My husband and I stayed here for a night for our first wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the doormen and the doorman caught me off guard when he pulled out my chair to sit down to check in for our reservation. The hotel porter pointed out historical items in the lobby and gave us information on the bar, gym...

The employee's friendly and helpful attitude combined with the ambiance of the hotel make it a must stay for Washington DC. We did all the usual site seeing, and returning each afternoon to The Jefferson made our trip perfect in every way. Make sure to have breakfast in the hotel. It is very convenient to all the sights too !!

Every staff member that I came in contact with was polished, professional and friendly. The hotel was spotless and well maintained. Room service dinner and restaurant breakfast were both very well done. Great value and a delight.

A very old classic hotel with one of the best happy hours I have been too. Very uppity though. I was there in a business casual outfit and felt like I was the town bum so be aware of that. Strong chance you will recognize someone famous, (politician, news reporter, etc) there too.

We stayed at the Jefferson last week for our 24th wedding anniversary and had an amazing stay. The staff was wonderfully helpful, the room very comfortable, and the room service perfect. The location, close enough to everything yet not too close to be disruptive, is excellent.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary together in Washington D.C. and decided to treat ourselves to a first-rate hotel experience. We were thinking a combination of historical charm and a change from the usual "cold and plain" hotels we had both stayed previously. This wonderfully and delightfully staffed hotel exceeded every expectation and beyond. Every detail right...

After that title, I don’t think there is much more to say, other than add specific observations. Simply the best staff I have ever had a hotel. I am including everyone: doorman; receptionists; concierge (special shout out to Gary and Chris!); waiters; security; housekeeping. Always with a upbeat, friendly, informative and willing to go the extra mile. I can give...

The Jefferson is outstanding in every way. It is luxurious but with an intimate feel, far more relaxing and appealing to us than a large bustling property. The decor is lovely; the rooms have a quiet elegance and comfort with everything a guest may need on hand, exactly where you would look for it. The interior designers are obviously very...

We stayed for three nights with a small child (though it's obviously not a family-oriented hotel)- everything was good, without any fussiness. Using the complimentary gym at a nearby club was a bit awkward (it took a while for the staff to let us in as hotel guests), but otherwise, great experience.

We usually stay at The Four Seasons, but after my wife read the reviews on Trip Advisor about The Jefferson, we decided to give it a try.
