I arrived assuming, of course, a 4 star hotel would 1) provide room service, 2) provide bathroom slippers, and 3) have a polite, discrete and friendly staff. WRONG! While the rooms are beautiful, they do NOT provide bathroom slippers, there is no mini bar, no half and half for in room coffee, an antiquated TV and remote system NO room...

I recently travelled to the DMV area for an arts advocacy conference. The staff was friendly and it was a great environment to get work done. I dined in the restaurant and had a meeting in the bar area. The Manager Semere Zemo worked tirelessly to ensure that our expectations were met. Our room was clean and well tended to....

This is a well known hotel of Washington, DC. Several popular leaders like Wife of JFK Kennedy etc have stayed at this place. Situated right opposite Indian Embassy, it is a corner property at a great location. You have Starbucks, an Indian and Afghan restaurant nearby so that you get different varieties of cuisines. Not much of traffic. So, nice...

I was in US for a month and travelled to different cities but I would say this was by far the best hotel I stayed in. Very close to Dupont Circle, the metro station & Starbucks. Very cosy & good rooms. You get delicious free cookies every evening at the lobby :) Friendly & helpful staff too!! For Indians very...

The Fairfax Hotel at Embassy Row is located in an area of Mansions dedicated to foreign embassies. The hotel is located near Dupont Circle with good walking access to restaurants and coffee shops and train station. The hotel has valet parking only. The hotel offered good bath and bed linens with comfortable mattress. Decor was classic early American. There was...

Breakfast was poor at best. Reception staff unhelpful verging on rude. It appears cost cutting measures have been introduced that have the quality of the hotel. The best thing going for the hotel is the location. Not the greatest experience!!

This hotel is located on Embassy Row and is very quiet and peaceful, but within blocks of the vibrant DuPont Circle area. It is also only a 4 block walk to lots of restaurants and clubs on 17th Street. The hotel is clean. Friendly staff and in a very safe area. Not a fan of the buffet only breakfast.
