Loved yours truly. Clean, elegant, & quirky come to mind. Very friendly accommodating staff. Easy 10 min walk to dupont circle metro station. 25-minute walk to the lincoln Memorial and Mall. $10 cab ride back. Walgreens & CVS 1 block over. Small refrigerator in room. Microwave down the hall. We had a toddler, so those are important. Favs... Marco's Lobster Roll, crepeaway, Sweetgreen salads, & homeSlyce pizza. All 5-9 minutes away. The bar in the MercyMe has "old fashioned" on tap (pace yourself. They're strong). Thank you, Yours truly for making our first visit to DC a memorable one. We'll be back!
The location, the food and service were exceptionally good. The ambiance of the hotel is very good. The lobby is furnished with comfortable furniture. The pastry chef is extremely talented. I had the most amazing desert and pastry.
I love the location of the hotel. I do not appreciate the $30 per might destination fee that was not disclosed anywhere when I was booking. I looked at the desk and asked about it, it is not disclosed anywhere there either. How are you able to charge me $30 per night just to be here? The point is why were we never told about the fee?? We stayed fro 5 nights so the extra $150 really effected my overall experience and I wouldn't stay here or with IGH again.
The room was clean, and the amenities were average. The hotel staff was helpful, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they were friendly. I was shocked to find a bare concrete floor in the bedroom with a rug under the bed. I would not stay here again. It is overpriced in my opinion.
I had a good stay, marred by one event: some very loud guests arrived at their room directly across the hall from my room a bit after midnight my last night. I called the front desk to ask them to quiet down, but they did not. They were aagin loud in the morning. I expect this kind of thing in Vegas, but it was a little hard to take on a DC business trip. The rooms are small but the bed very comfortable. I had asked for a quiet room, and was at the end of the hall on the 9th floor. I was truly disappointed it didn't turn out to be quiet. I didn't eat at the restaurant, so no review there-- just that it was always hopping and loud.
Excellent hotel. Great service. Special mention to Marta at the front desk who went above and beyond, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Nice gym. Great bagel shop attached to hotel. Very trendy. Water available all day and cookies in the afternoon near the front desk
We had a great time at the (strangely named) Yours Truly Hotel! There’s a funky and buzzy vibe, where the large open bar which dominates the lobby/ground floor area is always busy, a young professional crowd seem to gather here, cool jazz/r&b/soul sounds float around. The staff are super friendly and our room was spacious, with two large double beds and all the usual facilities. The hotel is in a great neighbourhood, walkable (or a quick metro/bus ride) to the downtown DC sites and monuments. Recommended!
Great ambience. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The bar is well stocked with great servers. They serve signature cocktails which always makes a place more interesting. They also have a decent bar menu. There's also a bagel shop attached, so you can grab a quick bagel and coffe/tea for breakfast. I would definitely star here again.
I was supposed to stay for a two night stay but only stayed for two. From check in they have this one worker who just stared at you making you feel very uncomfortable. After one night, the next day my boyfriend asked him why he was staring at him and the police were called and we were kicked out of the hotel. I was promised compensation for the night we didn’t stay but still have not received anything and it has been three weeks.
The lobby and restaurant area were lively , spacious and comfortable. The front desk of the hotel was separated from the entryway/restaurant and that was nice. Hallways, elevator and gym were sparkling. The hallways to the rooms were painted a dark color and gave an elegant feel to the space. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Staff (Diya) was responsive and helpful when we encountered a problem. A really nice surprise was the Peloton bikes in the gym area. It was so great to get a workout in while staying here. Location was very convenient to bars, restaurants and the bus. I would stay here again.
