From the moment that you arrive till the second that you leave the service is impeccable exactly what you would expect from the hotel of this caliber. Service was prompt and delicious. The staff at the off the record bar were fun and attentive. The robe, the slippers, the turn down service were all great as was the gift wrapped...

I would have given Hay-Adams five marks but we requested a superior room with a king size bed. Instead we got a room that was more like a cubby-hole with a queen bed. My wife and I had to squeeze around each other to move around. Of all the hotels we have stayed in, the room we stayed in the...

My husband and myself absolutely love Washington DC and have always previously stayed at the Intercontinental Willard Hotel whenever we have visited D.C. However on this visit, based on the superb recommendations and rave reviews from some friends of ours who loved the Hay-Adams, we decided we would give it a try and see how it would compare with the...

The Hay Adams is an incredible hotel. Expect a grand lobby, an elegant dining room, professional and helpful service, and amazing views (if you book the view towards the White House). It is worth it to get the high-floor balcony rooms with park views because the height allows you to clearly see the White House and the Washington Monument. The...

Recently stayed a few nights here. The location near the White house is amazing! The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help you have a great stay. The bar is a lot of fun with great staff and nice food and cocktails. I had breakfast in the dining room and room service which was okay not...

We were fortunate for the opportunity to stay at the Hay-Adams during a busy DC weekend. Our room was not ready at check-in, so we were rewarded with unique gifts from the hotel kitchen! We upgraded to the Lafayette Park View and the Juliet Balcony for the "Full Experience". Everything from valet, to room service to Concierge. We opted to...

You can't beat being in front of the White House for a full DC experience. Not for children. The staff is really nice and helpful. Yes the rooms are small compared to a regular hotel, but this hotel has tradition and you have that trade off. The reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I expected more...

We loved our stay at the Hay Adams over fall break with our 10 year old daughter. We got a queen suite, which is a queen bed and queen sofa pullout. The room is large with extra chair and desk and chair beyond the sofa. We got room 600, which is quiet and opens to the courtyard, so no street...
