I was very pleasantly surprised with the Capital Hilton. Even before checking in, I had an issue with the Hilton online check in and I called in to the front desk. Teresa was very helpful w my concern and addressed it to my complete satisfaction. When arriving at the hotel, I picked up my water and went up to the room. The elevators were very fast (throughout our stay) and reached our room. The room was nicely decorated, but what impressed us most was the impeccable cleanliness of the room. Even in these days of corona, I occasionally check in to a room that’s less than perfect. I was delighted that the room was just spotless and so was the bathroom. Overnight was quiet and it was a very peaceful night. The following morning we went down for the grab and go breakfast. This was a letdown. Signage to the location were lacking and myself and other guests had to wonder around to find the location. We had to wait through a long and slow line, only to discover a very limited, small and not very appetizing bagged breakfast. Coffee was dispensed one at a time by the single attendant. This was by far the low-light of our stay. We used the app check out. All in all, the hotel was a pleasure except for the breakfast which I would skip next time.

Hotel's Favorite
My son and I took a road trip to a few states up in the north eastern area and on the way back decided to stop and stay at the hotel where we had stayed before when we were in the DC area. Folk's, This has always been a good place to stay as it is located close by to several restaraunts that are walking distance. However, due to the pandemic, the hotel and several businesses locally are not at full capacity. however, you can still go to a local bar and have a drink or eat. Folk's the streets were quiet, clean and no issues with protesters in the area and we felt god about our visit, so go by and stay and visit the are and you will be happy you did.

I stayed a couple of weeks in the hotel and really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is great. Whenever you ask for something the staff will bring it over immediately. I even had an air refresher in my room and a big fridge. One of the best things. The gym is open! And it’s big. You have a wide choice of weights and cardio machines. The location was perfect for me as I had been reporting in the us elections during my stay and it’s just a 2 minutes walk from the north side of the White House. All in all 5 stars from me. Karina

I was greeted by Theresa at both check in and check out, and she was very friendly and helpful! I stayed in a basic room (no fridge/microwave) and most hotel amenities were not available due to COVID. My chief complaint: bottled water was not easily accessible. Specifically, the vending machine on the 8th floor was sold out and complimentary water was not available in my room. With both the restaurant and gift shop closed, the vending machines should be well stocked at all times. But to be fair, I didn’t bring this to the attention of hotel staff because I was preoccupied during my stay. That said, I don’t think you should have to leave the hotel to purchase snacks or water at a decent price (COVID or not). Thankfully, I brought a water bottle with me so I was able to fill it at the water station located in the gym. The hotel is nice and in a great location; within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the metro.
