Very nice comfortable room. Everyone was very friendly. Very nice to know that they had staff on the floor to handle anything you might need. My first time back since Covid and I was shocked that Taste had moved over by the Movie Theatres and was so small. We loved Taste in the past. The Grill is the only other option to eat, during the day, and that is a grab and go place. I sure did appreciate that it is now a non smoking casino.

I came to Wind Creek Atmore from Mobile, Alabama because I needed a pampering vacation. I was not coming there to gamble and never touched one single slot machine. I was looking forward to eating at their high-end steakhouse, spending some time in the spa and catch a movie before I left to come back home - and maybe do some bowling. I ended up leaving a day early and getting comped for my stay. So here's the problem with Wind Creek: They use covid as an excuse to shut down a lot of their amenities, refuse to open them back up (even though everything else is open back up) and they refuse to update their website so you don't know what's not available until you get there and have reserved the room and paid your money - and of course no price or rates have decreased as a result of all these closures. I reserved a King ultra bed. It's $189 a night, but we all know after taxes and fees, we're looking at over $200. As I stated before, several of the amenities were nonexistent. Case in point, I was supposed to be able to get room service. When I called it this morning, it was rerouted to someone's cell phone. There was no voicemail explaining why we couldn't reach them. I called the front desk and they said that they've been getting calls all morning about it and they don't know what's going on. Why they couldn't just go and ask? I then called valet and that poor child had to run up and down trying to find different people to help me. I was contacted by Courtney who was so professional as was everyone but I dealt with there. She comped my stay and we called it even. I came there Monday to leave Wednesday. It wasn't until after I got there that I realized there that the steakhouse that I was hoping to enjoy the night of my arrival wouldn't be open until Thursday. They have another buffet that has been closed for a year. That only leaves the smaller buffet with very few choices like fried foods and all of it is very unhealthy. It gave me heartburn well until this morning. When I couldn't get room service for breakfast, they told me if I wanted, I could go to the grill restaurant and get it from there. This was the same place that selling corn dogs and french fries. I'm not paying $200 a night for a room to eat corn dogs and french fries. I could have gone to Holiday Inn Express up the street and they would have had a continental breakfast for free waiting for me down at the lobby and I would have paid less money for the room. Then I would have had to have to get fully dressed to walk across the casino to get to this grill and I could not have gone in my sleeping clothes and flip-flops like I would be able to do at a regular hotel. The spa is disconnected from the hotel so you literally have to walk outside to get to it. That's absolutely ridiculous. We had freezing temperatures at night and I would have been in 40 degree weather so I couldn't just throw on some flip-flops and a tube top dress to go over there. You would have had to be fully clothed just to get there to completely undressed just to put on a robe just to turn around and get wet up in the steam room to turn around and take another shower at the spa to put your clothes back on to turn around and come back to the hotel. My hair would have been wet so I would have been able to enjoy the movie theater because they said they can't control the temperature and it's far too cold in there. Even though they did mention it on their website, they refuse to offer day passes since covid so you only get one hour before/after a service at the spa. If you are from Atmore, don't have the healthiest of diets and just come for the gambling, you will absolutely love it. There are more corn fritters and fish nuggets then you could ever fill in your belly. However, if you peruse their website and you want to go there for the A-Class treatment, you are wasting your time. Nothing's working, nothing's open and no one knows why. The only thing good about this place was the underpaid, overworked employees that made my stay pleasant. However, corporate ought to be ashamed of themselves.

This is sad And I hate to report this! We went to the casino for their food even though the main dinning area was closed. So we pay get our food went back to table to have the hardest flavorless shrimp I have ever eaten! My wife had broiled fish and she hated that as well, What happened? This used to be a wonderful meal for us but now you dont even have prime rib anymore! We will never return.

Just home from an awesome one night stay at Wind Creek Atmore. Beautiful corner room was exceptional. Dinner at Fire Steakhouse was delicious and very special. However, our lunch at the Taste Buffet was also very delicious and the servers were awesome! The new location across from the movie theatre, had great food and desserts! It’s smaller than it used to be, but all the food items were tasty and I highly recommend searching it out. Don’t be turned off by the smaller size, everything was yummy and my husband scarfed down the fried chicken (among other items) and declared the Red Velvet Cake, the best he’s ever had!! Don’t miss this hidden gem at the Windcreek Casino in Atmore.

Do not go! They have exploited the people in Alabama to no end! The citizens local have been robbed and pillaged ! They have purchased casinos in Pennsylvania and Illinois and other sites for billions of dollars! They started in the state of Alabama and all the revenue they captured from it local citizens has been used for out of state purchases! The payoff in Alabama is controlled by there on gaming commission! So please if your passing through Alabama don’t stop at WindCreek casinos! Victoryland in shorter al or continue on to a near by legal gambling state with a real gaming commission!

If you want to have fun playing the slot machines at Wind Creek you must be able to plY without worrying about losing. So budget carefully. There are lots of machines that are very entertaining when you hit a “ bonus” . Some folks play these slots constantly , so there is a chance you could win big. And if you are fortunate to play and just recoup your money then you have had fun. While you play the slots there are staff who walk around delivering drinks to those who dont want to leave their machine, take advantage of this and keep playing. Most of all. Have fun.
