This resort is well kept with friendly tenants. The new owners are making some upgrades. This resort is very close to desert hiking trails and very good view of substitution mountain. There is a resident that offers airport pickup and drop off and with 98 residents living in the resort year around we feel this provides good security. This resort is reasonably priced.

Positives: Clean, quiet, friendly neighbors Negatives: No one has been able to use the pool, in comfort, because they refuse to heat it to the temperature they guarantee it to be, per a posting at the pool. It was a big selling point for me, originally, because it was so comfortable. Everyone has been complaining all winter and spring but they have never turned up the heater to where it is supposed to be. They either say they will or give yet another excuse as to why it isn't heated. There is deferred maintenance on the lots, that again, have come with promises to correct. I have seen nothing done in over a year. Raw sewage bubbling up from the ground in the spaces. The common buildings are kept at temperatures too high for comfort and they have locked the thermostats so you cannot go in from the heat and set it to under 76 degrees. They're going to see a mass exodus if the things people have paid for are not corrected. Perhaps it all is due to the fact it was taken over by Sun Communities.

I live in a small town where everybody knows everybody and they know your business before you do. That being said, Lost Dutchman RV Resort is worse than the small town I'm from. This is supposed to be a 55+ RV resort, however it's just an old trailer park with old people having nothing better to do than make up stories about their neighbors. Total ridiculous! Worse yet, it used to be a nice place to visit, but no longer. I visited my cousin and her husband in August the streets were filthy; Seems even though people work there, no one knows how to pick up the garage that is everywhere! And it's the slow season! I can't imagine how badly it will get when all 732 spots are actually occupied! I feel bad for my cousins, they paid a pretty penny for their place. Sad to say the new owners are do nothing slum lords! What a shame it used to be such a fun place visit, in previous years. I accompanied my cousin to the dog park and could not believe the filth! There are signs directing people to pick up after their pets but it falls on deaf ears! Dog Poop everywhere, plus the Poop garbage can was full to the brim, as was the other garbage can, along with cigar butts all over the ground. Then you couldn't sit any place comfortably as the flies, mosquitoes and red ants were just waiting to bite you. Plus the so called fruit orchard area, which includes garbage and recycle dumpsters along with horse shoe pits, pickle ball courts and a pond had garbage everywhere, including yucky old furniture filling dumpsters! I hate it for my elderly cousins they are such nice people and don't deserve to live in a place like this, with do nothing management! This Is definitely NOT WHAT I WOULD CALL A RESORT!

RV park and trailer park is in a great location, very secure and very clean, lots of amenities too. Reasonable rates and always something to do there. Been our second year visiting and hope to make it three in a row....

Defiantly worth your time and money. There are 3 different resorts to choose from and you may participate in any activity at any of the 3 resorts. All are clean and well maintained. Office staff was very personable and eager to assist. Office coordinator, Jody, has been outstanding. It is obvious she loves her job. Events are efficiently organized.
