I arrived in the evening but still light out. It was hard to get to the entrance with a car but the valet was good. I was turned off for two reasons right off. One was that I booked the room through hotels.com and the credit card on file was no longer good due to my card being compromised and... More

Chose this location primarily because it is across the street from the Philippines embassy which I wife needed to visit to renew her passport. The location turned out to be great. The hotel is quiet and the Metro stations are only a few blocks away. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit older and slightly worn... More

Overall, we had a pretty good stay. The staff was mostly polite and the room was clean. The biggest complaint about the room was the noise. The walls seem to be pretty thin, and there was quite a bit of noise from the adjacent room. The location is very good, with the National Mall being a 10-15 minute walk away.... More

Thank you for staying at the Beacon Hotel, we sincerely apologize there was a misunderstanding with the AAA discount. Our relationship with AAA allows for the parking discount to be valid only when you book the AAA rate through the hotel directly. We certainly hope this does not defer you from returning as it sounds the rest of your stay... More

The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room was big enough to hold all the people, some of the spoke very little english so sometimes it was hard to communicate. The hotel was very clean and the doormen were exceptionally nice, helping us call taxis, giving us directions and tips for restaurants, there are quite a few nice restaurants... More

Thanks for staying at the Beacon Hotel and taking the time to share your experience. We couldn't be more happy that you had a good experience with us. Our staff works hard to ensure that all stays go as smoothly as possible. Please consider booking directly on the hotel's website where wifi is complementary with your rate. We look forward... More

I went to D.C. with my college. My peers, teachers, and I were attending CSIS for seminars the entire week, so the Beacon was definitely a convenient hotel. It is also close to many attractions and the subway. It didn't have breakfast though, but I have been told that nicer hotels do not usually have free breakfast. I thought the... More

Thank you for staying at the Beacon Hotel. We have a very good relationship with CSIS as they are directly across the street from us and we love hosting their guests. You are also correct in that the hotel is very close to many attractions including great restaurants, shopping, museums, galleries and historical landmarks. We may not offer complimentary breakfast... More

The hotel was pleasant, quiet, and close to all local attractions. We got an amazing rate unfortunately (but most big cities are like this) the parking was not included. We had to pay a fee for the parking but was a valet parking which the valet guys were very professional and polite. The front desk staff were very pleasant during... More

We got the room with double beds to stay for 4 nights. It is an older hotel, but was pretty decent for the price in comparison to others. Nice beds, great air conditioning (which we were thankful for due to the humidity outside). The only thing wrong with our room was that the bathroom had a sliding wooden door that... More

This hotel provided the best comfort and ultimate access to visit Washington DC. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable and the room had a great layout giving us plenty of room. Service was superb. The metro was a short walk. This connected us to the city. Of course for those in shape, walking to the White House and monuments... More

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your kind words about your experience. Our team works hard to ensure that every guest's stay is as great as it can be. Short walk to the White House. Also bars and restaurants nearby. Clean room. Nice place for the price. I booked on their website directly and it was a little cheaper and I got free wifi for one device included.

Came with my husband & sister for a wedding. Price was right (except for parking but I guess that is DC - fortunately we only had a car one day) & bottle of Champagne was appreciated plus convenient to many local attractions. Agree with reviewers who said they could use a little upgrading. Couldn't get the shower quite right (rm... More
