Where else would someone who has a birthday on the 4th of July spend their birthday except in DC, and when you turn 50 - you do it at the Willard Hotel! Patrotic and classic DC to the best! Very traditional rooms (cotton sheets to die for!), great atmosphere and staff is at your beck and call. Highly recommend!

The rooms are luxurious, but a bit worn around the edges - even for a 'classic' hotel. The staff are impeccable though, and the amenities and decor are beautiful. And with a 2 block walk to the White House, the location cannot be beat! Definitely a great place to stay.

Staff was, without exception, outstanding. Hotel was just beautiful-lots of history. you couldn't ask for a better location. Bed was super-comfy. Lots of thick thirsty towels. Room was spotlessly clean.

This historical hotel has a little museum in it that was fascinating to go to in order to see who stayed there and what kind of history happened within the building. Martin Luther King finished his "I Have a Dream" speech in one of the rooms, and it seems that every president since its original founding has visited--no doubt because...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in June 2015 during our first visit to Washington. The hotel is beautifully appointed throughout from the large and ornate lobby entrance to the high quality and spacious bedroom. The location is excellent for visiting all the main sites in Washington being two blocks from the Whitehouse and 5 minutes walk...

The Willard Inter-Continental Hotel DC is, for far, one of the most fantastic hotels I have ever been. My husband and I stayed there for 3 days between Christmas and New Years, so Christmas decoration were on... stunning! The service is impeccable. Used to very important guests, the employees of the Willard don't make any difference between a diplomat and...

Staying at the historic Willard is a wonderful indulgence! The hotel is beautiful with impeccable service, large quiet rooms, and soft heavenly beds. We enjoyed cocktails in the storied Round Robin Bar and afternoon refreshments under the shade of the umbrellas at the Cafe du Parc. Our only comaint was that housekeeping kept forgetting to replenish our coffee service, an...

This historic hotel is where the term "lobbyist" was first coined by President Grant while Washington insiders attempted to get his ear during his afternoon cigar and drink outings in the Willard's lobby. The Willard still never disappoints. Outstanding service by an excellent staff. Two blocks from the White House and the Metro. Enjoy the historic lobby, comfortable rooms, and...

We could walk to all the museums and all of the local restaurants. Concierge was extremely helpful. Quick trip from the airport. Did not eat there but there are 2 Starbucks within 5 minutes and the old ebbitt grill was very close for an amazing breakfast. Room was nice but would not classify as luxury. Would definitely stay here again.
