If you find yourself in Arkadelphia, what a treasure to find for lodging! Our room, The Founder's Room (#4) was roomy and very clean. I didn't notice it, but Mom said the road noise was more noticeable from this room than other rooms that she has stayed in in the past. The snack room hit the spot and the various... More

We found Henderson House B & B on line when looking for a good stopping place along the road from Chicago to Dallas. Arkadelphia is a quiet, lovely college town. Henderson House sits on campus at the corner of 10th st and Henderson. It is an imposing white Victorian house with the most marvelous oak wood work inside its many... More

we stayed in the Millsap Room. We found this B & B to be one of the best we've stayed in so far. The service was professional, the house was very clean and quiet, and the breakfast were to "die for"! We have an allergy to wheat, and the staff made sure our food was Gluten-Free! We would definitely stay... More

The B&B is a local refurbished large home owned by a respected military man from civil war days. The inn is adjacent to Its namesake Henderson State University. They have approximately 8 rooms and it is staffed mostly by students and a responsible housekeeper that also Steve's as the morning cook. They will take your requests for breakfast and of... More

I spent a solo weekend at Captain Henderson's B&B and it was heavenly! I stayed in the Elk Horn room (the round room upstairs) and it was perfect. Roomy, comfy bed, everything I needed. Huge bonus - there is an air conditioning unit located in each room and it's work like a dream. You can get it as cold as... More

Let's face it. Arkadelphia is not really a tourist destination. But if you do find yourself there, this is by far the best place to stay. The building is beautifully restored. The furnishings are period pieces that are very comfortable. There are antiques throughout the public rooms. Breakfast is great and the staff is friendly.

My mom booked several rooms at the Henderson House for my graduation. The breakfast was wonderful! We had a haunted room and were not the only ones who thought so, since we found a poem in the drawer the next morning about the ghostly chill. I could feel a presence but slept wonderfully. I especially sleep well when it's cold.... More

My husband and I just returned home from another delightful stay at the Capt. Henderson House. We love this place .... beautiful home, delicious breakfasts and afternoon treats, rooms are decorated to the period of the Victorian house and Vicki the innkeeper does a wonderful job of keeping everything running smoothly. Perfect gracious experience for a relaxing getaway. We will... More

My sister and I just spent 4 nights at this B & B. It is a gorgeous, home inside and out. We stayed in a downstairs suite with a full sized pull-out sofa. I slept on that and would recommend a mattress topper. We had some issues with the heater, but Vicki, the Innkeeper set us right up with electric... More

We just stayed at the Captain Henderson House and we already wish we were back. The rooms are very large and beautiful. The sheets are the smoothest we have ever slept on. Breakfast included a yummy homemade cinnamon raisin coffecake. All kinds of snacks and beverages were available whenever we wanted them. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.... More
