The Beacon offers a sense of levity in a city that often weights itself down. Intimate gathering spaces invite guests to loosen their proverbial ties and let down their hair. People watch in the lively lobby, catch up on international news in the sunken library, kick back with a creative cocktail on the rooftop terrace, or ponder the artwork presented throughout the public spaces. The Beacon brings together brilliant minds and global influences in an approachable setting. The Beacon Bar & Grill offers an eclectic menu of traditional American fare and internationally-influenced dishes prepared with locally sourced produce. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails can be enjoyed in the atrium lounge. Fireside booths in the main dining room make for especially warm memories. SkyBar, a rooftop lounge, offers creative cocktails and light snacks, paired with incredible city views.

The room was beautiful roomy, loved the couch, bed and pillows were top-notch, and the rain-shower and bathroom could be on an HGTV special! Sad that the restaurant was not open. Service was very satisfactory. Location was excellent.

Large, clean room with great room darkening curtains. Bathroom was on the small side but stocked with necessities which were replenished daily. Housekeeping was great - 5 * Location was great - 5* - close to DuPont Circle walkable to monuments (25 mins or so) Front desk service (from the guy) leaves a lot to be desired... 1* Not very welcoming or friendly or helpful..

Would give 6 out of 5 if I could. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Made the extra effort in every respect. The hotel itself is classy and the rooms are spacious and quiet. Visited DC for the weekend and the location of the hotel could not be better. Minutes walk from the monuments, Independence mall, Dupont Circle and farmers market, endless restaurants. Highly highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Beacon and while the location was great, the promised facilities were not. I brought it to the attention of the front desk that the room fridge was not working, they said they would get this fixed. This did not happen. Then I went the next day to ask if this was looked at and they advised it was. They ended up giving a new fridge but only compensated for a small portion of what I lost with their faulty goods. They promised an additional amount and then when I checked this wasn’t included. They lied about compensation and didn’t fix what they promised.

Comfortable bed, quiet and spacious room. Friendly upbeat staff. Price was right. We visited Washington D.C. to see our son and girlfriend who were in close proximity not far from DuPont Circle and the many attractions and amenities we enjoyed.

Unfriendly staff, not helpful at front desk or valet, toilet handle broke off, lights didn’t work. Not worth the money. We paid for valet and ended up having to get our own car when we checked out. Will never stay here again.

Even though the hotel is advertised as providing WiFi, a gym, and cleaning, they will bill these amenities separately. I called the manager and all he said was that people complain about it a lot. Basically he said go ahead and complain, we're used to it. I did some research on resort fees and basically they are just a scummy way for hotels to make extra money. I wouldn't recommend staying here simply because of this sneaky way of making money off of their clients.

I booked the room thru tickets at work i thought i had a deal at $83 a night . Until i was hit with $60 to park on the side of hotel. then our heat switch on the wall didn't work the temperature was 20degrees that night our bed only had sheets. Checking out we were hit with a $27 resort fee . Only thing good about the Beacon is the LOCATION.

This hotel lies in a fantastic setting. They do not have a pool but they provided two beach chairs in the hotel room that was great for the beach. Rooms are so so and they do not clean rooms everyday. We paid over 300 dollars per night. The breakfast is close to not be sanitary. Bread lies for ours in plastic bins. They seem to have little control their and they use a ticket system so you have to elgive them a ticket. We have given them tickets 2 days in a row and after a couple of minutes they asked us if we had given them tickets. They also asked us to not take food twice. This whole breakfast experience has been really bad. If it wasn't for that I would rate this hotel a three. Note: Hotel management said they are not responsible for breakfast. It is another company. Ok. Fair. However, they are the ones to manage that quality not us as guests.

Good morning, Ethornbe, please kindly remove your review, this was posted to the wrong Beacon Hotel, we are located in Washington Dc, our restaurant has been closed since March 2020, we don't offer any food options, we don't have a pool and no beach chairs, we don't get bread delivered since all our Food and Beverage operations are still closed. Thank you.
