86. I even showed up at the hotel 9 days after check out to demand my funds be returned to me and a rude staff member named Liz called the "merchant" and assured me it was all a mistake and my funds would be returned. Three weeks later I still have NOT had my unauthorized, illegally taken funds returned! I have disputed the transaction with my bank, called Marriott, emailed and called the hotel, emailed and called the owners Khanna Hotels, filed a complaint with Priceline and the Better Business Bureau. The manager Rick will not respond to emails nor will Khanna Hotels. I hope my bank or Priceline or Marriott or the Better Business Bureau will help me retrieve the funds taken from my account! SHAME ON MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP OF THIS HOTEL!!

Best Room Service! We spent one night recently on a trip from SLO to San Diego. The staff were accommodating when we requested a noon check out and a ground floor room. The room was quiet even in the morning, while adjacent to the workout room. The bathroom was roomy with plenty of storage space and a great makeup mirror. The building itself and the grounds were a bit worn and somewhat outdated. The best part was the room service! Some of the best we've had. My fiance had the salmon which was nicely grilled with fresh veggies. I had the chicken picata. For breakfast I had the eggs Benedict, which were great. The food and the service are definitely a ten in our book!

We booked here because of the convenient location along Hwy 101 for our road trip along the CA coast. Hotels in and around LA are so expensive and dingy, but this place is just outside the city, only 20 minutes from the valley. Super nice hotel, very clean, nice area. The big surprise was how amazingly comfortable the best were. I stay at a lot of hotels, rarely do I ever bother writing a review but this one stands out. Slept 10 hours straight. Most refreshing sleep I’ve had in months. If the price and location don’t convince you, you should stay here just for the comfy beds!

Overpriced ran down hotel, the heater/air conditioner didn’t work. Paid $225 per night. Needs updating, happy hour wasn’t good, bar tender wasn’t good. Breakfast was good, but over priced. Shop around, this isn’t it.

I stayed at this hotel even though I live locally as our water heater broke. This was the first to come to mind and they were very accommodating at checked me in early, around 10:30. It's definitely a bit worse for wear though - frayed carpet (that wasn't swept very well), peeling wallpaper and the absolute lumpiest pillow I have ever encountered. The last is the reason for the review as the bed is comfortable enough but the pillows are just awful. They offered a good selection of products in the restroom and have room service that I didn't use. I appreciate the stay when needed but I wouldn't return.
