A beautiful little gem. Cabins were clean and comfortable. Everyone there was so nice. I highly recommend going on a trail ride. These aren't tired old horses you tend to get at other places. All in all we had a great time.
We have stayed here before and had an enjoyable stay but not this time. We paid $172 for a cabin with no screens on the windows and no fans in the room. It was 90 degrees and no way could you get any air in...More
Beautiful setting with views of the meadow and elk. We stayed in a cabin, which was spectacular.

We checked in on Friday, June 2nd and thanks to Mother Nature we were treated to an amazing thunderstorm. We sat on the porch with beer and wine and enjoyed the show.

The closest large airport, Phoenix or Tucson, is about 250 miles. Either one would be an excellent choice. If you flew to Tucson you would be driving to Hannagan Meadow from the south, through Clifton/Morenci. It is a really nice drive as Hwy 191 goes right through a huge open-pit mine, then 30 or so miles of switchbacks going from desert to pine-trees and then to the Lodge. From Phoenix you would get there by going north through Payson, Show Low, Pinetop and Alpine. That is also a really nice drive though not as dramatic. It is about 5 hours from either location. Flagstaff is about the same distance, and it would be a great drive, but the airport is small and there may not be many choices re flights, plus you would have to change planes in Phoenix or Tucson to get to Flagstaff. You can't miss with either Phoenix or Tucson.
