(NOTE: This review is for afternoon tea only.) My wife and I stopped at the Willard for afternoon tea in mid-November. It is held in Peacock Alley, right off the main lobby. It is a traditional afternoon tea, with a pot of tea for each person and a three-level tower of savory and sweet treats. Service was attentive. There was...

Afternoon tea here at the hotel is a way of giving back to the local community in traditions. The quality of the teas, food offerings and live entertainment are adjusted throughout the year to concord with the season's. We very much enjoy receiving families and friends to partake in this Willard/DC tradition. Thank you for sharing your comments. Sincerely Patrick...

Love this hotel. It's ornate and glitzy and feels full of history. Very pleased with our hotel room. Large and comfortable. Our bed is so comfy and we slept great. Good view from floor 11. Such a perfect location.. Very close to White House. I think this must be the best hotel in Washington DC.

From the outside this is Washington's most historic and most beautiful hotel. The lobbies are magnificent, and it is from century ago hotel guests --influencing members of Congress --comes the term lobbyist. But the hotel sadly is understaffed and the linens and amenities are not what is expected of far North of $500 a night. If someone else is paying...

I stayed here and contributed a review in April 2013. It was wonderful. In April of 2013 I stayed with several girlfriends for my bachelorette party. Everyone loved it. This time around I stayed November 7th, and 8th 2014 with my Husband, just for a weekend getaway, and it was just as great! The front desk staff were friendly. I...

Great hotel and very comfy. We had 2 rooms and found both to be roomy, clean, and quiet. One of the rooms was a little dark because the only window was a porthole. Great little coffee shop behind the front desk, with a great in house restaurant. Very convenient to the mall, about a 5 block walk.
