Tucked away in DuPont Circle area. Staff are outstanding and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Guest rooms large. Small lobby. Connected to restaurant. Food okay but restaurant needs renovation.

The Klimpton Madera is smaller than other Klimptons and the entry area is very cramped. The hotel is beginning to show some wear and tear and needs paint and new wallpaper. The staff, however, is very responsive and friendly. Location is very convenient to DC Metro and there are many good restaurants in the immediate area. This Klimpton does not...

I am a great fan of the Kimpton hotels, and this one is first-rate. Clean, comfortable and unique located in a lovely DC neighborhood. It's a pleasure to stay at Madera as a business traveler and I imagine it's a fun place for leisure travelers too. The staff could not be more helpful. Highly recommend!

My husband and I and our two dogs enjoyed a long weekend at the Kimpton Madera and we would definitely stay here again. What I love about this hotel (and all Kimptons) is how pet-friendly they are and how nice the staff is. They were so nice, helpful and accomodating throughout the booking process as well as our entire stay....

Because what serves as the lobby now is basically a hallway with a podium. That being said, the podium was staffed with really friendly, helpful people who served us wine that did not come from the 5$ bin. Our room. Not by the elevator, which was good. Next to the ice maker which constantly churned out ice cubes. All night....

Another fine Kimpton in Washington, DC. This property is great because you can get a room with a balcony which is rare for hotels in the district. One of the older Kimpton properties in Washington, DC but has been maintained well. They have a great restaurant - Room Service. The staff is always amazing and does whatever they can to...

We enjoyed the Kimpton Madera for a girls weekend. The location was perfect for walking around and site seeing. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly (front desk, valet, wine service, cleaning staff - interactions all extremely pleasant). Very comfortable beds, wonderful sheets, nice decor, plenty of space in our "snack room". Internet worked very well for a short meeting...

This was a girls' trip and the room was perfectly comforable for 4 of us in one room for one night. Room was larger than most I've stayed in in DC. Always appreciate the Kimpton happy hour and friendly staff. Excellent location.

I have reached the point where I basically stay at Madera every time I visit DC. I'm a business traveler.
