Overall, this is a great hotel. The rooms were nicely appointed, spacious and well supplied. We loved all the funky art with a strong feminist bent. Take time to look at it. Our check-in person was extremely friendly, patient and accommodating. We did not eat dinner there as the menu is very limited and staff not welcoming, but the bar scene was lively. Breakfast the following morning tasted good, but service horribly slow. The hostess barely smiled and stood around. The only server never seemed to be around, although was nice. The table was too small to dine on for two. It was more of a cocktail table, which really shouldn’t be in the restaurant section. They could use a bit of attention in the restaurant and with customer service. However, we’d likely return with hopes these issues can be improved!…
We had an amazing experience in this modern and authentic hotel. We loved the décor, full of art and powerful, moving messages about women's rights and civil rights. The rooftop bar and pool area was a bonus and a nice surprise, with beautiful views of the city, authentic drinks, and great music. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, also with beautiful views of the city. Everything was just perfect! Kudos to the staff for the amazing service 👏
We stayed for 5 nights at Zena. The location was excellent close to metro stops for multiple lines. Staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable with modern technology built in! Modern decor and theming, great lobby with downstairs bar perfect for a relaxed evening. Overall a great place to stay.
I would encourage anyone staying in the business district of Washington D.C. to stay at Hotel Zena, A Viceroy Urban Retreat! During my stay I was surround my individuals who were kind and welcoming. The atmosphere encouraged everyone to be who they are and this was demonstrated by the staff. Art is displayed throughout the entire hotel and is worth staying in it’s self.
Our family stayed at both the Viceroy and Hotel Zena for holiday vacation. We particularly appreciated the connecting family room deal at Zena. The decor is stunning and the service impeccable. Million, on the valet team, is one of the kindest souls I’ve encountered in my life. I will definitely return to Hotel Zena and I am a believer in the Viceroy properties.
Hotel Zena is a beautiful modern take on female empowerment with female leadership. The bar serves wonderful drinks and it's a nice space to lounge during your stay. The staff is wonderful from the valets to front desk staff like Beryl, Joachim, Colvin, Makia, and Hassan. Staff is so helpful and greets you with a welcoming warm smile. I recommend to all my friends to stay here.
In travel quite a bit. This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in. The ambiance was perfect. My suite with a view of Logan Circle was phenomenal. It was very clean and the electronics and personal touches were so nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. The doormen were very polite and helpful. I had a makeup artist that weekend and they were very helpful in ensuring she had assistance with her things and made it up to my room. Overall, I will return when I am in DC again.
The hotel was super clean and staff was super friendly/accommodating. This place has great amenities for both leisure and work. It is located in a central place, walking distance to landmark attractions and great restaurants. I would not recommend driving a car just because of the convenience of the location but if you do, parking is an additional cost/hassle to consider!
This property is in a perfect location. Loved the modern, creative feel. Staff was helpful, friendly, competent. Enjoyed cocktails at the bar. Very clean. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you!!!
This morning we had brunch at Fig and Leaf and truly enjoyed it. Alvin, our waiter, was INCREDIBLE—very attentive and had great recommendations. The food was great, the mimosa bar was cute, and we had a great time!
