My new favorite DC hotel. Stayed here 2x October-November. Terrific location close to White House and great restaurants. Both stays they had my room ready early so I was able to change, go for a run on the Mall before meetings. Rooms are large and have everything you need including large desk with proper chair, plenty of outlets, good climate control, coffee and tea maker. Despite central location, it’s quiet and I got a good night’s sleep. Staff is terrific- the same person checked me in both stays, doormen are helpful and friendly, housekeeping does a thorough job each day [don’t forget to tip the hardest working staff in any hotel :)

If you want a 10 star stay at a 5 star rate, then you've found the right place. You're greeted by valet and bell service as soon as you arrive. Then you step into the most magnificent breath taking lobby. You walk a short distance to check in. There you'll find friendly smiles and the best guest services. The rooms are sophisticatedly decorated and very spacious and clean. The bathrooms are well appointed, just in case you left something at home. Showers are hot and water pressure is great. Afternoon Tea is a favorite event here, so you might want to call ahead for reservations. Location, location, location. This is it. You're .7 miles to the Washington Monument,.05 to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, .04 miles to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, .06 miles to the Smithsonian American Art Museum and .04 to the White House. Most museum are open daily /free to the public. If you don't want to walk, taxi's are always on standby. Kudos to Jack, Ramsey and Rose- outstanding front desk service. Hailou superior Bellman and Abey- the best valet service. Also Ms. Delois- turn down services. Special Thanks to Ms. Vanessa Perez. She had a bottle of wine and a hand written note delivered to my room. She also ensured I had the best stay of my life. I will never forget your kindness and generosity. The Intercontinental Willard is truly a 10 star stay. From check in to sadly check out. You never want to leave:)

The Willard InterContinental, dubbed the 'Residence of Presidents' is an iconic property located in Downtown DC near the White House and this proximity makes it ideal to host presidents, dignitaries and celebrities alike. My guest room had a generous footprint, cozy king bed, historically-styled furniture, a navy, grey ,ivory palette with gold accents, a small seating area and a handy work-desk. The bath was marbleized with a walk -in shower. The Cafe du Parc is a classic French brasserie serving all dayparts food fare with a coffee shop for 'grab n go' pastries, coffee and some such. The Round Robin Bar is a bar of distinction and reputation providing classic cocktails and light bites. Other Willard amenities included: a spa, A fully equipped gym and an outdoor pool. So, if you are looking for a luxurious base camp in close proximity to the city's must-see sights.............then try the.......InterContinental the Willard Washington DC........... ............the Grand Dame of DC.

From the porters to the people at reception, from the bartenders to the housekeepers, every person who works at The Willard is friendly, helpful, and always professional. The hotel is beautifully appointed and steeped in DC history. They’ve hosted all of the most famous people and treat those of us who aren’t celebrities with the utmost respect. Two nights here in a double Queen room were heaven on earth. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

This is one of the few hotels I can actually say rates as Excellent in all areas. Check in staff were very helpful, we had a 2 Queen Beds and the room was huge looking out onto 14th Street. Our room was very quiet and kept very clean by the housekeeping ladies, each morning when working they were not intrusive. We had breakfasts included in our stay for 9 nights and found these exceptional in value, for quality and the high polite service standard by all staff who worked there. Thanks to JP and the lady called Ty? JP especially could not do enough for us. The hotel contains a lot of history and has a location at the back of the hotel with photos and information on some of the events that have taken place over the years. Its in a great location, one side is the White House, in front of the main reception area in the WW1 Monument and just a short walk past this is the White House Visitors centre. Walk out to the left and within minutes you're on Pennsylvania Avenue. Check out was smooth and no fear of not getting a taxi, plenty waiting or called up. Certainly would stay here again. Thanks to all of the Staff.

The Willard is in a prime location for site seeing. The front desk staff is very nice. And that’s about it. The beds are probably the most uncomfortable tables I’ve ever slept on. Recommend the hotel invest in new mattresses with some give to them. Second, there’s nothing worse than going out for the day, getting hot and tired, then returning to a room where the cleaning staff has decided (or been directed) to turn the air off and it’s now 82 degrees in the room. Recommend a new policy on that. That aside, it’s quiet, the bathroom is nice, and it’s a pleasant area. But there’s lots of spots in DC that can beat that. On a side, we went to the Round Robin bar and it’s a whole other level of “no” I’ll review.

The hotel is of course beautiful and elegant however its the employees that make it extra special. We had a great experience with everyone that we interacted with but especially Ali who was extremely helpful even prior to our stay answering my questions to ensure our trip was everything that we hoped for. We will definitely be back.
