This hotel was very comfortable for our 4 day stay over the American Thanksgiving weekend. The location was great and we walked to the mall and to Georgetown very easily and necessities like a pharmacy and a Starbucks were close by. I love old hotels like this. Being thanksgiving DC was empty so we got a VERY good rate. If...

We recently stayed here while visiting family in the Embassy Row neighborhood. This historic property is in keeping with properties in the area and it suited us more than the chain hotels around the corner. It is well situated for anyone who is interested in viewing the beautiful embassies in the area. There are good restaurants in the area. The...

This is a lovely old hotel, full of history. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the bathrooms are reasonably well-updated. The problems all come down to a lack of attention to detail. I'm allergic to feathers and noted that on the reservation. The hotel had already defeathered the room when we arrived. Excellent - most hotels wait to do...

This hotel is in my view one of the prettiest and friendliest hotels in Washington DC. The location is just great : barely two minutes walk from Dupont Circle, situated bang in the middle of Embassy Row, with plenty of dining and shopping options well within walking distance, And the hotel is uncommonly rich in history, including that it was...

I've been driving and walking past the Fairfax for more than 25 years, always vaguely aware of its historic ups and downs. Finally I have a chance to stay here, and I can't say enough about what a surprisingly charming and well-appointed hotel it is. I took the DC Metro here--barely a 5-minute walk from the Dupont Circle station, passing...

My boyfriend and I stayed here over American Thanksgiving 2016. I signed up for iPrefer rewards so we got free wifi for the duration of our stay, it would have cost us $12 USD/day otherwise (which seems like a lot to me)... iPrefer also allowed for a late check-out, which was 12pm. They do check your bags for you if...

The hotel is conveniently located close to DuPont circle, lots of good restaurants around, the rooms are large and very well appointed, service is good, walking distance to a lot of places and taxi fares to monuments and museums are cheap, also they accept credit cards.

We stayed at this hotel for a 4 day Thanksgiving vacation primarily due to attractive rates. This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are small but comfortable. Being an Expedia VIP customer we had free breakfast and free WIFI. However, upon checking in we were not given the vouchers and the access code which lowers my trust in...

We were happy to welcome you for your Thanksgiving holiday getaway. It's wonderful to hear that your overall time with us was a special one, we do, however, wish that we had impressed you at every turn. We appreciate the feedback that we receive from our guests as it allows us the opportunity to improve upon the areas that may...

I booked this hotel as a last minute stay while in DC and the offer (via Orbitz) was highly appealing for a 4-star property. The staff could not be more attentive, however, the hotel itself is far from the 4-star classification it gets on most websites. There were multiple issues during our stay and while they were resolved quickly and...

We regret any confusion regarding breakfast. For guests that wish to include breakfast in their stay, we offer special packages that are featured on our website. It's always our hope that our guests experience an exceptional stay and it's disappointing that we didn't provide that for you on this occasion. Thank you, we hope you'll give us another chance to...
